Room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 6:00. Sound really carried into our room on the first floor near the breakfast room. Water wasn’t very hot in the bathroom.

We were in room 335 and the heater/fan in the room had a loud screeching when it kicked it. Unfortunately it woke us up continually. The room also did not have hotwater in the morning to shower with. We told the front desk and they kindly offered another room but at the point with our belongings everyone (and with our children still sleeping) we did not want to move rooms. The hot tub also was luke warm so that was disappointing, especially when it was -30..my wife and kids came up shivering after trying it out..! The room itself however was clean and the breakfast was very good, especially the omellete, My sense is that the fan issue and the hot water issue were not typical for your hotel as it was overall clean and well kept. We would like to stay at the Kanata again in the future but without these issues. I believe a discount for a future stay at the Kanata for us would be appropriate based on a what we experienced.
