it was a one day stay but it was great. the staff was really friendly and the hotel was really clean.
PROs: The hotel has recently been updated with fresh counters on the vanity. The outside is freshly painted. My room was clean. You can buy bottled water in the lobby. There is a 24-hour Denny's at the end of the block. The Hibachi Grill, next door to the motel, is surprisingly good. It's a buffet with a huge selection, not just Asian food. There's pizza, fish, shrimp, dessert, salad, and wings in addition to a big selection of Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese food. There is plenty of hot water. The room was reasonably quiet. The radio in the room worked. The window air conditioning unit worked well. * * * * * * CONs: The hot breakfast means waffles. It's a carb-heavy breakfast, not for diabetics. Sheets are very thin. Towels are thin, rough, and small. The toilet handle was broken and repaired with a plastic glue-on fix. My room was painted a medium blue, way too dark for several walls. The other walls were painted white, but the overall room was dark. The window needs to have the blinds drawn for privacy, so the lights had to be on when I was in the room. Fluorescent lights created a harsh light that took several minutes to build up. A bulb was missing over the work table. The headboard had someone's initials carved into it. The vanity sink's faucet leaked at the point where it connected to the countertop, so I had to put a towel around the faucet to avoid making a puddle of water that would have soaked into my makeup bag. The water seems to be pumped, so it pulses when the shower is on. No place to put soap or shampoo in the shower, no handholds. The neighborhood is kind of rough--body shops, gas stations, background security check places, check-cashing place, urgent care, run-down strip mall. You will never find a cab if you don't have a car. Never. The front desk has a security window, like a pawn shop. The manager on call did not speak English very well. I had trouble getting my questions answered. He was very polite, however.
Clean, comfortable and everything worked (AC, refrigerator, microwave etc). The hot water pressure pulsed during use but I never ran out.
Very clean, friendly staff, convenient location for me.
First, the front desk needs a hospitality training. The rooms needs more windows. My room was filthy. The bed has human hair (a sign that the bed sheet was not change). The bathtub has some molds and no warm water for shower.
Staff members are ghost- just good to give room keys and play in their computer and i-phones. Pool was extremelly dirty. Expensive for service rendered.
Too expensive for the place and the staff sucked. Would never stay here again.
I had a wonderful time while I was Houston, but Ido not think that I would stay @ this Super 8 again the room was nice don't get me wrong but eveything seemed to dated they need some upgrages badly, the service there wasn't really all that friendly when I arrived & also when I departed but all in all that was MY experience.
Based on sheer dollar value you can't beat it. - Clean, WiFi, convenient location to Highways 290, 610 and Sam Houston Tollway.
Basics are there, room was spacious, cooling unit was weak, but probably just that room. Starbucks is nearby, as are other fast-food eateries.
The room was bid and had plenty of space. The staff was nice and informative. I didn't make it down for the continental breakfast but the lobby and eating area was very nice. I think that its a great deal.
The Hotel room was large with living space and a king size bed with fridge.
Need improving on their continent breakfast, very cheap. Clean rooms, tiolet rim needs repair, no iron, very dim, needs more lamps or stronger watts. Glooming room. Good place for in and out travel. Lots of places to eat. Away from traffic noise.
It's a nice, clean, well-maintained, small motel that is conveniently located in the NW quadrant of the Houston metroplex. The room was quiet, clean, and well-furnished. It had free internet service. It also had a small refrigerator and a small microwave. The free breakfast left a lot to be desired - it was just cereals or breads or other "junk" carbs - no real protein to speak of.....but you can go right down the street to the Sonic and get a good breakfast there. I will stay here again when I need to travel to Houston on business. It suits my needs perfectly.
I stayed here for two nights. The room is clean and the price is really cheap. The hotel is near the highway and the traffic is convenient.
Easy to find and easy access to and from freeway. Modest dining nearby. Reasonably quiet. Located near where I needed to be. Reasonable price.
I like the room, lot of space in the room with sufficient natural light from the window. My stay was comfortable though the location is not great, important thing is stuffs are really good.
Nothing outstanding to report good nor bad. Great value for the price.
it was okay, average in every way, just what you would expect
Good for the price. Clean. Staff friendly. Limited parking.
