We stayed here in hanoi whilst visiting. Upon arrival staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff helped us get SIM cards, suggested places to eat and places to go when we asked. The breakfast was tasty and they cleaned our rooms everyday, as well as providing two bottles of free water. All I all’s pleasant stay at a great price, £15 including vat a night!
The room initially allotted to us had two big cockroaches coming out of the toilet drain, ants on the floor, and lizard on the toilet wall. When we complained about the pests in the room, the front desk staff told us that the pests are harmless and it's fine and are found everywhere. The callous attitude of the staff towards hygiene and cleanliness was really disappointing. They shifted us to a new room which was much better. The rooms were not serviced daily. The juice container used for breakfast was not washed daily and we could see the dried juice stains on it the next day also. I think the hotel needs to pay more attention to hygiene.
Helios Legend is the best hotel. Hotel is located in the central, close to shops , restaurants and beer corner. We loved foods at the breakfast restaurant. Front desk staff always try the best, and exactly the same hotel slogan : Bring happiness to your stay .Hotel staff arrange the best tour to Halong bay, with everything we happy.
I’ll keep this quick. As soon as you enter the lobby you are greeted by a pungent smell of wet walls and fungus. The whole place looks unkept, and old. The room was nothing like the pictures. It was small and dirty. It had a window out to the main hallway, and not the street. There were hairs in our bed and small bugs crawling on the walls and on the bed post. The hotel is located right next to a club, as many other reviewers have written. The club bass was so loud and we could hear the DJ yelling until almost 4AM from our room. We had booked 2 nights but instantly cancelled the following morning. We complained the first night but they couldn’t provide us with a new room. The staff was kind to give us back the money for the second night though, and we moved to another hotel. Avoid this place, there are so many other good places to find in Hanoi.
This is a good budget hotel. The room was a little small but OK. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Wifi in the room was an issue, most of the time the signal was weak. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The Helios Legend Hotel is nice with a good free breakfast but the staff is the beat part. They are so nice and helpful! They helped us book our transportation to the airport and moved all our bags when we had to change rooms because we booked on 2 separate reservations
We had a great one night stay after getting back into town from HaLong. The hotel is located closer to the HoChiMinh park side of the old quarter and is an easy walk to sites on that side of town. Breakfast is great and the staff arranged a car to the airport for cheap. Our only complaint was the WiFi in the room did not work very well, but that’s more time to enjoy the balcony overlooking the markets from your room...
Helios hotel was very good due to the location. It provided easy access to the Hanoi old quarter, containing the majority of the food and shopping stalls that we visited. As for the accommodation, the room was of adequate size, best described as cosy, but depending on the room does not have a window. This did not detract from the visit as our focus was getting out and about. The staff were fantastic and the room met all the requirements for our stay in Hanoi.
Hotels is good for a budget hotel, breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful. Great location can walk to lots of things, Lake, Church, Night Markets and train street are all very close. Room cleaned every day and spacious.
It is old and dirty that advertised. 2.5-3 stars level at best. The location is in the busy, commercial street and very noisy even after midnight. The breakfast buffet is included but the food is just okay and not as good as expected/ advertised. Our suit case lock was tampered the first day, but we did not loose any thing. We will not return to this hotel again in the future...
