This reservation was booked in error at 5:25 p.m. while we were travelling. We intended to book in Twin Falls (20 minutes away), not Idaho Falls—over 2.5 hours away. It was dark, we were on the road, and the mistake was realized within 20 minutes. We immediately contacted both the hotel and Expedia to cancel. Despite the room never being occupied and the hotel incurring no loss, a refund was refused. A reasonable cancellation fee would have been understandable. Charging the full amount for an honest, promptly corrected error feels unnecessary and unethical. At a minimum, we expect a company of this size to show fairness, discretion, and good faith when a mistake is identified quickly and causes no harm. We ultimately booked and stayed with the same hotel chain in Twin Falls.

The pull out sofa bed had crumpled up bedding piled in it when we opened it and it was unclear if the bedding was clean or not. There was bag with extra sheets, pillowcases, and a blanket in the closet so I opened the bag and found a fitted sheet that looked clean. After I made the bed for my daughter I picked up the rest of the bedding to find a huge blood stain on one of the pillowcases. It was shocking and disgusting. My daughter didn’t want sleep in the bed. If we hadn’t arrived exhausted at 9:30pm I would have left and gone to another hotel. I showed a picture to the attendant at checkout and he apologized and said he would let his manager know. We have heard nothing from the hotel.

Beautiful new hotel confortable beds great service and location just abit outside of downtown. The area is a bit noisy in the morning though. Gotel has a full service restaurant with bar. If you plan to eat breafast pay for the voucher through Expedia it will save you except for the tip.you can also buy the dinner+ breakfast voucher but considering the price the breakfast is the best deal and good food. The reataurant sell up scale Burgers that are a bit more than your average pub burger.

It would have been nice to be informed at check in that kids can eat free in the restaurant. We ate there after seeing the menu state that kids eat free (in BOLD on the menu, a couple of stipulations but nothing about a voucher), our server also knew we were staying in the hotel. We were charged and rushed right out of the empty restaurant. Couldn’t bother to just check with us? I’m sure most of your clientele are guests at the hotel. And then coming back up to the room with literally nothing helpfully stocked in the suite kitchen. At bare minimum you would think a couple of plates or utensils? Front desk didn’t care. It didn’t seem like anyone really cared about their job in our experience with the staff. Just a sad experience.
