Has some issues, but the more important ones should be quick fixes and may already be taken care of...we might have just been there on an off weekend when everything broke down. You can tell this hotel's glory days are behind it, but it wouldn't be very difficult to get back to that with a facelift. THE GOOD: Great view of the river and city center from the balcony, very spacious room with comfortable couch and beds (though they were full size advertised as queens), nice hot tub, decent breakfast with plenty of options, quick friendly and helpful service all around. THE BAD: We did not have hot water in either shower or sink and had to take a cold shower. Carpets and couch were stained, and couch had a large unrepaired rip. Sliding door to balcony was extremely difficult to move when opening or closing. Carpet in lobby was very stained due to being used as the breakfast dining room. One of the two elevators was out of order, as well as the treadmill and sauna in the fitness room. The pool is not immediately easy to find without asking directions first (it's across the parking lot between the buildings that make up the Rodeway motel part of the hotel), the gate locks to the pool did not work with key cards and you had to reach over the gate and open it by hand, the pool itself was quite dirty (looked like it hadn't been skimmed all day), and the railing on one of the steps into the pool was wobbly and so loose I could pick it up out of the post holes! It was not saf
Always convenient, pleasurable staff, and a beautifull view!
I like that every room had a balcony
Loved the location, a block off main road thru town, close to the “Falls”, large clean room. Front staff was very polite and friendly. Only 1 negative point is our room might need a fresh coat of paint and carpet soon. But all was very clean.
They charged me a 150.00 for a smoking fee that was not mine, there are cigarette butts all around the building
Rooms were big
It was a friendly environment. Rooms/ balcony were not very clean. Needs updated.
The view of the Snake River from our 8th floor balcony
Great staff, nice and comfortable beds. The carpet look a little bit older.
Checking is easy .front desk person is very friendly and pleasant and helpful
The elevator is sketchy especially the higher up you go. The laundry facility was in poor condition. The room was specious and right across from Idaho Falls with a nice walking path.
The room is amazing and so is the view. So clean and room is so big.
The staff in this case specifically Cindy was not willing to help. I called (the hotel)in the morning to verify that there would be no hiccup with checking in due to a special request and they verified everything. When it was time to check in Cindy refused to help and told me to call orbitz cuz she couldn't do anything and refused to help. Then she turns around and starts laughing with her co-workers. CINDY made check in really difficult if i had to stay another night in Idaho falls i would never again stay at the Quality inn by the river that was the worst experiences ever.
Rates are not worth paying for such outdated property. The only thing it sells, is the river view and that’s about it.
The rooms are very large. The walk out deck is a nice plus with good views, depending on which side you get. The staff was all very friendly and helped solve several personal challenges. The rooms were clean. The hotel is dated. Most everything about the hotel could use a freshening. It is clean, but dated. The doors in the rooms do not shut quietly on their own so you will hear your neighbors often. The breakfast had good choices of carbs but zero protein options. Parking is plentiful and the hotel is across the street from the river walk, which is very pleasant.
It was round n by river. The laundry room was filthy dirty n the washer left my clothes dripping wet. Dryer hose was linked n took forever til I stretched the vent pipe. I told the person at the front desk. The halls hadn’t been vac’d in a while, the outside cement is falling apart, parking lot needs redone, elevator needs cleaning including the walls, well... I’ll stop there.
If we had known that the elevators were under repair we would not have used this facility. We are senior citizens and the climb to our room was stressful.
