More 'Guest House' than Hotel

Enjoyed our stay... Overall great service, cleanliness and comfort... nothing too much trouble for the Staff or to trouble us... BUT... fair to say it is more a Guest House than Hotel... Great Breakfast but lacked Dining option, although there was a Bar with limited opening times... we did not partake so cannot comment.

Lovely old building in quiet location. Unusually, was able to book a single room which helps keep costs down when travelling solo. Although compact, it had everything needed for a stopover and was attractively decorated and spotlessly clean.

Another very pleasant stay. Friendly, very accommodating staff, clean, very quiet room, everything need for an away stay was provided. Has on site parking and is walking distance to town. Highly recommend.

Traditional English breakfast cooked to order and served direct to your table. Loved this as so often nowadays , hotels just offer buffet style breakfast. Very convenient location ; 2 minute walk to the Conference Centre, 5 minutes to restaurants and shops

Lovely 2 night stay here! Perfect location for walking to town, theatre, train station (easy train to Knaresborough or York for the day), Convention Centre and Valley Gardens. Great staff, breakfast and welcome. Would definitely stay stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely place

Only here for on night as a solo traveller, but I couldn't be more happy with my choice. Daniel in reception was very welcoming and personable. I "only" had a single room, but the bed was super comfy, the bathroom spotless and the room at just the right temperature. Breakfast was included, and whilst I chose a small one, there was plenty of choices - all prepared to order

Wow! What a gem of a place! We stopped here as seeing Jimmy Carr at the convention centre, which is less than 5 mins walk to there. Upon arrival welcomed by a lady to give us the room key, as we checked in online the day before she upgraded our room and it was perfect! Huge room, lovely and clean and it’s a beautiful surroundings. The bed was extremely comfy, the bathroom was huge and a lovely area infront of the bay windows to sit and look out on the quiet leafy streets. The breakfast the following morning was lovely and very filling. We checked out and asked if we were able to park on the street while we spent the day in Harrogate, she told us we were able to stay in the carpark which was very nice of her, The carpark is small but had no bother parking. Excellent hotel , beautiful area and great stay. Would definitely recommend and would would if were we to come Harrogate again.
