The hotel is a little hard to find 'cause it located in an alley and there is a street, which has same name. You need to read the address carefully to avoid the misunderstanding. And that's the only problem we had. Hotel' staffs are nice, friendly and always catch up with our needs. They even gave us a free upgrade (from Standard into Superior) for the first time staying with them as a welcome gift. Room is cozy, clean and neat. Especially, the hotel has elevator (which quite hard to find in most of hotels in old quarter). And another surprise is the room has computer, very convenient if you have work to do. Front desk can arrange tour for you if you need, one thing I love at this hotel is that they don't try to sell tours for guests. Receptionist can recommend many places in Hanoi you can go by yourself or a good restaurant near by etc. I definitely come back when have chance.
My company booked this hotel for me and each time I stayed nearly 1 week. They often arranged room without window until I requested. This time, they received other booking and put me out even My company reserved in advance and paid. They put me in a room without water, cabinet without handle. That is very disappointed. They don't care you are loyalty or not. So beautiful!
The hotel is located inside Ngo Sy Lien market. If you order a taxi or grab/uber, you can note the pick-up address is No. 20 Ngo Sy Lien - it is very near and easy to find. The room is very clean, not too small and not too big. All the facility (television, shower, air conditioner,...) is brand new and modern. Especially, though it is a standard room, there is a provided desktop computer inside. The bed is soft and very comfortable; it is big and fits well 1-2 adults. The toilet is clean too, there is shower and bathtub and many towels that are renewed daily. Moreover, the location is pretty convenient: nearby restaurants or food shops, Hanoi Train Station, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Lenin Park, etc. If you enjoy going on foot with short distance, this hotel is one of best choices. The complimentary breakfast here is decent and diversified with Pho (beef or chicken - Hanoi's traditional cuisine), English breakfast and good drinks. It was so nice that I was offered free fruits for dessert in three consecutive days! Another impressive aspect is the staff! They are so hospitable, helpful and polite. I was so grateful to the man who offered to open the door and guided me to the hotel despite my late arrival at 3:00AM in the morning. Highly appreciated! I also truly appreciate the training scheme of Hotel View 2 since it ensures that all of the staff (from receptionist, cleaner, room-service staff, errand, etc..) are professional and always endeavor to satisfy their customers, even in any minor demanding request. The receptionists always ask us whether we slept tight or not the previous nights, which is characteristic of their good customer service. All in all, upon your trip to a boisterous and ancient city like Hanoi, with tidied room, state-of-the-art facility, accommodating staff, and ideal location, Hotel View 2 is highly recommended and will surely satisfy your needs. P/s The hotel has a nice aquarium with cute and "naughty" fish that are always stay energetic and overexcited once there is anyone staying closer to their "house". How lovely! :)
Spend one night here with the family (two kids). Our family room was not available any more (people before us wanted to stay an extra day) so they gave us two double rooms. Rooms were clean. Staf was really helpfull and friendly (we could store our luggage in the early morning, they prepared a take-away breakfast and arranged taxi).
This hotel seems too good to be true for the small price you pay. The rooms are spotless, large, comfortable. The shower was fantastic with both high pressure and warm temperature. The staff on reception are friendly and accommodating and speak fantastic English. The only thing that is slightly different to the description is the distance from the lake - it is definitely a 15 minute walk for fast walkers not 3 but this didn't bother us. Thank you for a lovely stay!
I booked this hotel on a cheap last minute deal, just to have somewhere to leave my bags and have a rest after the overnight train. It was so nice I ended up staying instead of going back to my other hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. The hotel is located in the middle of a local market, which makes access a bit harder, but my taxi to the airport did manage to sqeeze through. It does make it easy to go out and grab some street food for dinner. Very close to where the train leaves for Sapa, and to the Temple of Literature.
Decided on this hotel as we headed to Sapa on the second day we arrived in VN and didn't want to faff around with taxis. The hotel is located right in the middle of the wet markets which was graet for us as we could purchase local snacks and drinks quite cheaply - the pho shop across the laneway is fabulous by the way. FYI for families - there are no interconnecting rooms available in this hotel (they said they did but it's two rooms adjacent to each other, we had young kids so this was a problem, if you have older teenage kids then no problem) We got rooms on level 5 so it was very quiet, especially with the windows closed. All the furnishings etc were very nice and new. We didn't have breakfast here so can't comment but as I said the wet markets were fabulous. It's literally around the corner from Tran Quy Cap (where all the Sapa trains stop and start) so it's great when you arrive back into Hanoi at 0430. Conveniently located near hotel A25 which has a GIGANTIC neon sign on its rooftop in case you're a bit sleepy. You can also rent a room for a couple of hours if you need to - we did that as arrived into Hanoi at 0430 and waiting for a tour to start at 1000. Nice to have a place to have a shower and a snooze.
We booked this hotel as it was one of the cheapest options available and we only needed a room for a night before heading to Sapa. It surpassed every expectation I had! If you arrive at night, the street is very empty and looks a bit unsettling but once you go in, the hotel staff and the rooms are excellent. It had one of the best bathrooms of any hotel we stayed in (mostly 4 and 5 star) and was very comfy room wise too. In the morning, the street gets crowded very early so be prepared for some Street noise but we were up early anyway so it didn't affect us.
On a side street close to the railway station, in the middle of a street market. An excellent room with a good breakfast. It is a pleasant walk to city center, or a 60,000 to 80,000 cab ride ($3.50 usd). 9 floors with 3 rooms per floor. Staff speaks very good English and are very helpful. A good family venue, or a romantic getaway. I have been a business traveler for years when spending $100 to $250 per night was the norm. Now I'm finding great value in venues like this, not missing the corporate world at all. I highly recommend this place. Now one bit of caution, if traveling from the railway station some cabs will take you on a city tour to raise the fare, it will, cost about 100,000 but not a bad option for a first time visitor. You can walk it, but unless you know exactly how to get here, not recommended. Airport transportation is $50 usd, fixed price.
This place is situated at a great location!! And the staff are very friendly and helpful. Since we didn't get the superior room the day we checked it, we were given standard room but then later we were upgraded to deluxe room which was great. the food was good. There is not much of a view from the balcony. But it is a great hotel if you are looking for simply sleeping comfortably and not worrying much about the space and other luxury. They do give soaps, brush, tooth paste, comb and towels!! Thanks for hosting us. I would definitely recommend this place.
