Was a very nice, clean well maintained hotel. Our suite had a full kitchen with range, micro over and dishwasher as well as full size refrigerator. All sts in good condition, granite counters and a whirlpool bath in the master. I would highly recommend this location if you travel Hamilton.
My husband and I stayed one night. We had tried the Homewood across the street last time, so we desided to try this one. It's a nice hotel. Very clean. Room was smaller than the Homewood. Awkward bathroom setup (small area for shower and toilet). Very nice free hot breakfast in the morning. Underground parking was nice, but small. During busy times it would fill fast and you'd have to park across the street. Overall a very nice hotel (but Homewood across the street is a little bit nicer). Very friendly staff.
We were in a Studio on the 3rd floor, facing an inner courtyard. It was quiet. The kitchen amenities are perfect. Full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, pans, even a pitcher to make juice. A pack of complimentary microwave popcorn and a bowl in the cupboard to put it in pleased my husband to no end. TV is small-ish Samsung flat screen that can move to point to couch or bed. Nightstands are on both sides of bed, which great, as it is no longer a given in hotels and yet both of us need them! The bed only has sheets on it but we found a blanket in the closet and the thermostat was set in the 70’s so Room was warm and we were comfortable. Desk has ergonomic chair. Closet has normal (removable) hangers which are so much easier to use! Many plugs in convenient places are a real win! Breakfast had a good variety of savory and sweet, healthy and indulgent. Dark and mild roast coffee and good quality teas. Parking is secured, underground and convenient, though it’s an extra $12. Convenient location for FirstOntario concerts/shows.
My friends and I have had a reservation for two rooms at the Staybridge for our upcoming Around the Bay race for several months. This weekend, less than two weeks before the race, we were informed they are canceled. While we were told it was because some long stay guest wants to extend their stay, we're quite sure they just want to grab more money from racers in town that weekend. We were given a list of alternative hotels but of course, this close to the event, there is nothing available. Don't book here - they will leave you in a lurch!!
Stayed here for 2 nights in late February. Room was a bit smaller than expected, but was glad to have the full fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast included in the room rate was quite good. We had forgotten to bring a shower cap and expected the hotel to be able to provide us with one, but they do not carry them. My biggest complaint would be the quality of paper products - both in the bathroom and the kitchen. "Paper" is exactly what they were - the cheapest, hardest I have ever experienced in a hotel.
I stayed here for two nights. My 7th floor room was pristine and new. Everything about the room was in excellent condition. After talking to others in my group, not all rooms are like this (I was in 713) so you might want to ask when you book. Parking was right under the building and easily accessed - Price for parking was pretty good for a downtown hotel. The location is central and within walking distance of many attractions. The room had a full size fridge, stovetop and dishwasher. The shower was good - hot water and good pressure. The bed was comfortable and the TV was good. Temperature was easily adjusted and heating was quiet. The breakfast in the morning was very good - decent coffee, eggs, toastable things, waffles, cereal. I would recommend this place.
The room at the Staybridge Hamilton Downtown was excellent. Bed was firm with sufficient soft top for a perfect sleep. Bathroom was fine. The room was sufficiently spacious; its design seemed elegant and lighting made the room feel peaceful. I skipped breakfast due to meetings, so can't comment on that. But I would hesitate to stay here again. The wonderful room was a contrast to the almost scary area around the hotel. It was made worse by the confusing method of checking in. The arrival parking is ambiguous (at least, it was for me at 9pm). All doors are locked, so you need to press a buzzer which notifies front desk located on a different floor to let you in. As others have noted, the indoor parking is very limited, and the overflow is in an open parking lot nearby. The wifi internet was disappointing (at 10pm, it was less than 2mbps both up and down, among the worst I've experienced at a IHG hotel).
We stayed here for the first time and were very impressed. The room and amenities were well above average and the staff was friendly, welcoming and efficient. The inclusive breakfast was the best we've had at a hotel and the dinner which was included was excellent. e will certainly return
We've stayed here several times when visiting family. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. The hotel is well-maintained and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Although there is a charge if staying in the secure garage, it is worth the small expense for the ease of access to the hotel.
The room was clean and had a kitchenette which was nice. The bed was okay also but this hotel is not anything to write home about. The complimentary breakfast was not very good, in fact the food was terrible.
