Great. Has lots of animals in rooms. Do not stay here if allergic to dogs or cats. Every room is pet friendly. There are NO pet-free rooms. Other than that...hotel is a 3 star with a good vibe. Pool area was nice. Room was nice. Bathroom very nice. Hotel halls were dark and dingy.

部屋はおしゃれで清掃も毎日行き届いており、スタッフの皆さんも親切でした。 ただ建物自体がとても古いので、エレベーターから大きく軋む音がしたり、部屋のドア下に隙間があいていたり（虫が入ってきそうで滞在中はタオルで塞いでいました）、シャワーの出がまちまちだったりと不安なところもありました。ホテルに寝に帰るだけなら良いのかもしれません。

전체적인 밸런스가 좋은 호텔이다. 하와이 호텔대비 가격도 1박당 20만원 미만으로 좋았고 직원도 친절했다. 주차비도 20불/일 수준으로 부담스럽지 않았다. 특별히 개선해야 할 부분은 없는 거 같다.

5th time in Hawaii. On holiday with a mate & the room we checked in to was clean & sufficient for our needs as we didn't plan on spending too much time in the room other than sleeping & showering. Beds were comfortable, aircon worked perfectly as did TV, safe, shower etc. Unfortunately on the 2nd day the toilet started dripping. After advising reception maintenance attempted to fix the problem but couldnt so we were immediately moved to another room on the same floor which was also an upgrade suite. Staff were very courteous & helpful, even giving us handy hints & tips about where to eat & shopping away from the expensive Waikiki strip. Pool was refreshing & poolside bar staff were friendly & accommodating to us Aussie larrikins & our cocktail requirements. Great bonus was the fairly reasonable prices for hotel drinks & restaurant food compared to other hotels. Location 2 blocks in from the main strip & fairly central in Waikiki was good & an easy 5-10 min or 2 drink walk to the beach. Can definitely recommend to travellers wanting good accommodation without paying the additional hotel resort fees many hotels charge which they may not need or use every day.

I booked 3 rooms for myself and my family from the end of October to beginning of November. In one of our rooms, we found multiple cockroaches. The first night we saw them we said no problem we'll try to be understanding and ignore it. But then we saw them a second night and figured this was unacceptable for a 4 star hotel that we paid a premium for. We alerted the front desk of this situation and we had photos and videos of the cockroaches with us. We were told by the man at the front desk that "cockroaches are common in tropical areas, they are more scared of you than you are of them." We were told to ignore them and we were offered a voucher for a meal at their hotel (not sure who would have an appetite to eat at a place with cockroaches). We instead politely asked for a different room but the front desk person refused and was annoyed with our request. After a long discussion he reluctantly agreed and we received a new room for that night. In addition to this, the rooms are not the cleanest. My son walked around our hotel for 5 minutes and his feet were black. Dust in the corners and bird poop all over the balcony. I would expect better service from a 4 star hotel and am very disappointment with the way my family was treated. I have never seen cockroaches at the other hotels I have stayed at in the area. I would not recommend staying at the Surfjack hotel. Save your money and book elsewhere

The property is older, but recently remodeled. Great location, and overall I enjoyed my stay. Pros: > Friendly staff, clean room, property is well maintained. > Cafe downstairs is excellent (I'd come back to this cafe for the coffee alone). > Pool is small, but cute with designated family/adult swim hours. > Hotel has a great vibe and hosts events throughout the week. Cons: > The shower had occasional issues (turning off while in use). Staff seemed pro-active about the issue once I notified them. > Walls were thin; allowing noise from TVs and conversations (at a normal volume) to be heard. > Noticeable road noise at night.
