Just dont go. Awful place. Very dirty. Some of the outside doors don't work so you have to walk around. Bugs in rooms. I can deal with some dirty places for a cheep rate bit this was gross. Brown water. All in all I just didn't feel safe or clean. I was denied a refund. When I asked for a managers business card he didn't want to give it to me. When he finally agreed to give her phone number he wrote it on a post it. The manager hung up on me several times with no call back. I then emailed with no response.
Let me start by saying I've never posted a negative review in 15 years of traveling regularly. This property looks fine from the outside and the inside looks ok too until you look close and notice lack of cleanliness. The manager (Camille King) works behind the desk also and it took her a half hour to check me in (even though I was the only one there). After charging my card she announces there is no cable (claimed it was due to a storm that I found out had been over a week earlier). When I asked about wi-fi in rooms she said it was available in the lobby but not all rooms. Then she said that there might be cable in a couple of rooms. I asked her to find one with cable and she left and returned with the announcement that she had found one. So, I go to the room and it's ok but door is hard to get in and out of because of placement of a cabinet. The toilet seat was only holding on by one bracket and didn't flush properly. I went to the office and asked for an ice bucket and the manager (Camille King) said she would have call someone to get me one and bring it to my room. I stayed 4 days and never got an ice bucket! The second day the lights in my room didn't work. I reported it to Camille King and she said maintenance was gone and I would have to wait til the next day. NO ONE EVER CAME TO FIX THE LIGHTS!!! 4 DAYS!!! Granted this was a very low priced motel but it seems that the manager doesn't think customer service is important. MY ADVICE, STAY HERE ONLY IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD ANYTHING ELSE! Oh, yes and breakfast is only available on Sat.& Sun.
This place is the most nastiest place ever to stay mole everywhere bad house keeping and most of all the most rude and hateful people ever working here Camile king is the most rudest up tight bitter old woman in the world come for a visit and end up in jail she is the wrong person to have tryn to run a business people please find some where else to stay
Booked online to arrive and be refused online booking. No refund! Was still charged as I had been driving for 16 hours. Checked into room that was dirty someone has slept in bed. Security doors all broken. construction everywhere! dirty hallways dirty rooms brown water no breakfast no internet. seem they only want money and do not invest to improve the property. DONOT STAY here go down to other hotel same rate cleaner and nicer rooms.
First of all my reservations for three rooms was canceled without notice. Second of all this place should Be closed during renovation. 1. No towels 2.No tissue 3.No hot water or water 4.house keeping didn't clean the rooms 5. The keys work in almost all the doors And the staff accused my girls for stealing towels and they tried to put us out. Front service is ridiculous. I will not stay at this place never again it's horrible. I wasted almost 400 dollars on a ridiculous hotel
Under remodel. Dark, awful. It took 10 minutes for anyone to come to the desk. They did not have the 2 beds that they confirmed. Horrible experience. Stay away.. Dirty, dark, disgusting, I do not know why they are remodeling, they should just tear it down!
This motel was the worst. Keys didn't work . No elevator. No toilet paper in room. The next morning found out there were no towels. Called front desk. No answer. Called again they said they would bring some towels. I ended up drying off with the bed sheet. Spoke to front desk on the way out she turned and walked away from me. Horrible customer service.
Wow. Not going to spend too much time on this review because it is highly unlikely this place will be open long enough to be helpful to anyone. No elevator, no towels in room, no electricity in room, door keys don't work, nasty people living in rooms long-term and getting into violent domestic disputes, no continental breakfast other than cereal and milk... no coffee, and obvious water damage which suggests mold issues. This place was literally the worst. The... WORST!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE this place was horrible!!!!! Don't know how it recieves 1 star. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. The room was filthy! I paid for 3 nights thru a third party,, once I got to the room my key would not open the door. Then some random guy walks up and opens the door with his key. I immediately left and took my money as a lost and checked in to another hotel.
To whom it may concern, I reserved (and paid for) a room through a third party booking agency for a room at the Magnuson Hotel Hattiesburg on the night of June 20th. When we arrived at the Magnuson Hotel at 11:30 pm, my husband walked past one employee smoking cigars at the Hotel's entrance, to be met at the front desk by an extremely rude second employee who informed us that since I didn't book the room through the hotel directly I didn't have a valid reservation. No explanation, no apology, no offer to help make other arraignments, nothing. We were left to frantically search for a room elsewhere in the middle of the night, on Fathers Day weekend. When Travelocity (the company I reserved through) tried to contact a representative with Magnuson Hotel Hattiesburg that same night, nobody at the front desk would answer the phone. I am left with only faint hope that your hotel will at least admit they turned us away so that I can be reimbursed for the reservation. I am so very disappointed. To be treated so poorly is simply wrong. I have little faith that the "new management" you are advertising will bring about any of the positive changes you were undoubtedly hoping for. I will never return and will strongly discourage anyone else from staying at any Magnuson Hotel in the future. Sincerely, Mr and Mrs XXXX XXXXX
