We recently used the clarion for an event with nearly 300 attendees and everything went off without a single problem. The manager was very helpful in getting the microphone setup with their PA system and patient with us as we tested the audio levels and had her make several adjustments. I would highly recommend this location to others in the future.
This was my second stay there and I haven't been disappointed. Good customer service, very helpful front desk staff & very polite house keepers. Although the building is old and needs a little bit of renovation but the price is affordable and compliments the service provided.
We was just visiting from Indianapolis, we searched and found Clarion budget hotel and decided to stay there. its a nice hotel, staff is ready to help, specially breakfast was awesome. location is also good.
Good clean room very friendly staff nice breakfast and good for on and off traveling by i-70 east and i-465 and rates are very reasonable. Beautiful and large swimming pool I ever stayed in Indianapolis Area.
We booked this last minute because other hotels were taken. It looks rough from the outside and the inside isn't much better. They've made the lobby look nice, but that's about it. The eating area had a strange leak from the ceiling - the liquid draining down was yellowish. Unappetizing to say the least.
The owners are updating hotel, which is not finished yet. Rate is reasonable compared to other hotels near by. The swimming is huge and has laundry room attached. Renovation of fitness rooms is pending. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good for price and comes with room. Free parking.
Attended a family reunion dinner in one of the conference rooms here. This whole hotel needs updating still has the original decor from when it opened in the late 70s or early 80s. Even the grounds are unkept. It is only 6 miles to downtown Indy and is located right off of the expressway.
There is nothing I can say that is good about this hotel. Staff was unhelpful at every turn. I couldn't do my work because lack of wifi. I had about 13 channels to choose from to watch tv, the rest were fuzzy. The pool is under renovation. I was most frustrated with not being able to get wifi to work. I would have switched hotels, but my work had prepaid for the hotel. My work we suffered because of the wifi!!! Don't advertise that you have wifi and it doesn't work. They also advertise that they have a pool and they don't. I would really like to know how long the pool has been being renovated. Another complaint is that I could here the bar in my hotel room. It was very loud and annoying.
If you're just looking for a cheap bed to sleep in for a night this place is perfect. Only spent one night here but I would hate to spend another one. The place is just really run down and old and could be cleaner. I'm glad I wasn't in need of a shower because the bathroom was pretty grimy. Other than that the staff were very nice. If you're used to staying in nicer hotels this ones not for you.
There was some confusion with my reservation and our room got cancelled during a sold out weekend. The gentlemen at the front desk went above and beyond and were able to get us a room for the night. Hotel is older but clean. The pool is closed for renovations and the Damon's is no longer there but the free breakfast buffet was good. We did request a couple extra pillows and was told someone would bring them up but no one did. Wasn't that big of a deal.
