Villa Rising Sun has achieved the Tourism Health & Safety Gold Standard certification from the Belize Tourism Board and Ministry of Health by implementing procedures to assure new health and safety standards.

Your dock with over-the-water hammock, swings, and seating is perfect for soaking up the sun, sun sets, fishing, manatee sightings, or cocktails.

Your 3 bedroom, two bath rental is beach level and boasts a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and a huge great room area for entertaining or relaxing. The great room also has a comfortable pullout queen size bed. It is equipped with everything you need for your vacation. Regular beach raking and housekeeping assure you can relax and enjoy your stay. We can even arrange a private cook to prepare your arrival dinner and serve you at your beach bar.

The Great Room has a huge mahogany dining room table, two tables for desk or board games, two comfy sofas and chairs for relaxing after a hard day at the beach or exploring. A large smart TV with IPTV with over 8000 channels includes many of your favorites from The States, Canada, and Mexico for all your favorite shows and sporting events. Netflix and other logins are provided as well for additional entertainment.

Open the door and step onto the beach. The property is landscaped with indigenous flora and fauna.

Enjoy your own private thatched beach bar with everything you need to have a great time and is a great spot out of the sun. With seating for fourteen, it’s a perfect place to party or enjoy your meals on the beach. Your private bar features a refrigerator/freezer, sink with filtered water, a fully functional bar. Nice speakers and a blue-tooth amp as well as an IPTV provide entertainment for the entire family.

We just got home from 8 wonderful days at Villa Rising Sun. Such outstanding hospitality! The house is very comfortable and more than enough room for just 2 of us. Comfy beds & a well equipped kitchen. You step out right onto the beach and just a few steps from the water. With a private beach bar and dock that goes out into the ocean, it feels very personal and private. Watching the fish swim at night off the end of the dock was a real treat. We were offered personal service every step of the way. We were unfortunate to have a day delay in our arrival because of canceled flights and they arranged to have dinner waiting for us since we arrived late in the evening. They arranged for several outstanding day adventures (Get To Know Belize Adventures...highly recommend). It felt like we were staying with friends! Hopkins is a fun small village with some of the friendliest people I've seen anywhere. We hope to return.

Perfect home set on the perfect beach. Hosts were super helpful and there when you needed them, otherwise it was very private. The private beach bar is key for hanging out (why would you ever want to be inside in Belize?) and the dedicated dock is wonderful for morning coffee and taking in the beautiful Caribbean. Beds were comfortable and the house has everything you need. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here, 10 stars! Thank you to Dean, Mark, Sabrina and the Get To Know Belize Crew, we had a memorable and fantastic time!!!

Mark, Sabrina and Dean were amazing hosts. They work together well to ensure you are well taken care of. They really know how to make you feel welcome. They stayed up late to greet us, woke up early to say good bye. We received great recommendations from them all. We loved our stay. Watching the fish and manatees at night from the pier was such a highlight and not to mention the incredible bar and fresh coconut water from the coconuts.

SLICE OF PARADISE.This was an absolutely perfect stay at Villa Rising Sun. Mark and Sabrina are great hosts and a big shout out to Dean for his expert concierge services. All three of them would check in from time to time to make sure that we had everything we needed. The house is large, comfortable and very clean. The private tiki bar with a sound system was a great place to hang out. We loved being right on the beach and spent a lot of time in the gorgeous water. In the evening, it was fun to watch the fish from the edge of the dock. Shelly cooked an amazing lobster tail dinner, and we also had massages at the house, which both were highlights of the trip. The location of the house is perfect. It is close to so many good restaurants. Hopkins is a special place. I am looking forward to returning to Villa Rising Sun.

I highly recommend Villa Rising Sun. Mark and Sabrina were both interested in everything we did, but also to make sure we had no needs or issues (which we didn’t). The listing is very accurate as the house. Very clean and well-located to Hopkins. We rented a golf cart and that was all you really need unless you want to venture further away.Great things about the place - the dock has a regular flow of manatee. We saw several. Also, the tarpon and yellow jacks at night are a blast to watch. Dean did a terrific job hooking us up with tours and we were really pleased with them (see Get To Know Belize Adventures). Dean was also there to make sure everything we needed was met.

Was there for a week and could not have picked a better place to stay. From the time we arrived and until the time we left it was like being at a resort where "everyone knows your name". I appreciate that the owners are close by but never intrusive, only checking on us periodically to see if there is anything they can do to make us feel comfortable. We took advantage of having them pick up some supplies for us as I knew we would be tired and hungry after traveling. Clean drinking water always available at the house, AC worked great and the kitchen is fully stocked. GET THE CINNAMON BREAD to make French toast in the morning, so good, like eating a Cinnabon. The maintenance person Jose kept the beach clean for us as there was quite a bit of kelp due to storms recently. We rented a car and took the scenic route from the Airport and was about 2.5 hours and then going back, did the Coastal Highway which was easy, about 2 hours. Having a car was nice when driving around the town. The excursions we did Snorkeling, Horseback riding, Ziplining, Cave Tubing were all fabulous. We also had a local person cook us dinner, and Shelly was amazing! We loved the lobster tails and BBQ chicken and they cook and cleaned up for us. Well worth it! We will be back as Belize is wonderful and such nice people at all the restaurants, ice cream shops and local stores that we went to. Most of all the owners Mark and Sabrina are wonderful, and Dean has your drinks ready when you are!

We were met in the driveway by our gracious hosts and given a full tour of the property and house. Fresh fruit on the table, AC cranked, beach lapping on the shore outside. MmmmmmI caught fish off the dock, jammed at the beach bar with local talent WA-WA, and sipped the evenings away. Mark and neighbor Dean were very helpful with info and directions and arrangements and anything else we needed. Wonderful time. Rent a golf cart and cruise to local bars. Wonder Experience for the whole family

We had an amazing time at the Villa Rising Sun! There were 7 of us staying. The Villa is clean, spacious and comfortable. Mark, Sabrina, Dean and Blaine were all terrifically kind, helpful and hospitable. They helped us organize the best adventures and food, including flagging down the local bread and veggie vendors and arranging delivery of a fabulous birthday cake. My family decided on Belize for our vacation and we wanted to pick something epic as our oldest daughter was about to go away to college in the fall. Villa Rising Sun was AMAZING and Dean did an spectacula job ensuring that our time in Belize was as special as possible. Mark and Sabrina were also great as they went shopping for us ahead of time and were checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We booked almost everything that we could from a service and adventure perspective and took the recommendations of locals and the hosts. Shelley came into the villa and cooked for us 3 different nights and her food was amazing and she was born to cook :-) We also booked a golf cart for the week which I highly recommend because the stores and restaurants in town are great. We recommend Driftwood, Nice Cream, and the Italian place (name?) as they all had great food and service (be patient as food comes out on its own time). With regard to adventures we highly recommend the cook your catch and the waterfall adventure. Cook your catch was our favorite and we tried to book it a second time because we had so much fun. The coral reef on cook your catch and Bread and Butter Island were the highlights of the trip. We also did the monkey tour which was cool as we saw monkeys, crocodiles, and lots of other wildlife. In short, all of the services and adventures were fantastic! I am out of characters- so in summary, the dock, outside bar, and hosts at villa made the trip :-)

Simply Amazing

Our week stay at Villa Rising Sun was perfect for our family of five. Our two kids shared a room and my sister had her own room set off towards the back of the house. The Villa Rising Sun team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The home and grounds were clean and well cared for. I loved that cleaners were brought in midway through our week stay. An itinerary with our planned excursions and meal suggestions was provided by the management team. This along with the Villa Rising Sun guest website recommendations made it easier to choose restaurants and activities. We enjoyed most of our time outside at the bar watching the kids play in the ocean. The bar is equipped with an ice maker, wash sink, Bluetooth speaker system, and more. We enjoyed watching the marine life, including two manatees, off the well lite dock at night. We let the management team know what type of excursions we were looking at and they helped us coordinate them. It was so nice to be picked up and dropped off at the Villa for both of our excursions. The golf cart we rented for a day was also dropped to our door and pick up the next day. We look forward to returning one day!

Warm and Wonderful

Our days at Villa Rising Sun were truly restful, magical and fun. Mark, Sabrina and Dean made themselves available to answer questions, make suggestions and provide information about the community, sharing their passion and love for their adopted home. The accommodations are spacious and clean with plenty of room for large groups (our party of six consisted of one couple, two mothers/mothers-in-laws, and two friends), with ample space for a variety of interests and activities. The Caribbean Sea is in the backyard, offering around-the-clock access to swimming, floating, or just listening to the waves wash ashore. Great Stay!

We were a very last minute booking and Mark, Sabrina and Dean bent over backwards to make our stay easy, fun and comfortable. They are around when you need them but not at all overbearing. The house is super clean and comfortable with everything you need and more. We rented golf carts (arranged by dean and delivered within minutes) and it was so fun to cruise around. All of the tours they arranged were fabulous. Hopkins and Sitter River are so great. We’ll be back!

Just as perfect the second time around

I think that the most reliable recommendation of a property is a return visit. After staying at Villa Rising Sun in 2021, we did not bother looking at other properties when booking our stay in Hopkins in 2024 -- it was just as perfect the second time around. There is no room for improvement -- the interior of the property is amazing, the outdoor tiki bar and beach area is a spectacular space for partying, relaxing, and enjoying the beach and the views. The hosts are wonderful -- they go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is perfect. Perfect suggestions for excursions and dining. Can't say enough good things about Villa Rising Sun -- except that we will book it again when we return to Hopkins.

Great stay!

Such a great stay! Dean and Mark are very knowledgeable about the area and have great recommendations on things to do and places to go. They also set up our excursions and airport transports for us, so everything was so easy and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

Paradise!

This property was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and very spacious. The private bar outside was where we spent the majority of our time because it was absolutely perfect! The hosts were great. I couldn't have asked for a better way to start our Belize vacation. We will 100% be back to Hopkins and this Villa.
