The hotel location is great for many activities. Eateries, coffee shops. We were spoiled while staying there. Great breakfast buffett. They have vietnamese food and food for foreigners. A combination of East and west. Staffs were wonderful. We stayed twice at Catina and love it each time.
Pretty good hotel at excellent location. Really worth the money.
The hotel was located in a handy position walking distance to a number of tourists attractions. Lucky Plaza is only a 10 minutes walk and has a supermarket on the third floor with the basics.
The location is great - it is across the street from the Sheraton. The room is very basic but clean and served its purpose. Free water and wi-fi!
I read online that many rooms didn't have a window. this was out of the question for us so i chose a room through this site that didn't have the "no window" note. sure enough on arrival we find no window. we go down to the desk and ask about it. we're told a room with a window will be almost double. we decline. when we try to extend the stay they try to jack the price up. we say then just check us out and suddenly the price stays the same. we were there a week total. every other day like clockwork we would return late, exhausted, soaking wet, miserable, to find our card key didn't work. every day it was a "sorry" and it was made to work. we received only one large bath towel for two guests, no matter how many times we asked. we always lit the do not disturb sign but staff knocked for the first three days. when we told them to stop, they did stop. but then they started waking us up by phone to ask if we wanted laundry service. we did not. the free breakfast was surprisingly good. too bad it wasn't available later. otherwise the food in the restaurant and from room service was really atrocious. I'm sorry but it was mostly inedible and just quite bad. on two mornings a man not in uniform knocked on our door early. when we answered he just smiled and walked into a staff room. one morning, with the do not disturb sign lit, someone used a card key and simply walked into our room. they saw us in bed and made a hasty exit. we don't know male or female, staff or not. the room had an "old" smell that left my through sore every morning. it was that strong. i could go on and on. this staff tried so hard to please, but they just didn't seem to know what they were doing. price was too high. room was low grade mediocre. loud neighbors. kids in hall ringing every doorbell. wifi was utterly worthless unless you went into the toilet or out in the hall. then it was typical slow wifi. in the room it simply did not work. this place barely eked by with a two stars. i would never go there again.. you can get the very same thing, maybe better, in the $18-$24 rrange within two or three blocks. this place was close to $70 a night. just say no and keep looking. easy to do better.
excellent location, price is very good ,staff is very nice and helpful . we like it a lot will stay again when we intown
Great small hotel smack in the centre of District 1 next to the Sheraton. Good for basic business travel and at an affordable price.
This was our second stay at this hotel in the past 8 months, this time with several friends along. Everyone was pleased with the service, rooms and the location. Breakfast could be improved a bit, but then I had more than enough to eat every day. The rooms are clean and comfy, bed and everything very comfy. Be aware, most rooms do not have windows, so if you need sunlight, book the rooms with windows, or better yet, go outside and walk about. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, you can't go wrong.
The staff spoke great English and were very accommodating. I was upgraded upon arrival because the room I ordered was still occupied. Rooms are relatively new and clean! The hotel is not a main street so it's less busy. Centrally located in District 1. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again should I get the chance to come back!
Best value for money in Zone 1. My second visit and will continue to return. Staff are exceptional.
