We were stuck in Houston after a major storm and a lay minute flight cancelation . Booked this place very last minute as there was almost nothing vacant . We arrived to a check in process with a gentlemen who was entertains his 2 year daughter and has very limited command of the English language . Simple check in took a very long time. Rooms are basically located on the highway with little or no blocking of the noise . If I was paying $39 I may not have been frustrated . However I did get a "free jacuzzi" perhaps indicating the nature of the typical nighttime activities at this establishment . Bottom line - even when stuck in Houston after being stuck in airplanes in Tarmac and in terminal for 14 hours - look for somewhere else
The staff was respectful and very helpful. Room was large and comfortable. Everybody there keeps to themself and minds there own business. Housekeeping wont harass you if u put "do not disturb" sign on door. Reasonable rates for extended stay.
I do NOT recommend this hotel and you could not pay me to stay there in the future. They overcharged me for two nights when I cancelled in person before charges should occur and they still would not reimburse me fully. They could not print a receipt, there is no pool or laundry facility. Negative experinece for our team that qualified for the National USATF Junior Olympic track meet in Humble, TX!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel one night and we had numerous bug bites. We took videos of the bugs.Next day we went to the hospital and we were given two different kinds of cream. Our bodies developed small bumps and they are very inchy.
I have stayed here several times and simply have not had a bad experience. It's close to the airport, the rooms are huge and comfortable. Most have extended stay options like real fridges and real work areas. The staff has always been helpful and it's close to lots of great places to eat.
I enjoyed my stay at the Regency Suites. The hotel is clean and everything works . The people are very nice, helpful and pleasant. They offer continental breakfast in the morning lobby. They have DVD player in room for your own dvd's. The hotel is modern and the rooms are a nice size. I felt safe and comfortable here. This is 7 miles from the Houston Bush Airport. Some of the bad reviews here must be old and the place is now under new management.
I'm honestly shocked to read so many negative reviews of this place. i feel like a lot of them are quite old and maybe the place is under new management, or have taken a cue from the previous negative reviews and straightened out. We (business associates and myself) checked in here yesterday (we have 4 rooms) and we all love it! All the rooms are clean and well maintained. The front desk staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Yes they're behind bulletproof glass, I can't say I blame them. From what I understand this place is located in a pretty bad area, but that's not their fault!! Also I have been in the room all day and have seen the cleaning ladies around all day, since about 9 a.m., they have checked on the rooms at least twice. The beds are SUPER comfortable, rooms all have huge flat-screen tv's and radios (no alarm clock but who uses those anymore anyway?), desks, coffee tables and bureaus/nightstands all have heavy granite tops. Rooms are painted in fun, bright tropical colors. The couch is comfy to sit and watch tv. There is definitely porn readily available on the tv so families, keep an eye out for that (channel 80). Otherwise I'm thrilled to be staying here for the week and hope to be able to stay here when we come back to Houston again!
Stayed in this hotel on a one night stop over, The BAD : 1, Taxi driver got lost and asked for 35 dollars for 2.5 mile ride? 2, when we did finally get there we were met with three squad cars, lights blazing guns drawn and a gentleman being cuffed for soliciting a young lady aledgedly 3, There's bugger all there apart from a garage and a greasy chicken joint which one of the locals sugested we avoid..... 4, Rooms reminiscent of CSI The GOOD: 1, Very helpful, even helped us order pizza and fries, always cheerful. 2, Rooms were very clean, beds very comfy 3, Dont let your kids get the remote, theres 24hr porn on chanel 3 !! Summary: If your a Hit man or mechanic who likes a clean room and a good nights sleep with friendly staff to talk to......ideal. other than that, check into the marriott.
Rooms are very large and clean enough and suitable probably for an onward driving stop. Advertised at Houston airport but will cost you $20 in taxi to get there, no restaurants nearby just a garage and fast food place across road but looks like have a lot of trouble there, by amount of staff wtaching everyone entering, so quite a rough area. Reception ran from behind glass obviously confirming not a very good area. Ran by unhelpful Indian staff. Would not recommend staying here if have an overnight stop at Houston airport, get a hotel which provides free shuttle close by will be cheaper. There was another Regency suites at airport boulevard, now called days in, I suspect this place took the name to gain a lot of airport custom, but will not get any repeat business.
We were looking for a hotel to take the kids to the Avatar movie. We checked on line and found the Regency suits bush airport hotel. Pictures look nice and price was nice, should have sent up a RED FLAG. Booked the hotel using booking.com online, which they are great and tried to help a great deal to get this all settled. We arrive at the hotel talk to the attendant, behind the bullet proof glass, ANOTHER RED FLAG, checked in and we went to our room. That is where we found urine on the floor of the bathroom, Sheets look like someone had slept on them. Stains on the coutch and on the floor. We didnt even unpack the van. Went streight to the counter for a refund. Was told that the mananger was not going to be in till Monday. Contacted Booking on line and explained the situation. Found another hotel (Holiday Inn Suites) now that a GREAT hotel. Booking.com and I tried to contact Regency several times before receiving a explanation from Mr Shehal (Sam) Patel stating that "we never came to the front desk to complain" and I told them that "I booked the hotel on the wrong area". So not did they only lie, but also refused to refund any money. So if you are looking for a room to rent for a few hours, this place is for you. Other then that, you wouldn't want to stay there.
