I was late checking in and they made everything ready for us.and it was quick.when we got to the room, it was clean. Water was a little brown for a while. But it had the basic needs and i was happy.I enjoyed staying there.
Very filthy! Bedspread was very dirty, had lot's of white spots on it. I Asked for a refund and big woman at the front desk said no refunds. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE! Keep driving and stay somewhere else.
Not much of a savings at $58.00 plus per night. Parking lot is a muddy disaster and very small. Check in was polite friendly and fast. Room was muggy hot and dark. Took well over an hr to cool off. Shower was Luke warm at best and water was very slow to drain meaning we stood in dirty bath water through the shower. People hanging outside all night so rest wasn't really an option. 9:45 am room svc BANGS on my door and asks me "Is You Stayen Hur ? Well I answered the door so I'm guessing yes ! According to my watch it's not 11am yet and I closed the door. Through the door I hear You Ain't Gotta Be So Fing Mean ! My wife was a key to hear it and she was clear across the room by the sink. I called the manager and they came to the room, confronted the house keeper in front of me on the side walk. After they left we took about 20 pic's so they can't say we ruined anything out of anger. We left and the rude maid walked str8 to our room. No surprise there.
Very happy with our stay. Loved the marble shower walls! Nice & clean. They were kind & friendly. When we are back this way we will stay again. Theyy have burger king, mcdonalds, wendys, waffle house close for eats.
I selected this hotel from 2012 reviews but what a mistake. If you like people sitting all over your car, party's going on till 2 am. Elephants in the room above and 2 year olds knocking on your door at 2 am then this is the place for you. After calling the office three times because of all the people outside sitting on my car I was able to go to sleep after 2 am when the small child knocked on my door. I called the office for the last time and requested my money back so I could leave because I was afraid. I was told no refunds. Look on your receipt it states NO REFUNDS. This is the hang out for the locals. Not only is the room disgusting the bed had a 8" dip in it. Bugs and hair in the bathtub. I as a single woman was afraid to leave my room. Don't stay here if you want any sleep or peace of mind. Oh, and they are not responsible for your auto if it get broken in too. If you are here on business....WiFi does not work either.
We visited Copiah County when our daughter began Teach for America in Hazlehurst. We didn't make a reservation ahead, because we wanted to "eyeball" the hotels available. I'm sure we would have found more upscale lodging in Jackson, but we wanted to be close by. The Western Inn Express caught our eye because it was busy, usually a good sign. Check in was easy, the price was right ($58 for one night, 2 double beds). The air conditioner worked fine, the TV too. The bathroom was not so great, but again adequate for a one night stay. The shower didn't drain well, so the tub was slick (no treads). The towels were cheap, but did the job. There was a continental breakfast, but by the time we went down on Sunday morning at 9:15 it was gone. We hadn't planned to eat there anyway. Overall, I wouldn't want to vacation here, but the facilities are fine. It was clean, no bugs, and the other guests were quiet.
my overall experience was ok but definitly not satisfied.. i stayed here for 2 days with my family and when i was checking for hotels i was informed that this was a great one to choose from. the first night here was wonderful staff was great mylastnight here was horrible.. there were guest who had children upstairs and let them run around and wouldnt control them and then right next door there was a couple arguing nonstop for hours on in and when we called the front desk to complain they did nothing so we had to continue to call... they still did nothing finally at midnight we CALL and they say do you want to change rooms? 1st we have kids sleeping why should we change rooms because u wont do yoour job and 2nd why would we want to stay here again? it is not our plaace to go tell these people to stop arguing were supposed to let the office know and they take care of it but they didnt... so overall this hotel experience was horrible because the staff on third shift was to lazy to keep there guest happy and coming back they would rather lose money and that is exactly what i am doing.. the next time i come to mississippi i wont stay here and i recommend other people not to stay here either
I stayed at this motel when I was visiting one of my friends. I stayed for 3 nights and the room was comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful, and my room was cleaned everyday, and all in all it served its purpose.
We were travelling after about 19 hours in the car and stopped at this hotel. They said it was their last room available and charged about $80. We were so tired and went right to the room. It was terrible. The fridge had mold in it. The pillows didn't even take up 1/2 of the pillowcase, they were like lumps. The toilet had something brown and sticky looking all over the seat. And the beds were rock solid. We immediately packed up and went to a hotel on the other side of the street.
Our family was looking for an affordable overnight en route to New Orleans. The Western Inn Express at I-55, Exit 61 in Hazlehurst, MS was just the ticket. $64.10 without a reservation at 7 pm at night. Great location: near KFC, McDonalds, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Sonic, Wal-Mart. Two-story, outside corridor and covered (but outdoor) stairs at a motel with some loud patrons. There was a seasonal pool (still covered in mid-March). The room had a small microwave, refrigerator, comfortably soft beds, soap and shampoo, medium quality sheets and a stingy amount of low-quality towels. It was clean; we slept and left. Good value. The only thing I'd forewarn others about is the alarming blue paint on the walls. Very odd.
