It was a beautiful hotel room in a nice location. Didn't expect it to be this good based on the reviews but it was great. Spacious room too.

I am sorry that much of the hotels former life is gone--that is, the hotel interior, the rooms, are so generic. The decor is cookie cutter, color choices bland, like a designers first tentative job. I could be anywhere. Your staff is fabulous--the overseas interns are a breath of enthusiasm and kindness. But without them the hotel is just a cold hotel

Quick stay, decent downtown location. Being right by the metro train, seemed to be a collection of transients right outside the hotel. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

It was a great value for the location but it was under construction so it was loud

Hotel staff was courteous and quick. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great stay while I was there on business downtown.

The location is great. The room is great. Very very clean. Over all great stay.

Well when we arrived we were greeted by Houston in valet , very nice gentlemen but they all were great but his name is the one that stuck out ( by the way valet is the only parking options @ $30 a day). We were able to check in with no problems. When we got to our room it was clean, but we had a horrible view which was ok cause I didn't come to look out the window anyway. The only problems I had was the expensive parking $30 dollars a day plus tipping every time we got in and out added up, also I wish they would have had a concierge because even though we had family in Houston, we were clueless on the nightlife. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely do it again! !

Location of hotel was great for where we went. Walking distance to many restaurants and discovery park. There was construction happening so it was really noisy on some days. My room was next to a linen closet which was extremely noisy. Hotel staff was vey gracious n gave me a one night credit on my overnight parking. $28 so I was happy. Clean rooms. Very friendly staff.

The hotel has a bistro with great food and service. There is also a full Starbucks. The staff is courteous and helpful. They need a sundry shop, especially since it is dangerous to walk around at night, and there are no grocery stores or convenient stores nearby. The room overall was clean, but the carpet was stained and look dirty, a big turn off. The blackout drapes/curtains did not open all the way and were hard to slide. They have newspapers in the lobby; they are not delivered to your room. There is no hair dryer as described in the website. They offer a free shuttle within downtown, very convenient. For their room prices, I expected more.

A great experience at the Marriott. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for the nighttime activities.

everything was great!! the staff was awesome--very helpful and keeping bags till check in and even after checkout while I finished up the conference. great location (construction across street though for building being torn down). the only bad thing was the ice machine on 7th floor was broke--sign said to go to 6th or 8th--went to 6th and machine was broke---finally went up to 8th and got ice. that was a little inconvenient in pjs at night. otherwise everything else was FANTASTIC!!!

Was close enough to the venue that I was able to walk there both days. Room was decent enough. Having to pay for parking was not ideal.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The price and location was impressive. I needed to go to George R Brown Convention center. Room was really clean. Starbucks in lobby but was not included in the room charge. Only bad thing I see is the valet parking price (25$+tax/night) when there is 5-6 different parkings 15$ maximum between hotel and convention center.

nice room very comfortable, we stayed for 5 days, after the 2nd day housekeeping did less and less. On the last night we came back to the room after all doy in conferences and the room had not been touched. Other than housekeeping the rest of the staff , front desk, valets and shuttle driver are A+

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Houston. Excellent breakfast, and well worth the breakfast included rate. The free wifi was easy to connect and consistent. I would certainly stay here again.

From the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed by staff. Rooms were large and clean. The front desk agents were always positive and went out of their way to assit us and meet any request. The valets were very helpful also and the hotel had a van available to drive us to nearby stores and restaurants as a free service. The only negative was the football game with the Houston Texans!!

The Courtyard was an easy 2 blocks away from the office. The staff was courteous, the room spacious and clean and the service was execellent. All the conveniences and none of the hassles usually associated with last minute travel.

We had a great time, everything was perfect! we would def go back again

First the valet was not staffed. They actually told us they had no one to work so we had to park 3 blocks away and walk to the location. The room was small and the AC did not work properly. Bed was uncomfortable. The amenities listed "in room movies" - not only were there no movies to rent - the HBO did not work - kept cutting in and out. THEN we ordered room service. 40 dollars for 2 sandwiches and a quesadilla. All were cooked in a microwave. Bread was hard, tortillas mushy in the middle and hard around the eaches from over microwaving. HORRIBLE. We were just looking to get away 1 night and enjoy a night alone - watching movies, eating etc. Spent 200 dollars and it was the worst experience ever. Should stayed at the motel 6 for the service and comfort we received.

Had a magical night at the Houston Ballet and stayed at this Marriot, BUT upon checking out of the hotel my wife left her diamond earrings by the sink. Although we had lengthy disscussions with staff and management numerous times, the earrings were never returned. Makes me sick to know this hotel and its staff are not looking out for its customers. SO...You do a thorough job of cleaning rooms between customers but you don't find a pair of earrings by the sink that both me and my wife saw while brushing our teeth that morning??? Somebody is lying to spare staff while the customer receives the run-around. Although we figured being a longtime Marriots Rewards participant we would receive better service...we did not and now someone else is sporting my wife's earrings. We will start staying elsewhere for our next outing into the city, ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!
