Hotel Central4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed 4 nights in this fine hotel. Excellent location (a pleasant 5 min traffic free walk to Golden Roof), a small private (upon reservation) garage or a public car park underneath, extensive buffet breakfast with fresh carrot juicer. Although we only booked a standard room it was large enough, comfortable, good bathroom and excellent beds. Quiet room, 100% dark. Good free WIFI. Steam bath and sauna with cooling terrace on the roof. It was hot when we were there but we didn’t miss the lack of AC as we don’t have it at home. There is a restaurant in the hotel.
Awesome location, walking distance to the city center. Very friendly stuff of the hotel, we were provided with clear instructions for parking and breakfast. Steam sauna and gym were included to the price of the room. Had very clean room and comfortable bed. Good breakfast at the Cafe Central which you can reach from the hotel directly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay for business and leisure purposes and stay there again myself. It was very hot weather when we stayed in the hotel, so it would be great to have some fan in the room.
The location is superb, just a stone throw away from the Old Town of Innsbruck. The hotel is really clean. The beds are comfortable. The Hotel lobby is small but beautifull. The breakfast buffet is acceptable.
Although the look of the hotel is remarkable, the room was not air conditioned and also was disappointed that a 4 star hotel did not have a pool! Overall, the view of the window from the room was overlooking the mountains.
The location of the hotel is convenient, only a short walk from all the restaurants and shops in the old town. The room is very spacious and modern. One issue we had is the lack of air-conditioning, which we understand is not common in most hotels in the region. Luckily the hotel makes available some portable electric fans for customers on a first-come- first-served basis. The breakfast is fine but the staff, somehow very young, could have been more motivated and attentive to what's happening to the buffet table and customs' needs. All in all, we had a good stay there.
We had a 4 hour wait between trains, so where do you go on a Sunday where everything was closed, and about to rain? We wandered around and found the Central Hotel with its patio service and thought it looked nice. Inside the bar/restaurant it had a classic period feel to it. The food we ordered was utterly delicious and the hot chocolate to die for. We found the staff helpful and we would certainly visit it again if we found ourselves in Innsbruck.
This hotel is rated as 4 star hotel, but it is NOT. Breakfast is good and so is the location (city center). But, the rooms are very basic, so are the amenities, no air condition, no ventilation in the bathroom, no parking (they do have 9 parking places, but you need to know to book it ...; I had to park my car at a public parking place in the city). All in all, not a good value for the money spent!!
The hotel is in a nice location with clean rooms. The showers are tiny though. Breakfast was included with my hotel rate and the breakfast options were reasonable. A BIG WATCH OUT -- THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING in the hotel. I reserved through a third party website, and there was no mention of the lack of air conditioning, and it was huge disappointment when I arrived at the hotel. I was staying in June, and it was hot outside to the extent that I couldn't sleep at night. Second, the housekeeping staff are very rude. They do not knock when entering the room, and I was caught unawares every singe time they entered the room. I brought it to the attention of the front desk staff, but that did not have an impact. I would not stay at this hotel again.
The hotel was nice, clean, good service and nice breakfast! But the rooms had no air conditioning and it was unbelievably warm.... I shared a room with a colleague and we could barely sleep ind the heat. Because of the heat we had to sleep with the window completely open and there were so much noise all night long from the street! If they just invested in aircon so it was possible to sleep with the windows closed, it would be a really nice stay in Innsbruck. It was close to everything, the old town, the congress center and all the nice restaurants.
Nice hotel in a good central location BUT the noise at night was a shocker and kept us up from 1am for a good couple of hours. First it was the shouting, singing and fighting partygoers, followed by the street cleaners and refuse carts. We were on the se ond floor and heard it all....
