We have stayed with CHI 314 every time we were in Hong Kong and after 18th times, it felt just a good as the first time. We enjoyed the spacious large 1 bedroom 'D' plan as it offers ample space for 2 on a 10 night stay. The bedding was clean and comfortable and the air-conditioning works very well during the warmer days. Location is excellent with so many restaurants close by as well as an easy walk to TST for shopping. Will return soon enough.
Excellent friendly staff, comfortable room locate right in the middle of Kowloon. Highly recommended. A umbrella is provided in my room. A little touch that means a lot in a wet city like Hong Kong. Subway station within a block from the hotel. Most important every staff member we met is very helpful and friendly, which is refreshing, considering smiling face is hard to found in Hong Kong.
Convenient location, clean environment and professional front desk. Reasonable rates. The only recommendation I would love to make is to change their window curtains since the 3 flight of stairs to their elevator is a fixed inconvenience. Another suggestion is to combine their apartment manual key with their building access card and make it more sufficient for getting in and out of the apartment. Overall, great stay. Will go again.
Room very clean and comfortable.. the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.. very near from Jordan MTR station. There is 7-11 in front of the hotel.. this hotel very recommended !! I will back to this hotel once going to HK again.
Nice room. Kind of spacious with sofa and kitchenette. Comfy bed too. So good that they provide conditioner in the bathroom. However no comb was provided. May be a bit inconvenient for travelers with heavy luggage as you have to climb up one floor from the main entrance to access the lift and the reception which is on the 2nd floor.
It was my first stay here, in a one-bedroom apartment. I had a corner unit, which meant ample windows and therefore natural light - three windows in the bedroom and one in the lounge/kitchen area. Fantastic job by housekeeping - spotless bathrooms. Huge shower - large enough to accommodate 5 or 6 friends if that way inclined(!), area around the toilet itself was a bit cramped . High-end bathroom fittings (Grohe), but surprising lack of something like a dish rack for draining dishes. Even though facing Nathan Road, the unit was surprisingly quiet and I slept very well in the comfortable bed. Ample storage, including double wardrobes. A quality microwave (Panasonic) and full-size fridge were great. Some of the walls had evidence of previous water leaks/paint peeling but not a problem during my stay. The smartphone that includes free local calls and internet and free international calls to selected countries is worth mentioning. There are notices near the self-service laundry facilities stating that they are only for the use of guests staying on a monthly basis. This was disappointing, as (I stand to be corrected) this is not what is stated on their website. As I had been travelling for 8 days prior to staying at Chi, these facilities were one of the reasons I booked an apartment rather than the Novotel up the road, which is where I usually stay. I ended up due to time taking my washing to a laundry nearby and paying a reasonable HK$36 to have it washed and dried, same-day collection. I even got a "Thank you" upon depositing and collecting my laundry, which unfortunately again seems increasingly rare in HK. Thankfully the lift was problem-free during my stay. The only real negative was the lack of a lift from and to the ground floor. I arrived with two cases, including twenty kilos in the larger one. Quite an unpleasant experience having to haul it up the three lots of stairs to reach the management office to check in. I was dreading the departure, as I would have an extra case (25kgs and 17 kgs, in the end). Check out itself was straightforward. One of the housekeeping staff saw me with my three cases and immediately offered to help me with them to the ground floor. Much gratitude to her. I would stay again, as having the extra space for a similar price as a hotel room;however, this would depend on the amount of luggage I had.
I was disappointed to see that other reviewers had problems with the lift being out of order. That would upset me too. Glad to say it is working again now. I have stayed here 4 times over the last three years and always had a top class experience. Sure you have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs when you arrive, but the quality and cleanliness of the rooms makes it worth it. Together with the very friendly staff I really don't think you will find another comparable space in Hong Kong for the price. You are also right in the hearth of the wonderful hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. I will certainly be staying here again on my next trip.
Chi 314 We have been staying here for over 6 years, annually for a month at a time,up to now it has been quite ok. But this time it has been a huge disappointment! We have had issues with the following with no real serious attempt to rectify them from management. Toilet flushing problems from first few days, told it cant be fixed just have to put up with it. Then whole building had no flushable water for nearly 24hrs. No real apology from management, just told it wasn't their fault and to use a bucket! Sadly in addition, bed linen past its use by date, thin and threadbare. Towels ditto some were frayed and even had holes in them! Awful cooking smells and cigarette smoke invading our apartment! Imagine coming home from a pleasant night out, having to climb 9 flights of stairs ( see point below)to be confronted with the smell of fried onions in your whole apartment! And windows that don't open properly! Certainly not a quality environment, more like a cheap hostel! Obviously air con not functioning properly. Things really collapsed when the one and only lift broke down,! No lift for over FOUR days with in a FOURTEEN floor serviced apartment with 5 apartments per floor! Again no genuine care or concern from management! Not everyone is fit enough to climb up so many flights! We are on the 9th floor! Very unpleasant ! Pity customers checking in or out with a month's luggage! Or health issues. The overall impression is that on site staff appear enthusiastic but the overall head office staff seem to be in control and much care about customer satisfaction Certainly NOT the same place that won Trip Advisor Excellence Award for Best Serviced Apartment in Asia in the past! Stay at your own risk!
I used to like staying at Chi, but this time the only lift in 14 storey building is out of action - now for 4 days! Management unable to resolve. Has soured our stay with Chi. Imagine having to climb up to 14 storeys up and down for breakfast? Has become the - 'Hotel from Hell'
Stayed here with the family (2 adults & 2 children) for 8 nights. We were staying in HK for quite awhile, so we were looking for a place with decent size room for the kids to play around, close to MTR station and a reasonable rate. This is almost impossible to find!! But CHI 314 had all this and more! We booked early and got a good rate and the size of the room was very good. It had a separate lounge and open kitchen area. This was very helpful as we had to re-heat and prepare food for our toddler. It also gave the kids an area to play in while we were packing or unpacking and doing other things. The location is excellent. It is right next to the Jordan MTR station, literally around the corner, only a 1min walk. There is also a 7-11 opposite the apartments. Security is good, the entrance to the apartments can only be accessed via key fob and the key fob will only give access to the level of your apartment. All staff were super friendly and very helpful. We had a delayed flight and arrived almost at 1:30am. I notified them before we arrived but did not expect the staff to come out and help us get out of our Uber ride and helped us with all the luggage and baby pram from the car and upto our room. We didn't have to do anything, just check-in and confirm our details etc. We were really surprised with the level of service and tried to give him a tip, but he would not take our tip and said it was part of his job and was happy to help us. Such a humble, helpful and friendly staff member, we would really like to say thanks to him again. The only drawback is the entrance to the apartments had 2 small levels of stairs before reaching the lift. Other than that, our stay there was excellent. Will definitely be coming back here whenever we go back to HK. Price was very good, clean, excellent location and all staff were friendly, helpful and always had a smile.
