The hotel is located in a relitively quiet street away from the noise in the main street. Our bus arrived early and they were to give us our room early. Rooms were serviced every day and the breakfast had really good options. In our first day we were sick due to the altitude and the owners did not hesitate to look after us, checking on us all the time and bringing "mate de coca" .... I would definitely recommend this hostel
+Solid breakfast. More than bread and jam! + Location is a short walk from center. Felt safe in neighborhood even arriving from very early bus. + Allowed us to check in early and leave our backpacks when we checked out for a few hours + Tours were all reasonably priced but clarify if you need an English speaking guide since most are Spanish speaking. + clean and well - priced for everything included! We had a private room with private bathroom and a small TV. - There were many teenagers staying when we were there so maybe that impacted noise and isn't the norm, but they quieted down by 10. *Staff is mostly Spanish -speaking so keep that in mind. Overall, highly recommend!
A friend and I stayed here for about 6 days for our stay in Huaraz. The room was clean and they tidied up everyday. The location is a 5 minute walk outside of the main part of town but we didn't mind. The staff were super friendly and caring. I came down with a stomach bug and they were very helpful and legitimately concerned whenever they saw me. The breakfast was great as they gave us a few different options every morning to choose from. The views from the upstairs breakfast area were great! The wifi was typically good but went out occasionally. The shower also had hot water most of the time but there were a few instances where is wasn't working. I don't think either of these are that big of a deal though seeing as this is pretty common in South America. Overall, a great hostel in Huaraz.
We stayed here for a week to do some day hikes and relax in between. My boyfriend needed a dentist while we were here and Lis recommended somewhere really good. We also had a problem with a phone shop as we took a phone to be repaired and they sent it to Lima without telling us. Lis came down and helped translate for us. She was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hostel has a great breakfast, great tours and nice rooms. Highly recommended.
Hostel is comfortable, free breakfast, warm showers and they sorted our glacier and lake 69 trip. They also do a laundry service and have a book exchange. Close to town too. English speaking and secure with a buzzer to get in. Little louder on weekends but still good.
A superbe place in Huaraz. Located just 20 minutes on foot from the main plaza there are little shops an inexpensive restaurants nearby (safe area). All rooms are clean. Bed is comfy. Towels are changed daily. Hot water and good water-pressure in the shower. There are many bathrooms in the house. You get to chose from 5 different breakfasts-options (included) on a roof-top (in- or outside) with stunning views of the town and mountains.. Wifi is super fast and stable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Tours for reasonable prices offered. Security with keys is ok. And all that for a cheap price. Perfect!
Arrived at 5am, no problem giving us our room for some much needed sleep. Happily organised our tour to Laguna 69, which was well organised, and very enjoyable. Only cost 40 sol including breakfast. The lovely host also kept our bags safe for the day and let us shower in the hostel after the trek for a little charge. Fantastic. Room was clean and spacious, water was hot.
This hostel is run by family and some of them are actually living there, so you will feel like you are staying in someone else's home. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but I quite enjoyed it. The people were great. They were available round the clock. The hostel is basic so don't expect too much. However, the rooms are clean and everything works including the free wi-fi. The breakfast room has terrace and great view of the mountains in the area. The location might not be the best but I chose the hotel since it's close to Movil Tours bus station. It's only 10-15 minute walk to the town center so it's not a big deal. Overall, I would recommend it especially if what you need is only a place to crash.
We had four friends and so we got a four-person room. Clean with hot shower (mostly). Rooftop breakfast and friendly staff. Lady at front desk allowed us to store luggage during Santa Cruz trek and return to shower (for small fee) before our bus ride back to Lima. Off the main drag but a great place.
a great place to stay very helpful staff. 10 min walk to centre of town , balcony to view mountains, excellent breakfast included kettle to make tea. Clean hot water no problem , book you tours. Or get tourist info. TV to watch football
