We have visited many times both in high and low seasons and even at the busiest times - because of its clever design, this resort is always spacious. The gardens are rolling and beautiful to walk around with the herbs, scented flowers and exotic wild birds - that's when you can bring yourself to leave the idyllic beach. What a beach - clean golden sands and the umbrellas and beds spread out so you are unaware of anybody else being there. It is a true escape. The rooms are attractive and very comfortable - they have been recently refreshed - and we always sleep very well. It's the staff though that make staying here are true pleasure - always kind and attentive and obviously enjoying their work. The ladies in the breakfast room are particularly delightful and I've watched with admiration as they treat everyone as they were Kings an Queens. Oh, and breakfasts are delicious and abundant. This place certainly has the feel-good-factor. Quite magic. We'll be back!!!!!
This is a superb choice of beach resort holiday in a beautiful place as long as you know what you want and are getting; we rarely would consider revisiting a hotel, but we would definitely come back here. The resort is spacious, lush & green, handsomely-provided with pools (including lovely private garden pools for individual villas) and immediately adjacent to the most stunning beach with pale golden sand and perfect sea views out to the snorkelling-worthy Cham Islands; fumigation kept mosquitoes and other insects in check on the resort (though still take DEET to Vietnam) - and the air-conditioned two-bedroom villa we stayed in was fantastic, though with slightly hard beds. Both resort and beach (and we went in high season) were almost empty - don't expect any party life - and this was exactly what we wanted. The resort restaurant has a wide range of good options (at its best where you choose regional cuisine options - but it needs more child chairs) and reasonably good value; breakfast is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace with a very wide range of choices. This restaurant quality matters as the resort is not in town but on a fast highway and there are basically only a couple of very mediocre options beyond the gate - to find better you need to taxi to Hoi An (an inexpensive trip, and there is usually no problem with taxis waiting plus a free shuttle.) The cocktails were overpriced and questionably made, though the staff of restaurant, bar and resort as a whole were all very kind, thoughtful and attentive (in the very relaxed way typical of resorts in the region.) Wifi was very slow and I used an airport mobile SIM by preference, which was fine. The almost-empty spa gave very good if not quite excellent treatments at reasonable prices, and Coconut Spa just outside the gate offers nearly as good for less again; the resort reception offered a range of cultural & sporting excursions at typical resort prices (or they're easy to source yourself in the area too.) You will have a delightfully quiet, restorative stay here, though don't choose it for activity holidays (better closer to Da Nang?) or for walkable access to anywhere. Noticeable was the complete array of the few visitors alongside us: Europeans including Brits, Australians, South-East Asians, Chinese, Koreans, Americans etc - of ages from young families (the resort included a high-quality wooden cot for free for our toddler!) to senior citizens, small family groups to larger travel collectives - not a party scene for Spring Break sorts, though. The resort itself is a touch tired in decor and surreally empty (which personally I found a delight!), but if you look past this the great value is evident: multiple and private pools, first-class beach, spa & trip options, great accommodation, good food, decent prices, the relaxing life. Loved it.
We stayed in an Ocean View villa for seven days and had a great time. Very relaxing and quiet and just a 10 minute taxi ride into Hoi An (costs about £4). Positives.... the location is lovely directly fronting a picturesque clean beach which never felt crowded.. the gardens sloping down to the beach are well looked after by a dedicated team of people. The pool area was very comfortable and the pool kept really clean. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our stay, helping with all our requirements and needs, particularly the reception staff. Had poolside lunch on several days and the food was tasty and fresh. Negatives: This wasn't the most expensive beach front accommodation that we considered and I guess the price paid reflects the fact that the accommodation is quite tired around the edges, showing signs of wear and tear in several communal areas and within the rooms themselves. Several trip hazards around the pool area. Housekeeping was pretty lapse and despite reminding them on several occasions that we were a family of three, they would often leave only one bath towel, one bath robe etc. The restaurant and poolside bar service was painfully slow often having to wait over an hour to be served with a drink or food. Overall, would we stay again ...yes. But accept that you are going for the location rather than the quality of the accommodation itself.
A well balanced and tranquil place to relax and not too far from Hoi An town which you can reach via hotel courtesy bus. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and especially the Manager and all the restaurant staff, especially lady named Thuan. Thank you Le Belhamy. Also the beach location was perfect. Although it wasn't a luxurious resort it was compensated by its friendly and relaxed atmosphere and lush surroundings. The wi-fi was not the best and sometimes the signal was intermittent so you need to call the IT team to sort things out.
We, a group of seven, comprising of two senior citizens ( fit enough to walk around), a young couple and three young children below 11years stayed at this property during our recent visit to Hoi An. This hotel is 6 Km from Hoi An and about 20 Km from Danang. It is closer to Marble Mountain area. The Resort is located by the sea and has a private beach. The beach side is good for quiet relaxation and neat but just okay for sea swimming. No water sports. The resort is spread over a very large area and the movement around is facilitated by golf carts. Bicycles are also available. The food is generally good though there are very limited choices for vegetarians. The morning breakfast also has limited options but good. The Resort staff is very courteous, helpful, always smiling and ready to help. One really enjoys Vietnamese hospitality. The property appears to be fairly old and needs good maintenance. Opening the locks of the two rooms that we had (room nos. 301,302) was itself a big hassle. The proper upkeep of facility leaves much to be desired The Kids enjoyed their time in the swimming pool, play areas and the wide open spaces. Overall, we all enjoyed the environment, surroundings and hospitality of the Resort.
We are sad not to rate this impressive boutique beach resort with 5 stars because it is arguably one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. It is basicly a palm tree park ending at a private part of the An Bang beach. We appreciate the willingness of the manager who was always around to care about us and even gave us an upgraded room! Nevertheless, we encountered some imperfections concerning the otherwise very friendly staff or the housing. We believe that while the owners charges European prices at Vietnamese labour costs, they should invest more in their training. It was rather striking that in a 4 star resort it was very difficult to communicate in basic English or French with most staff members. This often resulted in wrong servings in the restaurant or the pool bar. The restaurant is good for the large breakfast buffet but rather bad for dinner. They should try to make simple and delicious Vietnamese dishes instead of a strange fusion of international cuisine. Especially bad is the (red) wine which is served cold and tastes like liquid death. The wifi connection in our villa did not work most of the time. I hope this review will finds its way to the owners who will invest some of their profits back into the staff training and some renovations in the resort. We can still recommend to stay here for the beach part of your Vietnam trip but urge the owner to get his/her priorities right: 1) clients 2) staff 3) immediate profit.
Overall our stay here was very positive but the hotel definitely needs some work and renovations. We were there for a week with two toddlers and booked a two bedroom beachside Villa. The location was amazing and literally footsteps to a wonderful beach and close to the lovely swimming pool. The two bedroom Villa is a two floor loft with the upstairs balcony of loose Perspex slotted into wood slats so with toddlers this and the big staircase was not safe however the hotel staff were very accommodating and moved us into a one bedroom Villa quickly and without fuss. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff is unquestionable, they were helpful and always willing to help in anyway. The room service and restaurant food was great. The facilities for example the children's playground is in severe disrepair and dangerous to use as the backs of swings are broken, the slide has a metal spike near the bottom and most of the toys are broken which was a shame as once it was obviously a really nice feature. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It is about a ten minute drive into ride into the Old town and There is a shuttle bus service for this although we found it easier to taxi. Basically, if you have young children book the one bedroom accommodation, it's a lovely location and the staff are great, good food but definitely needs repair and refurbishment.
I have been compelled to write this due to the friendly and gracious efforts of Vân, Dung, Biñh and Thuân who are truly a credit to the hotel. Their welcoming reception, attentiveness and ‘above and beyond’ sense of duty EVERY MORNING was astounding and has left a lasting impression on my whole family. From the moment we arrived at the reception, the staff were wonderful and helpful, making sure any problems we had were resolved quickly. Everyone smiles and says hello and this drew out my normally shy little girl who said hello back to everyone. She even continued her ray of sunshine going back to Hong Kong and then the UK for which we will always be in their debt. Yes the hotel has its faults, name one that doesn’t, but remember it’s not owned by an international conglomerate. It’s the men and women of this hotel that makes it stand out and differentiates it from any other hotel I have ever stayed in. I highly recommend the Le Belhamy especially with children.
We reserved 2 rooms in March: one for me, my daughters and my boyfriend; and one for my sister-in-law and her boyfriend. Some days before we asked for an hotel taxi to pick us at the airport: before 9am we were already outside the airport waiting for the hotel taxi... until 10h10 when we decide pick up a regular taxi, because the hotel one didn´t appear. So, we arrived at the hotel and the staff told us that there has been a traffic accident, but we didn´t understand if the accident was with the hotel taxi (and they should send another one) or if the accident was in some street and the hotel taxi was stuck (and they should send another taxi, again). We had lost more than one hour in the airport for nothing!! The room was fine, but the wifi in the room doesn´t exist, so we had to call for the reception 4 or 5 times...in one of those times they send someone to fix the TV (the tv is not good too, but we didn´t ask for nothing regarding it). The hotel has a deadly playgroung in the middle, so if you have kids, stay away from the playground! The slide has some spikes in the end, the swings are almost broke and the seesaws don´t move because of the sand and dust! Oh, and it´s all durty..very,very durty! The staff from the restaurante was very nice, but in the first time that we had dinner there, they almost sat down with us making questions and talk about all their friends in city (that we should go there and buy stuff). Well, this is personal preferences, but in the end of that day I only wanted eat and relax... So in the other days we asked for the food and ate in some tables outside. The problem is: the plates and the rest of the food stayed there for days...Until we called the kitchen service and asked to pick it up. The beach zone has a lot of potencial, but no... it´s more or less good! My sister-in-law had some stains in her sheet, asked, in the morning for changed it, and in the evening time the sheets still there with the stains! The good stuff: - The staff is really nice! - The pools are great! - Had bus to the city, and if the bus is full they call and pay the taxi. - The beach is good, but can be awesome. I will go there next time, but I hope to see some improves because this can be an awesome resort!
A True Luxury Resort at a Great Price. Stayed there 4 nights in March 2017. I had the Finest Resort experience of my life. Stayed in a Villa with a Private Marble Pool right next to the Restaurant with great food and a Better staff with Good English Skills. Two Beautiful Pools both over 30 meters long, one of witch overlooks there Private Beach on The South China Sea. Grounds and pools were immaculate. With in 15 Minutes of Hoi An, Marble Mountain and Monkey Mountain.
