We had a really nice stay. Friendly staff, fresh welcome juice upon arrival, good breakfast to choose among a variety of options on a menu. Confortable, spacious, clean and quiet room (despite being in the old quarter which is very noisy - but also the perfect location). We recommend.

Friendly staffs , hotel is nice room with the view of the alley. It’s closed to many shopping areas, restaurants, and many other good food in Hanoi. High recommend to anyone to stay here Just 5 minutes walk to the Hoan Kiem Lake

The hotel was very welcoming and we had a lovely spacious air conditioned room which was essential considering the temperature outside. The breakfast was really enjoyable with plenty of choice, any hot food was freshly cooked. The staff in the Hotel reception were excellent and always available to suggest how to get to places and help with any unexpected problems. Nice and quiet at night, the noise of the daytime ends mid evening. Good location for walking to shops, tourist attractions etc. An excellent feature offered by the hotel was collection and return by car to the airport. Quite a few steps up to the front door which may be a problem for some people but a lift in the hotel is very efficient.

First of all the hotel is located on a silent street without any noise heard from outside at all. I was really surprised to hear nothing during the days, or nights when there were no neighbors on my floor. Also the breakfast is very welcoming and so nice service also very tasty, i enjoyed every breakfast again and again. The breakfast staff was very pleasant and unforgettable. The reception staff was also very pleasant and very very nice. The room itself was great and cozy. Got free sleepers, all the stuff you need like shaving, comb, tooth brush paste, shower cap... bath, safety box, free water each day.. everything you need. One disappointment was when the neighbors on my floor came in the evening and I was hearing literally everything they're doing. If this hotel improves the sound isolation in the rooms, it's a perfect one by all means!! Thank you for warm welcoming, please fix the sound isolation.

I would love to thank all the staff of Serene hotel.Best experienced ever.So helpful, friendly staff.Special thanks to Jenny.Wonderful lady who help me all the way.Definitely will see you all again.❤miss you all

We stayed here for 5 nights and the experience was awesome. It easily exceeded our expectations. Jenny helped us to book cruise for Ha Long bay with all the options we wanted. They also gave a good overview of the places to visit, arranged vehicles, gave directions and happy helping hand with a smile! Rooms & bathrooms were very clean, functional and with all amenities inside. Breakfast was good, with all the basic needs. Staff are super friendly and wanting to help at all times, very accommodating. Hotel is right in the middle of old quarter, walkable to all nearby tourist spots. Very highly recommended; for the price they charge and the service they give; it is totally worth.

I came to Hanoi first time 2 years ago and stayed here. This time I chose to come back as it was a good decision based on my experience. The room is a bit old but the facilities are acceptable to me. Hot shower, comfortable bed, nice wall decoration pictures, safe box, and ever responsive staff. What more can a traveller want? Ah, the staff is still friendly, helpful, and always willing to help. Most of them are new faces but they do their level best to assist. There's Rooney who's always willing to help. Ms Ha attended to my room small requests and appointments promptly. She's knowledgeable about the Old Quarter places of interest and took the time to explain to me where to go. She recommended me a local dish, Cha Ca that's reasonably priced but tasty (ngon). Sang still whips up a good omelette and my favourite Vietnamese black coffee in the morning in the restaurant downstairs. Ms Jenny is also very helpful and attentive to guest needs. She makes everyone feels comfortable to stay there. However, the highlight of this post is your superstar staff, Ms Suzy. She's the one who made the arrangments, took care of me, provided information, and constantly checked in with me to see if everything is in order. After my last visit in 2017, I always refer people to Serene whenever i have the opportunity and my brother was the latest one. I belive the Serene team especially Suzy will take care of my friends and family well. I wasn't disappointed as Suzy took care of everything for him and his partner from accomodation, airport transfer, tour, and making sure they have a comfortable stay the first time in Hanoi. My brother and his partner is very happy with her and Serene team. Even after Suzy left employment at Serene, she made sure i have the best room rates and arranged for seamless airport taxi back. She helped me save wherever possible by giving options; some places by foot, some by taxi, some by Grab. Even when i check-out on 22/9/2019, she took the trouble to make sure i have all the information of my airport taxi and even found the best price for me. She made calls and arrangements without me needing to follow up and reminding. I can travel with peace of mind as i can rely on her 100%. Keep in mind she left employment about a week ago and didn't need to do this. Alas, despite the fantastic service, it's less likely for me to return to Serene the next time I visit Hanoi as Ms Suzy is no longer with them. Anyone who can hire her, I hope she's treated and compensated well. It's not an easy job taking care of people. tôi yêu Việt Nam. hẹn gặp lại lần sau. Kenny Lee September 2019

This hotel is very centrally located in the Old Quarter. Ha, at reception, is fantastic and attentive. She recommended a great day trip to Ninh Binh and got us a really price with the tour company. She made sure we were well looked after, both in the hotel, as well as visiting around and prices for fruits and souvenirs we wanted to buy. Sang was also very friendly and helpful, making our breakfast very delicious and delightful. The hotel is in a great location, close to the lake, beer corner, train street and easy walking distance (if you can put up with the crazy traffic) to Ho Chi Minh Moseleum and Hoa Lo Prison. There is a lively street market on the lane which is a good authentic, local experience. The slight downside is that the hotel is a bit dated. That said it is still very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff, especially Ha and Sang are lovely, helpful and made our stay very comfortable.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. Everything was arranged really well beforehand. The service staff were attentive, responded to our emails promptly, helped us arrange a day tour to Ha Long Bay, had smooth airport transfers and the check in and check out processes were seamless. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and a nice cold towel paired with a refreshing drink. Our room was clean, well stocked with toiletries, a safe, a mini fridge / bar, and complimentary bottles of mineral water and fruits that were provided daily. The bed and pillows very comfortable. The location is fantastic. We basically walked everywhere. It’s near tons of local eateries, shops, spas and convenience shops. Breakfast was good as well. We could pick two mains from the menu as well as two drinks (a coffee and a juice, typically). The main thing to highlight is the commendable service and attention given by the staff - they are always there to greet you with a smile, to ask you how your day went, and are happy to give you recommendations on places to visit. They really would go the extra mile for every guest. The service here is truly exceptional and you will feel very well taken care of!

This is the first review I’ve ever taken the time to write on any hotel. The staff here is friendly and very courteous. They take the time to make sure you are very comfortable and that you have a good time in Hanoi. Ms Ha is the absolute best. She gave a lot of good recommendations and is friendly to the max. She arranged a food tour for me and explained the best ways to go around the city in a safe manner.
