I like that you had a robe and slippers in your closet and a they give you a big bottle of water everyday and valet was free and you never had to wait very long for them to bring your car .I love this hotel I should have stayed there my whole trip I went to the Hilton for half of my stay and I regret it,I think that the lotus was a better stay than the Hilton at Hawaii village

Have stayed for years here the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in. They make you feel like family and go above and beyond to accommodate whatever you need. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and recommend the aqua lotus every time. It's a jewel in paradise.

If you want a pool and room service and social buzz, stay on the busy end of the strip. But this quiet boutique hotel at the base if Diamond Head has lovely rooms, beautiful views of the park, included valet parking (!), an on-site restaurant, and is next door to a beach frequented by locals and a famed outdoor restaurant (the Hau Tree Lanai). We've stayed here three times and definitely will again.

awesome staff (friendly, great service), wonderful view, comfortable, close to aquarium and zoo.

Although our stay was short we found the facility to be excellent, hotel and room was very clean and pleasant.

Veru nice boutique hotel in a quiet area by the park.

Excellent hotel and staff. Quiet Diamond Head location. Lovely rooms and comfy bed! No restaurant, though.

We arrived expecting a refreshed version of an old favorite. What was there was a lackluster stripped down version of what used to be the W Diamond Head. No longer the warm greeting and fresh juice and cocktails. No longer the soft colored lighting in the elevator. Just plain and the rooms were simplified. We missed the music in the common areas. The restaurant lost its chef - though the view was still lovely from the main room of the restaurant. We will need to find a new happy home or visit the New Otani Kaimana again.

Staff is absolutely fantastic here. If you want to stay by waikiki without the noise and craziness this location is perfect. It is a short walk to waikiki (about 10-20 min), but it is located across from a beautiful park. The only two things that could have made the stay better would be if they had a gym and better internet. The speed wasn't bad, but the coverage in my room was not the best.

Perfect staff, perfect views, perfect everything! Hotel was right on the beach, but a nice walk to the shops. Breakfast wasn't impressive, but that was the least of my worries. I'd stay here again in a heart beat!

Close to beach, wonderful views and great helpful staff! Thank you for each and every time I have stayed with you!

Very nice room. I would stay on a higher floor to get a better view as trees were in the way. Great service. A little further from downtown but fabulous parks and beach

Very clean and comfortable small hotel. The staff was awesome and very helpful. The location near Diamond Head and Kapiolani Park is quiet and convenient.

Beautiful room, beautiful views, super friendly staff. It's hard to beat the Lotus.

I had a lovely stay at the Aqua Lotus and would come back on my next visit to the area. The staff were pleasant, professional, helpful, and seemed genuinely helpful. The room was clean and efficient. The only downside is that the view of the beach is blocked by another hotel and, especially at lower levels, you have a view of the parking lot. I had read the reviews before and got a view of the crater, which was great. The restaurant was close, but it's a short walk to dining options on Waikiki Beach.

Gorgeous, spotless room. We left the glass doors open and closed the shutter doors each night so the birds would wake us up in the morning. Great views, some ocean, mostly park and diamond head. Thanks to Courtney for the great yoga class on saturday!

The staff immediately make you feel welcome at this hotel. Perhaps because it is a smaller hotel, the staff are much more personable than at larger hotels. There is access to a private beach area which is quite small, but you can easily walk to the rest of the beaches around Waikiki. The location is great because it's walkable to Waikiki area stores and restaurants but set away from the noise and tackiness. The view of Diamond Head every morning is beautiful. Rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. My only complaint is that there is no restaurant on site, which would be nice after a busy day when you are tired are just want to grab a bite at the hotel before bed. Overall, a great place to stay in Oahu.

This 51 room hotel between Queen Kapiolani Park and the beach is a wonderful oasis if you want to get away from the insane crowds, noise and high end retail hubbub of Waikiki. When we booked we were worried that the pictures would not match the actual hotel. We needn't have worried! The staff could not have been more caring, professional and personable. Our room on an upper floor had a great view of downtown from the exterior corridor, and Diamond Head from the balcony. Every morning we were treated to ring neck parakeets and fairy terns flitting from tree to tree. Complimentary coffee every morning and wine in the afternoon in the lobby. You should know that this hotel doesn't have a pool, and the restaurant is being renovated and should be ready by 2013. Neither of these facts was a problem for us. Aqua provides free beach chairs and towels and the beach is a stone's throw away. The properties on either side have restaurants-pricey but great food. Better to walk or bike a short distance-Lu lu's and Cheeseburger in Paradise make a nice breakfast, and Diamond Head Market and Grill at the corner of Monsarrat and Campbell is a place for local "ono grinds" (that means good food, bro). Our king bed was very comfortable, the room was simple and elegant-muted turquoise fabrics and a dark floor with a neutral patterned area rug, very restive. And cleaned spotlessly every day. There's laundry on site-if you like to travel with carry on only, that's a plus :) We left knowing we would be back and the sooner the better.

The Aqua Lotus is quietly situated away from the busy Waikiki strip. But, you can still enjoy the strip after a short 10 min walk. It is located near the beautiful Kaimana beach, where I frequently swam as a child. The staff was friendly and helpful. The morning coffee and tea, and evening wine in the lobby was very convenient. The room was simple but elegant. The view of Diamond Head and Waikiki beach was a double whammy! The only thing that would have made our stay better was more reasonably priced eating spots nearer to the hotel. We would definitely return to the Aqua Lotus and recommend it to others.

Bike to Diamond Head and the city college Farmer's Market saturdays. Have a breakfast there and fried green tomatoes - honest. Stop at Bogart's on the ride back and have coffee and a scone. Swim their little shared beach. Walk the park eating at that restaurant in the park. Enjoy the Aqua Lotus's complementary 4 - 6 pm wine and well made Kona coffee in the morning!! And sleep very well away from all the joys of wild Waikiki!!
