The hotel is in a nice location with clean rooms. The showers are tiny though. Breakfast was included with my hotel rate and the breakfast options were reasonable. A BIG WATCH OUT -- THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING in the hotel. I reserved through a third party website, and there was no mention of the lack of air conditioning, and it was huge disappointment when I arrived at the hotel. I was staying in June, and it was hot outside to the extent that I couldn't sleep at night. Second, the housekeeping staff are very rude. They do not knock when entering the room, and I was caught unawares every singe time they entered the room. I brought it to the attention of the front desk staff, but that did not have an impact. I would not stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was nice, clean, good service and nice breakfast! But the rooms had no air conditioning and it was unbelievably warm.... I shared a room with a colleague and we could barely sleep ind the heat. Because of the heat we had to sleep with the window completely open and there were so much noise all night long from the street! If they just invested in aircon so it was possible to sleep with the windows closed, it would be a really nice stay in Innsbruck. It was close to everything, the old town, the congress center and all the nice restaurants.

Nice hotel in a good central location BUT the noise at night was a shocker and kept us up from 1am for a good couple of hours. First it was the shouting, singing and fighting partygoers, followed by the street cleaners and refuse carts. We were on the se ond floor and heard it all....

Very centrally located hotel, offers also a garage, space advised to book in advance Very friendly and helpfull staff Room nice with flat tv , overlooking city ,very clean, excellent Breakfastbuffet Hotel has also a well know Coffeeshop,

My hubby booked us here for two nights as a surprise while on our wedding anniversary trip to Austria. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, it's unreal. Our TV stopped working in the room and within ten five minutes of telling reception, there was someone up to the room and fixing it. The breakfast is really nice too - a large selection of cooked and buffet, continental style in a lovely restaurant. Coffee is great too and their juice machine is Awesome! Would definitely stay here again as it's so close to everything in the city and not that far to travel for skiing either. The only downside was there was no bath in our room.

I note that some of the reviews of the Hotel Central are a bit critical. I really do not understand this. I travel alot, and stay in many hotels all around the world. I have to say that ... for a non-super luxury hotel at a very decent price .. the Hotel Central is outstanding! My room was newly renovated (I think) ... spotlessly clean ... and very restful. The breakfast is superb ... and in a beautiful Vienna-like cafe. This hotel is excellent value for money. I would not stay anywhere else in Innsbruck, and I will recommend this hotel to all of my travelling colleagues.

It's an O.K. sort of hotel but I get a feeling it's run for the local working population and business visitors rather than the tourist. First the good points of which there are not many -; The position of the hotel is good, just a 5 minute stroll to all the facilities and old town. The room was big enough with plenty of storage and the breakfast supplied was of good quality and choice. Even the coffee, which was out of a machine, was not bad at all. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Adjoining the hotel is the central cafe, a very large open establishment which was non smoking horray !! But now the down sides -; The cafe/bar shuts at 9.00pm and waiters come round and want you to pay up and move on !! So, nowhere for residents to get any refreshments after 9.00. Which is a joke. At breakfast residents use a small part of the cafe for breakfast but if you overstep the mark and try sit somewhere else you are abruptly told to move back to your designated area. Residents are crammed in with spaces as little as 6 inches between tables ( I don't want to sit that close to family at breakfast never mind strangers !) Again there was evidence that incoming customers from outside are given preferential treatment. The room we had 318, was o.k. apart from the bathroom which was tiny and the shower over bath set up was difficult, bordering on dangerous to get in and out of for anybody with physical difficulties or of ' a certain age '.The shower screen didn't work and the bathroom floor was soaked every morning. An upgrade is obviously overdue. Finally the other strange and interesting set up was a Venetian blind on the outside of the bedroom window which was open to to all the elements resulting in the blind banging on the window when there was any breeze !! It's a first for me and one I can't explain. Innsbruck is lovely but We will find better if we return, especially as this place isn't exactly cheap !

This is a fine hotel but nothing all that special. They do not have AC which is a issue when the city heats up. The woodwork is wonderful. Overall it is a very modern hotel. Our room faced the main street and, since we had to keep the windows open due to the heat, we were kept up til midnight with skateboarders rolling around and doing jumps/tricks.

We spent one day and night in this hotel last week and actually couldn't wait to leave- it was clean and the lobby was lovely and the woman on the desk was very sweet and had fantastic English but that's sort of where the good points end. We headed up to our floor and we started walking down this very garish corridor with big Orange doors that looked like painted prison doors, so we opened our bedroom door and I have never seen a room so Orange, every item of cheap furniture was painted Orange and then there were these awful green and blue curtains- not sure if I sound a bit unfair but I'm not used to staying in nice places and this was our first trip we wanted to only stay in 4* or above and have a chilled break in Fussen/Innsbruck but after coming to this from our 4* in Fussen it just didn't even compare. We couldn't stay in the room it gave us a headache, so we decided to go use the 'spa' we walked up the flight of stairs and was met by a dark corridor (we seemed to be the only people in the hotel and there were cots on every floor covered in blankets so we'd started getting a bit wussy thinking it was like the hotel in The Shining we kept expecting to see creepy twins at the end of the corridor) we went into the 'spa' and were expecting to see a receptionist or something but there was no one there and everything was turned off, even the water machine only produced hot water, we couldn't use the steam room or sauna as we couldn't find the on button- plus didn't want ourselves to be in charge of something like that in case we made it too hot- I don't know how it works! The only thing we could use was the weirdest contraption I've seen in a gym setting before- a mini horse riding machine, so apart from that providing a few minutes of hilarity as it was like being on a little bucking bronco we left the so called spa and decided to head back in to town. Quick note on the town also- nothing was open apart from a few restaurants- but we really struggled to find anywhere to eat as none smokers because smoking is permitted everywhere pretty much, and sitting in an enclosed space with no windows open as it was freezing did not fill me with joy when everyone in every place was lighting up every 2 minutes how anyone is meant to eat in those conditions, so unfortunately we ended up having to eat in the quietest place in Innsbruck, which isn't what you want on holiday really, you want atmosphere etc but never mind- may have to wait to visit Innsbruck again in 2018 when they bring in the no smoking law!

I booked 3 double rooms at this property for myself and some relatives for a 1 night stay. The property is located a short walk from both the main train station and bus terminal...even closer is the old town of Innsbruck which is truly beautiful! We all agreed the property was in a perfect location, clean and provided an excellent breakfast.
