Crowne Plaza Indianapolis - Downtown Union Station

The proximity to the convention center and Lucas Oil Stadium is outstanding!

In town for Big Ten Championship. Hotel was great!

The location was excellent. We were able to walk to the mall and restaurants with ease.

Very clean, friendly hotel with some neat history. Short walking distance to all the attractions of downtown. Great value for the overall price.

Very unique hotel in the heart of downtown. Tough entrance to find if driving. Hotel was full of football fans and lots of partying going on. Rooms were overpriced because of the event, we had a handicapped room {no needed} and a good thing. Some light switches did not operate and others were too high for someone in a wheel chair, needs to be looked at. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Wife says they need a Starbucks. Breakfast was so so. Still we will come back for the Basketball tournament in March 2016.

Awesome room, great amenities but the history and ambiance just wows youu!

The hotel itself was great. Pretty cool with the train located within it. Wish we could have stayed in one of the train cars...but still cool to see. Wish we were notified of the trains that still run thru it, instead of being told when we checked in. Don't think it would have made a difference if we stayed there, but still would have been nice to know. The staff wasn't very nice. Maybe this local girl is used to a little more Aloha, but from when we checked in, to the bell desk and our luggage...they weren't very friendly or helpful. Room service (who delivered the food, not who took my order) was actually even friendlier and more attentive than the other staff. Disappointing. But the location was very convenient to the stadium...and that was the main reason for selecting this hotel.

We were in Indianapolis for only one night and we wanted to stay downtown instead of out near Butler where we'd stayed a few times. I'd stayed at the Crowne Plaza 7 or 8 years ago when my daughter and I were looking at colleges and my husband and I thought it'd be nice to stay there again. We opted for one of the train car rooms. The room was quite comfortable and impeccably clean. But the highlight of our stay would have to be the care we received from the staff. Every one we had contact with took care of us as if we were the only people staying there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

every thing worked well, room was as expected, staff was very helpful

Wasn't in the room long. But they were clean and the beds were comfortable!

This hotel has a great location within walking distance to almost everything you need for you stay. Rooms were very clean and service was great. Very thankful the front desk staff warned us about the close proximity to train tracks as were heard a train that night. It was not loud but good to have the warning that it might happen. If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you.

Located in the DT entertainment district plenty of dining/nightlife options why not stay someplace unusual?

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly, well worth the star rating. If you have kids, be sure to pay for the train room. It is narrow but still enough room.

Great time with family/business. The buffet was closed for some reason which made breakfast more expensive.

Very cool hotel-- clean, historic and located in the heart of Indy. Rooms are available on the inside of a train and are surprisingly modern and luxurious! The hotel itself holds a lot of historic value and it's a great place to walk around and look at the statues. There is even a train that still runs through the hotel as it serves as the train station for indianapolis. Setback was the service. Long waits in line and not accommodating when I lost my is and called to ask if they found it.

The hotel is in the refurbished Union Train Station. It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is located right downtown about a block or two from the restaurant and club scene. Very Nice!

Excellent Staff, always helpful, they even helped get a good deal on the Taxi Ride back to the Airport.

The historic aspect and location of this hotel are fantastic! We chose the hotel for these aspects, but in terms of price and compareble to other hotel chains it was a bit lacking. Did not include breakfast, sheets are crunchy, walls are thin, and the disposable cups in our room had a hole in them. The room was clean which is a huge requirement, but was disappointed it didn't have any additional perks.

The staff was very friendly and the room was one of the cleanest I have stayed in. We stayed in one of the renovated train cars (per another review, I requested one in the front) so I did not have any problem with passing train noise in the middle of the night. The breakfast bar was OK, nothing great but we did not have to leave the hotel to eat. The only bad thing was the view from our train car, stacks of tables and chairs (they could put up screens or paint a mural on the wall). If you want a very clean, nice room close to Lucas Oil Stadium then pick the Crowne Plaza.

At 3 and 5 am we were woke by loud noise that lasted around 1 minute. We were very disappointed and will never stay again. Rooms are small.
