Couple travelling for the first time in Helsinki. Found it on Booking with very good reviews and happy to have chosen it. Location: very good, 10 minutes away from Square market, Old market hall, Stockmann, Esplanada. Smarket accross the street and nonstop Kmarket 10 min away. Breakfast: simple, european, freshly baked bread every morning, not too big variety but for us was just enough. We didn't expect more and not felt the need to ask for more. No need to buy water, tap water is just fine. Staff: friendly, helpful, we felt like visiting old relatives Rooms: clean, spacious enough for couple holiday, soft beds I will check in again if ever in Helsinki.
Breakfast is amazing, and its not too crowded generally. The rooms are quite old but confortable. Its quite next to the harbour and deisgn district so you can easily walk anywhere. You can even walk to the tran station. Maybe there are cheaper hotels but you wont regret this one.
This hotel is a cracking hotel for a city break, the rooms are clean and tidy and have excellent powerful showers. The facilities in the hotel are great for the price. This hotel has a great little gym if that's your thing has everything you need to get a sweat going. The breakfast is good also and youre best heading down a bit later into sittings as it's much quieter, our group had zero complaints about the quality of the breakfast. The hotel is very central and close everything. The rooms have WIFI which is free and excellent. I'd recommend this hotel to people visiting Helsinki for a well priced place to stay.
At no fault of the hotel, it was difficult to get to the location due to street construction. Once there, we were able to park in their court yard and check in. Everything we wanted to see in Helsinki was within walking distance.
This hotel is a 15 minute leisurely walk from the train station and just south of the Esplanad and west of the harbour/Market Hall. Staff and service at reception could not be better; helpful, perfect English and friendly. Reasonable sized room with huge double bed . Adequate space for clothes etc and good bathroom facilities. Quiet - unless, as in all hotels, you have noisy people in adjacent room. Lift as well as stairs. Perhaps the most impressive buffet breakfast with an astonishing range of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and yogurts etc as well as hot food. Much labelled as lactose or gluten free. Croissants, pastries etc. Given the high cost of eating in Helsinki a substantial breakfast was a real and tasty bonus. Free ( unsecured) WiFi. Situated in a quiet street with our room overlooking the entrance courtyard.
You can walk to/from the ferry terminal, and the hotel is only 2 blocks from the Esplanade. It's a short walk to the market on the dock and to Senate Square. The breakfast is quite adequate and the environment is nice. The rooms are small, like most city hotels at this price, but still with space to get around and enough space in the bathroom. Rooms not on the street are very quiet for sleeping and I suspect the street is quiet at night. The staff was always willing to help and to answer our questions about Helsinki. It was a perfect choice for our vacation with everything within an easy walk.
Hotel is ok, very close to the city center and to the Harbor. Rooms clean enough, and the hotel is not on the road so the rooms are noiseless, good breakfast and kindness of the service people. Suggested for a couple of nights. Reliable wifi connection is available.
We stayed at this hotel for two days .. Rivoli Jarden is in a very good location, only few minutes walk to Old Market and shopping streets.Very friendly staff and excellent service . Fresh and delicious breakfast . I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends
Stayed at this hotel on business for a few days. The room size was adequate for 1-2 people and seemed to have been renovated recently. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Bathroom was functional and water pressure and temperature constant. There was no safe in the room, valuables need to be deposited at the registration desk. No ironing boards, but an ironing station in the basement. Both not critical, but perhaps important for business travellers. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect - very centrally located. Breakfast: choice was small but sufficient and tasted good. Some gluten and lactose-free options. I would recommend this hotel for tourists and for short business trips.
Rivoli Jarden is in an excellent location, only 5 minutes walk to Old Market Hall and tram #2 which reaching most attractions, 10 minutes walk to the Market Square where to take ferry to Fortress of Suomenlinna, 15 minutes walk to the Senate Square and Helsingfors Domkyrka, 15 minutes walk to Stockmann's Department Store. It serves free biscuits and breads at reception all day round and I have taken it as one of my dinner being too tired to go out after trip back from Tallinn. The staff is so nice that she packed me delicious sandwich breakfast when I had to go out at 6:00 am where the in-house breakfast starts at 8:00am. Highly recommended.
