I have never experienced such a pathetic stay in a hotel in the world. Let’s start by the positive points: The complimentary breakfast, the toiletries, and the people at the registration desk and staff serving the breakfast, and the walk in shower and the bathroom. The negative points: Lousy cleaning and housekeeping. I arrived in a suite where there was no coffee maker despite 2 coffee pouches and 4 Red Rose tea bags. Called the desk and they brought me a 10 cup unclean coffeemaker. These coffee pouches make 2 cups of coffee, not 10 cups. I was unable to make coffee, hopefully there is a Tim Horton’s nearby but is it no practical. Second, there were no lamps on the 2 nightstands and the is AC so noisy that I was almost unable to sleep. That room was so dark, frightening. I complained and the staff brought me 2 lamps ( see the picture) dirty lamps. The cleaning staff did not empty garbage bin in the kitchen, on day 2 my towels were not changed. The mattress ( see picture) is disgusting. I am now wondering if they change the linens between customers. This is a very noisy hotel located in an unsafe neighbourhood especially for women. Do not walk at dusk or at night unless accompanied. There is no restaurant in the hotel and you have to eat out or call in for dinner. The furniture looks like it has been purchased at a second hand store. Cheap furniture ( see the desk lamp), unclean nightstand lamp, unclean mattress ( see the picture), bad odour in the room that seems to emanate from the carpet, towels not changed, garbage not removed, and no glasses to drink. I recommend to stay away from this place.

Just recently visited Hamilton for the first time and stayed in downtown location of Staybridge Suites instead of just passing through. I really enjoy their location close to pretty much everything. Suites are adequately appointed, with separate room for bedroom, you can tell that everything is designed for handicapped person in mind as it is spacious and with plenty of support bars installed. Parking in complimentary underground parking could be a problem if you are checking in late, but there is a plenty of space in lot next to hotel. If you have larger vehicle - getting out of underground parking could be a challenge, so just park in lot outside and don’t bother trying the other one. Maybe it is just me but I think there might be a good idea to call in service to look at the elevators. I think they are literally screaming for attention... Complimentary breakfast selection in dining room located on second floor is adequate. Coffee is great. Also next to dining room is a patio which is very nicely appointed, and on nice sunny day eating breakfast or drinking coffee there is just like being on your deck at home... Will definitively stay there again! AK

An "extended stay hotel" is defined by meeting your requirements to be a second home. The room, or suite, should be equipped to allow you to live as you would in your own home. Staybridge Suites in Hamilton exceeded my expectations; in fact, I struggled to see how they could improve. If, when I registered, the staff would have offered to send ice and fresh cream to my room, I would have been blown away. Had there been a better chef's knife in the room, I would have elected to cook dinner, rather to eat out. The kitchen has a glass cook top, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave (no oven). It also has dishes, cutlery, cooking tools, pots, pans, mixing bowls, serving dishes and containers for left overs. There's dish detergent and dishwasher detergent, kitchen towels and hot pads. The room was actually decorated much like my wife decorates, with warm earth tones, stainless steel appliance, glass block back splash and stone counter tops. In addition to an iron (which I rarely use) there's a laundry basket. I loved the walk-in shower, lots of pillows and comfy couch. Great work, guys!!!

4.5 out of 5 stars... Absolutely loved the large size of the room. I had the 1 bedroom suite and you could fit 2 normal sized hotel rooms in it. Breakfast was hearty and enjoyable. Modern rooms and great location. Staff was nice enough. The "market" was not well stocked... did not have a good selection of snacks and drinks. Another minor thing... the parking garage gets full if you get in late. I was forced to park in the lot across the street which was felt very unsafe at 11PM... the machine is really worn out and I ended up paying $12 then charged another night of parking by the hotel.

The bed was SUPER comfortable. Bathroom was very nice and I loved having the kitchen area. A full size fridge makes a huge difference. Ac was very loud coming on and off, startled me awake a few times. Pool was ice cold so my daughter didn’t swim despite looking forward to it all week. Not enough seating around the pool. Breakfast was delicious! Loved the waffle area. Bit into a shell on my hard boiled egg and gagged. Coffee was crap though. Whomever brewed the coffee burnt it so it tasted like plastic. Close proximity to our dance comp at the Hamilton convention centre. Walking distance to restaurants. Staff were wonderful and made us feel at home.

Stayed here as a base to visit people and properties before we move over from the uk and before we had even got through the main doors a housekeeper welcomed us and gave us directions to reception (which is on 1st floor) The Building Very clean, fresh and looks new. The layout is great with all the main functions on first floor..reception, lifts, breakfast area, pool, gym and laundry room.. Its a perfect home from home. Even a small shop for basic items and not too expencive either. Breakfast Is included and was fresh and tasted just as nice, although one day the porridge was very thick like glue! But there was more than enough chouce of other items.. Coffee and fresh just and a waffle a small issue on one occassion didnt put us off. There are also community meals a few evenings in the week but i was so busy i sadly missed out. Room Everything i needed being away from home. My own small kitchen with everything needed, comfy bed and clean bathroom. What more could you ask for! Staff All i can say is every member i came in contact with..from maintainence, housekeeping, dining and reception should be recognised, they are certainally an asset to the hotel and are obviously lead by excellent management. Keep up the amazing work! Overall Im an employee of i.h.g and certainally would be proud to work with such a professional team. Keep up the great work!

Spent 3 days whilst checking out the local area... Good central location for all amenities and bus connections...Easy to get to niagra falls/toronto Staff great and helpful rooms really good and clean and decent breakfast in mornings

We stayed here when I attended a conference at the Convention Centre which is a 5 minute walk away. We were upgraded when we arrived so had a King bed which was so comfortable I wish I hadn't had to get up so early! We think the upgrade was because of construction work right across the road but it didn't disturb us anyway! A free buffet supper is provided from Monday to Wednesday and the kitchen is adequate for preparing a simple or quick meal. There is a very handy 24 hour convenience store just around the corner for supplies.

Was a very nice, clean well maintained hotel. Our suite had a full kitchen with range, micro over and dishwasher as well as full size refrigerator. All sts in good condition, granite counters and a whirlpool bath in the master. I would highly recommend this location if you travel Hamilton.

My husband and I stayed one night. We had tried the Homewood across the street last time, so we desided to try this one. It's a nice hotel. Very clean. Room was smaller than the Homewood. Awkward bathroom setup (small area for shower and toilet). Very nice free hot breakfast in the morning. Underground parking was nice, but small. During busy times it would fill fast and you'd have to park across the street. Overall a very nice hotel (but Homewood across the street is a little bit nicer). Very friendly staff.
