Simple small hotel for a short stay, close to the road, especially if you are hitting Niagara falls. Ac is noisy in the room swimming pool if can be named is filthy. Breakfast is in the lobby run by a franchised company, the style is same as a cheap coffee shop. you have to wait your turn to be served, and you may get late because it is too slow to have your order.
We arrived quite weary on a Friday evening after a long day of driving. Maggie, the young woman at reception could not have been more welcoming. I recently purchased Marriott e-gift card and we wanted to apply this towards the room charge. She wasn't exactly certain how to process the transaction but was not deterred. She kept on trying and never made us feel that this was a bother or hassle. After about 5 minutes, she prevailed with a smile on her face. She helpfully offered suggestions where to have dinner and a quick breakfast the next day. And, when we checked out the next morning, she was back at her post as cheerful as ever. It's rare to see staff with this "can-do" attitude and I'm certain she will advance beyond the reception desk! She's a true asset! And, the room was comfortable and well appointed. We wished we'd had time to enjoy the pool and exercise area but this was a very short visit.
My wife is collecting Marriott points and we decided to stay at this hotel for a long weekend. To make it brief: I liked hotels at Waterloo (Delta Hotel) and at Niagara Falls (Courtyard Marriott) much more. This one is lacking in each and every department: the room is not exactly clean and is a relatively small one, customer service does not deem it necessary to say "hi" and smile, not a prime location albeit convenient for those who need a shuttle to the airport. Liked their Bistro though.
Nice and quiet place. The rooms are quite clean and spacious while the bed linen are very white and clean. Easy connection to the road. The check in process is quite fast and simple and the staff I related with were helpful
we attended a meeting at the Courtyard and were very surprised to learn that the bar area did not open before 5 pm. the second disappointment being that my wife ordered a lime marquerita which the staff could not provide as they ran out of lime mix. as this weekend was a holiday break for us and my wife seldom orders an alcoholic drink, she really wanted to enjoy the start of a long weekend. this place did not have that hospitality feel with staff walking around but not interactive with guests and visitors.
I arrived late and my reservation was handled efficiently and professionally. The room was well prepared and access to internet and other services was well explained and operated to my expectations. I worked from my room until 10:30 a.m. and was able to handle business calls without disruption etc.
Our stay at the Courtyard Hamilton was the last night of our trip to NY for our daughter's wedding, and it was a very eventful one! We arrived and were very happy with the hotel and the cost per night. Unfortunately, during the night the fire alarm went off and the fire department came to the hotel but things were straightened out quickly. The hotel gave us a 50% discount for our trouble for which we were very grateful. All in all, would absolutely stay there again as it was a beautiful building and the staff were wonderful.
Visiting the property it is hard to believe it has been open for eleven years and received it's last update four years ago! The interior looks brand new including the public areas and rooms. The operator of this Courtyard must set very high standards as I have rarely seen a Courtyard property as well maintained. Even better, the staff are amazingly helpful with dining suggestions, directions on how to navigate the urban jungle of Hamilton with its " mountain" and general good spirits. No wonder the airlines use it for their flight crews! This is a hotel that has its mission as making travelling easier.
Rooms were great, beds were nice, pillows were great and room size was wonderful. Not tiny; room to move around. Pool and hot tub were operational. Very nice hotel and would stay here again. Cons' No microwave in room, no bathroom fan however made do with microwave in main lobby if needed to. Would of preferred a continental breakfast vs the onsite restaurant but made do with buying my own stuff for breakfast and eating in room.
Not what I expected in a room product from Marriott brand. Disappointed in room for sure. However, breakfast and dinner service was excellent. No microwave even though website said there was one. Pay for water as elite member???
