The rooms were clean and simple updated a few years ago, but nothing fancy or to wow about but they did have soft pillows. My husband I stayed only overnight and had a nice experience. I liked their room thermostat worked great and the staff all around was super friendly. The business center I found was too noisey as it was right in the middle of the lobby with no real privacy so I ended up working in the back or the cafe at like a high bar stool area - much quieter. Breakfast was a nice variety.
This Fairfield Inn is a bit off of I-80 but a very nice place to stop for a night. If you're heading west on 80 you would need to take 81-S. There is also a Hampton Inn but it's $114 a night vs Fairfield Inn at $107. Pretty much same amenities too. Hampton Inn is a little more because of it's location having nice views from certain rooms. This Fairfield Inn is very clean, very friendly service and a good deal. Initially, when we walked into our room it smelled very strongly of air freshener and a pillow on our bed was left at the foot of the bed without a pillowcase on it. We called the front desk and the 2 girls at the desk immediately came up to see the way the room was left and offered us another room at a discount or a suite at the regular room rate. We took the suite since it has a work area and my husband often works from the road. The bed was very very comfortable and we had a great night sleep! We have been traveling I-80 from Ohio to east coast for over 25 years now and have stayed at many places along this route. I now keep notes on my phone as to where we should go back to, and this is on my list. The only reason I did not rate it 5 was because like most of these places that include breakfast, as much as I hate to say it, the "omelettes" were like rubber as was the turkey "sausage". Coffee was good and all in all, we did have a nice stay. Thank you, Sasha for your hospitality and friendliness last night. You were so friendly and so willing to make us feel comfortable. We really appreciated that. These days it's not easy to find such good customer service!
I need a clean, quiet comfortable room and that's what I got. Staff were cheerful and helpful, which is always great after a long day's drive. Breakfast was particularly good. However, I have to take a star off for the very slow wireless, at least in my room. For $4.95 I could buy faster speeds, but at the Marriott level I expect to be able to use the free service.
Nice clean hotel, friendly staff. Very fast stay, there less than 10 hours, did not see pool. Breakfast was nice and a decent selection. Easy highway access without having to listen to it. Convenient parking.
The Fairfield Inn in West Hazleton is one of the nicest I stay in regularly. The rooms are modern and always very clean and the staff has always been very helpful and attentive. There is a trophy case full of awards in the lobby that would indicate that this hotel has won numerous awards within its own industry. It's only a few minutes off I-81 and a few more minutes to I-80.
Excellent accommodations, clean room and amazing breakfast. The quality of hot and cold meets any restaurant quality. Melissa the GM supports excellent staff including Candice. The staff offers suggestions for dinner and Damons is yummy.
The front desk staff was fantastic (I wish I could remember their names). The pool and hot tub are nice. This is the place I continue to stay at every time I visit the area. Will be going back again soon. Room was clean, bed comfy.
I was a little skeptical at first with some of the reviews. I was quite surprised when we walked in, the lobby was clean, bright and updated. The clerk was very friendly and had us checked in under 5 mins. The room was extremely clean and did not have any weird smells. We had a new memory foam mattress. I don't like them but my husband loved it. The room wasn't too hot or too cold it was jusssssst RIGHT. Breakfast was the best part. A Marriott breakfast is just another Marriott breakfast, but this one tasted better the coffee wasn't as bitter and the sausage was perfect. What brought it all together was that the woman who was there to stock and make sure it all went well. Came up to us and asked us if everything was ok and it we were enjoying our breakfast. The breakfast area was clean and easy to move around in. Nice selection of bagles, breads and muffins. The eating area was large not cramped and TV not blaring. We stopped into the work out room to hop on a treadmill to stretch our legs before our next leg of the trip. Basic workout stuff but we appreciated it working and being there. Next time we'll try our the pool. The price was excellent, We used our points but I saw a coupon in book from the visting center for a GREAT RATE, So now to my nit picking. The bathroom is large but the sink is inside the bathroom I like the sink being outside so one can shower and the other be brushing teeth or what ever. The towel rack is above the toilet. If you forget to grab your towel, becareful I almost slipped and fell trying to grab it. The TV channels have a weird set up, for the life of me I couldn't find CNN. It was a very nice stay and I can't wait to go back.
This is a larger hotel than the "cookie cutter" Fairfield Inn footprint. The room was modern and very clean. Everything worked as it should. The breakfast was a highlight, not only in the food offerings but also the courtesy and friendliness of the staff as well as a spacious eating area. Front desk staff were wonderful as well. This hotel is very convenient located just a 1/4 mile off of Route 81 in Hazleton. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
Clean room and that was comfortable. Breakfast biscuits and gravy didn't taste right? The hot oatmeal and accompanying raisins, etc was great. Front desk workers were friendly and helpful. We got a great rate using the Hotel coupon flyer available at welcome centers. Damons restaurant is right across the parking lot- convenient.
