Gorgeous views

House and location are beautiful! Very clean and we had a great time. Be mindful not to accidentally pull into the neighbors driveway, my husband did and she ran out of the house flipping out. It was a honest mistake. Besides Karen we had an amazing time with beautiful views.

Beautiful House But Spiders Galore

When we arrived at the house we were very happy with the location, the space, and the overall amenities. Honestly a very beautiful home! Unfortunately, the lower level porch had been overtaken by spiders (on the ceiling and furniture). We totally understood that the house is located in a wooded area, and understand some spiders and webs will be visible. However, what we saw was literally not tens, not twenty, but hundreds of spiders crawling above our head as we tried to enjoy the hot tub. What we saw is indicative of nothing short of months of negligence to the home exterior. It was dangerous and unacceptable, and removed our ability to enjoy the actual facilities. There were spiders coming down within inches of our heads. It was crazy. However, when requested they did have someone come and clean the spiders from the deck, which my party and I appreciated. Honestly overall though with the amount of spiders inside and out it makes the place close to unrentable.

Lovely, well-appointed house overlooking Cayuga Lake

Basically, it was all positive. The kitchen - dining - lounge area is one flowing space, which was great for family reunion. Kitchen is very well equipped with dishes, pans, utensils, etc. Beds were comfortable, though BR4 a little small for adults. One caution: the 50-odd steps to the water is a bit much for some older guests. Also, the palatial master BR is loft over the living space, so once the couple or person occupying that room goes to bed, everyone needs to go to bed due to sound carrying. Aside from that, it was perfect for us.

Scenic Family Getaway in the age of Stay at Home

Beautiful lakefront property, nicely decorated, sparkling clean, and with many amenities. We came to spend some family time together when travel and tourism don't feel safe, and this was a lovely spot to gather and enjoy the view from the decks and the dock. The kitchen is amazingly well-equipped and spacious, so we did a lot of cooking and baking. Almost a shame, because in normal times this area has a number of restaurants we would try.

Rise and (sun)shine!

Our family of (4) enjoyed a relaxing week at The Lily Pad. The home is located on the sunrise side of the lake, and with the master bedroom loft windows you won't have to move an inch to see it. (This is not a master for late-sleepers!) Home is well appointed, clean and teenager-friendly. A storage shed on the dock houses extra chairs, floats and two fishing poles (not noted on the listing). The stairs to the dock are steep, but manageable and well lit in the evening. The owners obviously care about the guest experience, and have done their best to create a high-end destination on the lake.
