We stayed here as we attended a wedding at the Henley Golf Club. The room was basic, it was actually very small and smelt of cheap disinfectant initially. We opened the windows and this smell soon went. However being on the ground floor we could not leave our windows open. There is absolutely no mobile phone signal in this hotel. I couldn't get Wifi either. The breakfast was okay. The staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and we loved the friendly guy at breakfast ensuring everyone had everything they needed.
Stayed in one of the suites recently for a wedding nearby - room was clean and well appointed and a very comfortable bed. Other family member, staying in standard rooms, remarked on how small some are - and for anyone with mobility problems, there is no lift to the first floor. A couple of minor issues with the room were dealt with immediately and the staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast - acceptable for the now ubiquitous buffet .
room so small and hot could not even walk around the end of the bed ( my 82 year old husband has the bruises to vouch for that) room so small we had to stack 2 chairs in front of the fire door at night to sleep ( another health and safety risk )
Stayed for 2 nights for family wedding. On arrival was told getting breakfast was not possible, after complaining it suddenly was possible. Our room was clean and quite new but very small. The show was a hand held hose in a bath which was high and difficult to get into and it is quite difficult to wash hair when having to hold the shower. Bar is pricey, All seemed abit chaotic
Stayed over after a wedding at the nearby golf club. I was very pleased with the quiet location of this hotel. It is tucked away from the nearby main road into Henley in Arden. I checked in at 3pm and sat in the room to read the newspaper. Very quiet and relaxing. The room had a good sized double bed and there was a small area off the bedroom with a sofa and wardrobe. Shower cubicle with plenty of hot water and good pressure :) Came away the following morning feeling well rested.
Overnight after flight into Birmingham en route to Dorset. Adequate Hotel but no lift and narrow stairs to first floor room. Help available with luggage so ask as this was not offered on check in. Friendly staff, room okay, had booked a double but two singles provided and my bed not to comfy but otherwise adequate. Used this Hotel as convenient and free parking on site.
Hotel was chosen by work as attending a training course nearby. Check in was good with friendly service. When I got to my room I thought I had walked into a broom cupboard it was so small. However, there was everything I needed for a comfortable nights sleep. Evening meal was good enough but took 2 hours for 3 courses to arrive.
My husband , teenage daughter and myself stayed here for 2 nights in one of the suites as we were attending a wedding. The staff were very friendly on arrival and we were very impressed with the fabulous suite we stayed in which was very large and comfortably furnished. The hotel and our room were spotlessly clean. Breakfast on both days was delicious and plentiful. The general manager was particularly friendly and went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. 10/10 , good value for money and we will definitely stay here again when we return.
Spent 2 nights at the hotel as a large group attending a wedding near by. The staff on arrival were welcoming and ensured that everyone could check in on arrival. They also provided details of places to eat close by as we were a very large group. The rooms were very nice and the suites had comfy beds and the bathroom had a great roll top bath and double walk in shower. The staff were great and couldn't help enough and breakfast both days was great. Will stay again when in the area.
Stayed here on business but would also recommend for a tourist base. Welcome was personal, a fabulous room with perfect linen on a very comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely touches with lighting and furniture reglect the period of this part of the country and the nearby village of Henley in Arden, a great destination in itself, never mind the attractions of Stratford and Warwick. Breakfast served from very early is great for business and leisure visitors alike. And good quality simple evening meals give a "home cooked" touch.
