The house was perfect for our family celebration, my son's promotion within the USMC. There was a shortage of bath towels, kitchen and paper towels, as well as dishwasher tablets for 8 people, that required me to ask for more supplies on day one. The request was quickly remedied. We had a problem with the grill, but the owner fixed that situation with a modest refund. If you love the beach and enjoy watching the tide and surf come and go, this is a perfect beach house for a family get-together.

Lovely home for a peaceful, quiet beachfront getaway. I stayed with my family and we had a great time. The beach access is close and the porch has some amazing views of the ocean. We also had a person in a wheelchair and walker and the elevator was a great addition.

Host was very responsive when elevator did not work and it was fixed within a day. Easy, close walk to beach. Beautiful ocean view from the house. Lots of beach chairs and toys were available. Would like to have a bit more variety in the style of glass drink-ware ie cocktail glasses. Overall beds were comfortable but the top floor bedroom has a very soft mattress. Overall a very nice home with an excellent location.

Lovely home with amazing views. The view of the ocean is better than the photos capture. I was able to enjoy being close to the waves while taking care of my mother with dementia. The elevator made this a possibility. The home is spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and a bathroom in each bedroom was very helpful. I will definitely plan another stay in the future.

Our family has a fabulous time in this house! It was steps to the beach, the host was so kind and communicated quickly, and we loved the amount of rooms, each with its own bathroom. The decor is lovely and beachy, and the main living area is spacious and comfy. We loved hanging out on the deck looking at the ocean.

Perfect views and the room for time with family

We came to NC to spend our spring break with our young Marine and some of his close friends stationed at Lejeune. We were close enough that he could come and go as needed for work and we could have somewhere to enjoy the rest of the day. The home was a great fit, beautifully located, and most of the amenities we desired with plenty of space for all of us. My 83yr-young mom was fine using the stairs even though the elevator was accessible. The sound of the ocean still roars in my ears from enjoying my morning coffee and afternoon iced tea on the deck.

House was clean, the only thing i didnt like was the smell when i walked in but it was from the last people that stayed there they must of cooked seafood, and trash was full and smelled very bad outside from what ever was thrown away, oher than that i loved everything.

Great stay at Surf City. The house was immaculate, and felt like home from the moment we arrived. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The house was beautifully decorated, and was in impeccable condition. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious and pampering. Location was across the road from the beach, but the road was small and not a throughway (it ended just past the house), and the views from the deck were unencumbered. Beach access was easily accessible and convenient. Overall we had a great stay and thank the property owners for a great place to stay. Well done!

Family Beach Trip

My family really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well stocked and on a quiet street which we loved. It was very convenient having a bathroom in each bedroom and also nice that there weren’t just bunk beds in any of the rooms since we mostly have adults in our crowd. Even though the house isn’t oceanfront, it’s a very short walk to the beach and the ocean view is awesome.

Great house

Very clean house and great location! It’s nice there’s a community pool if you don’t want to be in the sand all day. The elevator was a huge plus for getting groceries and luggage upstairs. The communication was fantastic and prompt! Will definitely stay here again if we go back to Top Sail!

Location, location, location! Unlimited views of ocean, sunrise and sunset. 100 yards to beach access. Quiet neighborhood/street - ideal for protecting small kids. Tastefully decorated and spacious, comfortable beds and living room furniture. What’s not to like??

Truly beautiful house with spectacular views and great location. We loved the layout of the home so that we all had our own private space and bathroom. The house had everything we needed to cook, make ourselves at home, etc. Very clean! Would definitely stay here again- we did not want to leave!

Nice place for a short stay

We only stayed one night but the place was clean, nicely decorated, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. It was so nice to have things like paper towels, hand soap, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash provided And each bedroom had its own bathroom—very convenient! Bathrooms are a little outdated but clean. The owner was quick to communicate with us and to assure our comfort. He was also great in accommodating us with check in/out times due to our unique schedule. We enjoyed our stay very much!
