Good location Friendly staff although at times kind of slow Travelled with small baby hotel provided baby cot in room Room clean Food free wifi Free breakfast buffet many many food choices Swimming pool (outdoor) Airport transfer for 40USD each way Paid about 95USD per night booking through hotel online website Two hotel restaurants Casino, spa, hair salon inside hotel Stayed in oct 2017 and old building rooms had been renovated nicely
If beautifully restored colonial buildings are your thing then the Grand Hotel won’t disappoint. The architecture is full of character, polished hardwood floors and matching colonial furniture adorn the spacious, high-ceiling rooms. Stay in the old wing if you can because this is the original hotel. As you’d expect there’s several bars/restaurants in the hotel. The best one is the rooftop bar on the 20th floor, affording unimpeded panoramic views over the city, including breathtaking views of the river. The hotel is on Dong Khoi Street which is the most interesting street in Saigon and also a main arterial road in the city. This is the one Street in Saigon which still overflows with the echoes of former colonial splendor; the Saigon of Graham Greene. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was exceptional and the service was excellent. All told very good value for money if you book on Agoda.
Booked into the old part. Unfortunately road work noise made it impossible to sleep. Staff were great in moving us as soon as I mentioned it to them, to the new part and a beautiful sleep was had. The room in the new part was very comfortable. Many things to choose from for breakfast. Sensational views from 20th floor restaurant. Only minor complaint or suggestion is that it would be good if the menu in the restaurant changed every couple of days to have a special Vietnamese item. Fantastic central location made it easy to walk/taxi where-ever we wanted to go. And have I mentioned the staff were great.
Charming 1930's colonial style, good location, large room, friendly and helpful staff, large conference/meeting room on upper floor. Now the not so good - very poor hotel Internet site that gives unintelligible on-screen error messages when trying to book, non functioning on line payment system and very slow WiFi Internet at the hotel. Also worth knowing that several of the rooms have windows with the walls of the neighbouring inches away, so if you want a view, ask when checking in.
right in the center of the city. very easy and quick check in process. spacious room and comfortable bed with easy access to internet as well. the room have low lighting though. huge variety of food choices
As a family if 4 (2 children) travelling the Grand Saigon was great. Central location close to everything including supermarket for snacks, money changer and good coffee! They do not have connecting rooms so we had 2 rooms next door which was ok for a few of nights. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. I would recommend.
Hotel is nice, staff friendly & helpful, location is excellent. The breakfast is also good. We arrived in the evening and had dinner and a drink at the roof top restaurant mainly for convenience. Nothing spectacular but met our needs at the time. Try Golden Lotus For a foot massage after a day of sight-seeing.
It is located in the central district 1 and nearby all greatest office buildings in the city. Excellent service, esp the spa, restaurants, room service. You can enjoy weekend breeze at Nguyen Hue walking street also.
The hotel is very centrally located and just a block from the square and a few blocks from the mall and good restaurants. It's also a few blocks from the war remnants museuum. The hotel offers a great spread for breakfast and the room sizes are decent. The only drawback is the awfully slow wifi. It's really frustrating to access your internet from your room but accessing it from the lobby is slightly faster. Other than the wifi it's a lovely hotel and would recommend it.
Wonderful hotel, great location. Very nice roof top bar, a little pricey but expected for the location. Staff was always very friendly and helpful, room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
