Good location in Cha-am beach area but very old, kind of inadequate maintenance. I would say most of the guest are group tour from Asia plus some local people Thai). But if you wan na save your bucks to spent at something else this one would suite you perfectly.
The location of the hotel is great. The hotel is a bit run down. The rooms, especially the beds, need improvement. The breakfast is below average. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, it is an 'ok' place for you to spend the night.
Breakfast wasn't good, not fresh and there were mostly Thai food available. Not sure if it was because of the incentive group booked that period or it is normal. The room is old and smell weird (smell old). I felt not so much comfortable because of the old interior design inside of the room, it was like staying in the room of stranger's grandmother.
This hotel is an awesome place and facilities. The room are so comfortable and very clean. I was there for camp with our school. The staff are so friendly and they are very assisting us while we staying there for 2 nights. They have a hall for programs activities. This place very closer to the beach and wow so very relaxing place to stay in Cha am. Very nice and the food are so good.
Attended the 3-Nation Charity Bike Ride event which was being held in Regent Hotel Chaam next door from 2-3 September 2016. The Beach Garden Hotel room was clean but the bathroom looked run down. The Beach bar which serves meals and drinks was great with attentive waiter.
Hotel is really old. Room should be renovated asap. The bed is suck. All three of us got a back pain after two nights stay in this hotel. Breakfast is somewhat below par compared to other hotel in Thailand. Breakfast room is also very hot, looks like the room is too big for the air cond they installed. The only good thing is the private beach. There is no wifi signal in my room. My advice is to avoid this hotel and pay a little more to book other hotel in this area such as The regent cha am where there's a private beach and all the facilities are much better.
My girlfriend and I have checked in at this hotel. We had booked via internet Agoda agency .This hotel is a little bit old but they have a private beach. We walked and take a fresh air in the morning and evening time. No crowded that the reason i like this hotel. We booked this hotel with a promotion including breakfast. We have a warm welcome more than expecting.
We booked 3 nights here . Cha Am is not a very interesting place. This hotel had a good helpfull staff , food was oke but not cheap , and a Nice surrounding . Beatifull gardens nice beach . The rooms where clean but its all really old , i mean worn out old 1980 . Is they did a facelift of everything it would be so much better . Beside the old rooms we had a good stay , and Again , the staff there is plenty and very kind ! Good swimmingpool also ! And just around the corner on the beach you have a nice sailclub with a good kitchen !
Stayed for a fortnight here. Western tourists were in the absolute minority. While we were there there was only a small group of older German people and a group of Scandinavians, including very young children. Never saw the German people eating any breakfast and the Scandinavians left after one breakfast. Breakfast was served overlooking the beach, with beautiful views, but hygiene standards weren’t that great, with butter sitting out in the sun and going rancid. Breakfast certainly wasn’t targeted for Western tourists. The staff were really friendly. The dishes were changed every day and were actually quite tasty, but again sitting in the sun which could be off-putting for many people. Local food in the actual restaurant was very nice, but alcoholic drink prices were extortionate. However, there was a little mini market owned by the hotel where drink was extremely reasonable. Rooms weren’t huge (we had a deluxe seaview) but were clean and bed comfortable. The hotel grounds were very peaceful and the pool lovely and clean and nearly always empty. The hotel doesn’t really want to cater for Western tourists, as its core business is its conference business. Every few days large coachloads of Thais, sometimes groups of young 20 year olds, would arrive for conferences or works outings and have a beach party. They always seemed to enjoy themselves, with various odd team-building games. Never any sign of trouble, though and their entertainment seemed to finish quite early, so no problem sleeping. Great location on the beach, and you could walk along to the Cha Am Little Shop – one of our favourite lunch venues over the last few years or further along towards the Springfield Hotel. The beach isn’t great for swimming – too strong a tide but so deserted. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, but doubt we’ll be back. Even through booking websites the quality of the room and hotel itself do not justify the high price when compared with hotels such as the Novotel. We’ve already booked for next year but changed venue.
This is an older, but still nice resort directly on the beach - breakfast 30m from the water :) Rooms where comfortable and well serviced. Swimming pool looked after and variety of dining settings. Conference facility right across the road provided ability to rest in between or pop over quickly for the last minute preparation.
