I have stayed here before so this is review is the combined visits. Staff are always very polite whether front of house or elsewhere. It's always very clean. It's a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.,,,what I want from a hotel. Location is very good and parking easy.
Stayed here this week whilst in the area. Booked a decent deal at the last minute. Bit difficult to find as postcode leads you to the main road around the corner. Check in nice and easy and I was allocated a room on the ground floor. Nice large room and immaculately clean. Complimentary water and biscuits which was a nice touch. Food prices were higher than average so I ate out so cannot comment on the food. Plenty of choices if you turn left out of the hotel car park on the retail park next door to the hotel. Nice and quiet at night so got a good nights sleep. Would stay again.
If visiting Hatfield on business it is a good choice. The rooms are modern and clean. Adequate parking and just about a 4 minutes drive off the motorway so very convenient. The Galleria shopping center is directly opposite. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment, however I looked at the menu and it looked pricey. There is a number of eating establishments within a 5 minute walk so I would not use the hotel personally.
Hotel is in good location and that's it's win. It's clean and nice. Service was ok. Room well arranged and airy. I tried most hotels in area. And was expecting excellent service. When checking in doubled check it my work has arranged payment where they did not know. So I called work next day and asked to sort it out and they did it. Then on my leaving and checking out the representative was confused and not sure about payment. She advised me hat she will email me if they will charge my personal credit card or it's already payed. I checked out 7am and had to call them back 5pm. For £180 per night stay not sure I wan to chase things after stay. It's not bad place to stay but if you looking for that next level service you need to go for Mercury Hotel. Otherwise this one is fine.
This was my fourth stay at Beales for a conference. I have to say that I always have an excellent night's sleep: the beds are comfortable and the rooms always so clean and welcoming. The selection of biscuits in the room are always well received. The breakfast was good and the staff helpful as always. I look forward to my next visit in January.
I stayed with a family member as we had an early morning appointment near by. We arrived quite late and found the staff clearing down the restaurant to prep it for breakfast, despite us arriving at closing time the staff cheerfully accomodated us and let us order dinner, and what a dinner! I had salmon and it was divine. Our room was lovely, although we both found our beds way too soft, it was akin to sleeping in a marshmallow, and i found myself lying extra still as i couldnt help but wonder if any quick movement would result in me bouncing off onto the floor. The staff at this hotel are amazing, going out of the way to help, charming and polite. The hotel was right next door to a huge multiplex with lots of restaurants should you want to dine out.
I stayed at this hotel for one night. The bathroom needs updating and the bath in need of a good clean. It was very mouldy around the bath as per the enclosed photo. The room was shabby and also in need or either a good clean or ungrading. Breakfast was nice and the staff friendly. The hotel is expensive for what you get and I would not return. I heard a lot of noise from outside the room as well.
Beales Hotel Hatfield is a very modern, contemporary hotel, oozing style, taste and an abundance of helpful staff. From the moment my wife and I checked in, to the moment we left, we were made to feel at home, nothing was too much trouble. The 53 guest bedrooms are all individually designed and have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The kingsize bed, with its Egyptian cotton duvet was most comfortable. In all the rooms, and throughout the hotel, are a number of pieces of art work created by local art students. There is a cosy bar area, complete with a baby grand piano, and a wonderful restaurant, serving excellent food. We only had one night here but I would definitely consider returning if I am ever in the area again.
Just returned from a reunion held at Beales, and am so glad that I also chose to stay there. The highlight was definitely the bed, which was possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The little touches in the room such as the little packet of macarons did make it even more special. There were a couple of small things that just let the hotel down - I did find that the shower wasn't particularly powerful (friends in different rooms found they had the same issue), and the only thing that let the fantastic breakfast down was maybe a slight lack of service - the staff were very pleasant but it's always nice to have the system explained (even though a buffet is fairly self explanatory) - I just feel rude going to help myself without permission! Overall though a lovely stay and I would definitely return if I had another event in the area.
I stay 3 nights had dinner there one evening and can say a very well serviced hotel with professional and attentive staff. The management should congratulated for how it is managed. The decor was tastefully furnished though subjectively, the dining area would better with a lighter decor given that there are no windows except slong the front corridor. The room, I was given number 1, also a disable room, but it could be that all rooms are the same? If not then at reception should of advised the guest if a disable room would OK. For me it was not a problem, but for others it could be. The room was well laid out with most importantly a comfortable bed. I had 3 nights of uninterrupted sleep reflecting bed comfort and room ambience. The reason sized bathroom being a disabled room was a wet room. Both sink and toilet were positioned in a much lower height than standard, making their use a little awkward. But overall, both bedroom and bathroom was let down by Maintenance issues such as: worn backrest on the lounge chair; the bathroom door could close shut due to the door frame either being distorted or humidity ingress blocking closure; ceiling damaged over a long period of time probably due to humidity from a wet room design indicating insufficient exhaust and aeration when the room is in use i.e. ventilation. Therefore, I could only give 3 stars, but J would be happy to stay at Beale again.
