Pros:The apartment looked just like the photos, it was cute, and the bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated that the owner was willing to work with me when I needed to cancel one of the days.Cons:The listing clearly states check-in at 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM. However, on the morning of our arrival, we received a message saying the apartment would be ready sometime between 4–6 PM. We’d planned our entire travel day around a 4 PM check-in, so we could change clothes/freshen up and head to the convention center by 5. Because the unit was not ready at 4 as advertised, we had to change our clothes in our car.A similar issue happened at check-out. At 8 AM on departure day, we received a message asking us to leave by 10 AM instead of the advertised 11 AM. The inconsistent timing created unnecessary stress and inconvenience for us.There was only one towel per guest provided for the entire stay. The towels were very small and extremely rough. I’m not even sure where you find towels that rough. The sheets and blanket were low quality as well.The check-in instructions also stated that the thermostat could not be set below 70F or the unit would freeze. As a result, the apartment was uncomfortably warm at night. We ran the fan at full speed to compensate, but it was quite loud and rattled throughout the night.All of these issues seem easily correctable if the host is willing to address them. It would significantly improve the overall guest experience.
