Hood River Hotel is like staying in a piece of history. So much character! These days it is decorated with a bit of hipster modern take with industrial and vintage elements that flow nicely with the antique wood work.

If I could say enough good things about this hotel & the staff, I’d run out of room. I’ve been staying here since I was in middle school, often ‘running away’ from home, to indulge in RS (back in the Pasquale’s days) and laying in bed, reading whichever Ayn Rand novel captured my mind. The staff and the hotel have - for a long time - captured a part of who I am. I’m happy to return, and discovering nothing of essence had ever really changed.

Lovely old-fashioned Lobby, fire in the fireplace. We played chess downstairs in a curtained alcove. Room was clean, Bed was comfortable - except for the fact that I was alternately too hot or too cold due to the insulated bed comforter. (wish there'd been a top sheet and thinner blanket as an option)

Words aren't enough to express how much I love staying at the HRH. Everyone is amazing, they make the lobby feel like your front porch, the rooms are so comfortable. First time in a suite this time and the full kitchen helped out because the food in Hood River is great. Try them all, spend a week, the pictures and your blog won't do the experience justice. We'll be back, hope you will too.

The toilet got clogged early in the morning. My husband went to the front desk at 6:30 am to ask for a plunger. The attendant couldn’t find one so we had no choice but to leave the room super early in the morning 7:30! She offered no apologies for our inconvenience. I’ve even emailed the hotel asking for a partial refund and they haven’t replied.
