This is the worst hotel we have ever Bern through. You can't go inside the rooms without seeing a mouse, spiders and cats. We are 16 girls and everyone is dehydrated because of the non air condotion. It is mug inside every rooms and touches of ugly things on the blanket on top of the floor. You can't stay here!
Please do not stay here, never have I stayed in something so dingy and disgusting, in the peak of summer there is no air con only tiny little fan provided so your room will feel like a sauna anytime you go in there and sleep will be non existent. The rooms are so worn, old and there is stains on the carpet and broken furniture everywhere! The photos of our room did not match the room we were given. I overheard some girls telling the lady at the reception that they could not stay there because they found a mouse in their room, so they had to find somewhere else and was trying to get their money back but the lady did not even care. Honestly I would of rather stayed at a dingy hostel for so much cheaper than spending a lot more at this “hotel” that hasn’t seen any updates since the 80’s Not even worth a 1 star
I do not recommend Delfin Hotel. No air con in our room in the middle of summer which is unacceptable. When we asked for a fan they said they had to check if they had any available which they should’ve had on hand considering how warm the rooms are. We were sweating in the room, had to go to the beach to nap in the afternoon because our room was unbearable. Barely got a wink of sleep the two nights due to how hot the room was. Carpet was atrocious, no hot water in the bathroom and the flush in our toilet didn’t work. Only good thing was the location and view of the water from balcony (which we didn’t have). Also couldn’t have the windows open for air due to the amount of mosquitoes surrounding.
Absolutely terrible ! Do not stay here. We have just returned from a trip to Croatia and we stayed 2 nights in Hvar. The city is beautiful, but this hotel certainly ruined our stay. It was very hot - no aircon - a fan that made a loud noise, and the carpet in the room was stained. The shower leaked. This hotel is only good for young guys who are back packing. They need to knock it down and start again. On the upside the staff were very friendly and always apologising for no air-con.
Do not stay here, not only were the rooms not as represented but my credit card was charged after the fact. Delayed checkin, room was old and not very clean. Very hot weather and there was a rusty old fan that made a loud noise
Look, I know it's a 2-star hotel and you get what you pay for, but I also wasn't expecting to get to Hvar and find myself back in the dingy Super 8 off the I-75 outside Cincinnati. The worst part of Hvar was staying at Delfin. Positives: the lobby is nice, location good (especially when it's time to stumble home after a night in Hvar), and the breakfast wasn't bad (nice fruit juices). The rooms themselves were awful. Our room had a large yellow stain on the carpet (vomit?) that looked like it had been there for some time. The bathroom was disgusting, particularly the bathtub/shower. The shower head kept falling off, then exploded with hot water, at which point I got out of the grimy tub and called it a day. There is an elevator, but it was very tiny and old with a strange outer door that you had to manually open and close - hard to navigate with luggage. At night it was a sweatbox. But on the plus side, the plugs worked and I got my night's sleep before eating watery scrambled eggs? Hvar is wonderful - this hotel was most certainly not. Don't stay here unless they clean up the mess. You can get far better and cleaner rooms on this island for the same money.
Good, although slightly tatty hotel, staff helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice, don't bother with lunchtime burgers, these were very poor. The view from the open air dining area is amazing. Rooms have a fan but no A/C so could be uncomfortable in peak season (we went in early July).
I hope the owners care and read this. The carpets in the whole hotel, esp. our room were gross. Prob. Have not been changed in at least 20 years. Our room did not have AC. Only a little desk fan from Ikea. Pathetic!!!! How will this hotel attract high end guests?? A huge embarrassment to Hvar and Croatia!!!
Came on a budget holiday to Croatia with my best friend to explore the different islands. We booked hotel delfin on the day after staying in a dodgey hostel nearby. Hotel delfin was also the same price as the hostel. Was apprehensive to stay there after reading some of the negative reviews. But we were pleasantly surprised. We had a sea view room and although the rooms are nothing special, they have what you need, a bed a shower and a nice balcony. it is just a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. It is as central as you can get. We got breakfast included. Again nothing special, just standard cereal, fruit, coffee and teas. I don’t understand why people Would complain as it is exactly what a 2 star hotel would be expected to be like. The room was very hot but if you’re not planning on spending too much time in there anyway it is really not a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful, overall we had a good time there! I would recommend.
We watched the World Cup games in this hotel bar, as they have some TVs. In my opinion, it’s one of the best places for it in Hvar. However, it’s a little bit expensive. On the other hand, the service and staff were good.
