We shared two adjoining rooms with a small kitchenette. We had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the staff courteous and helpful. You may notice at check-in complimentary ear plugs. These are intended to help with weekend noise from Hess Village. We didn't experience an issue with that but new construction on Caroline across from the hotel started up at 6:30, a problem for light sleepers. Indoor parking is limited so an early arrival is preferred if the hotel is busy.

A nice extended-stay type hotel in downtown Hamilton, about a 5 minute walk from Jackson Square. Good basic breakfast available - was included in my rate. Staff was terrific and the room spacious and comfortable.

Usually stay in this hotel when in Hamilton for business and it is always a pleasant experience. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the staff are always very welcoming and helpful. Car parking is also very secure.

Haven't been to Hamilton for a few years, so was hesitant to book a hotel downtown. Was impressed with the hotel and Hamilton's recent resurgence. Hotel was great. Clean, safe, friendly. Rooms are modern. Room had a kitchenette. Great set up. Only slight suggestion: set of 4 rather than 3 for cups, plates, etc. Pool was clean and warm. Breakfast was included and had many options and great seating area. Staff is friendly. Will be booking here again.

i stayed in this hotel more 2 month staff is good friendly only on reception remaining housekeeping staff is rude and arrogant first of all housekeeping they will never change your bedsheet and pillow cover in last 2month i never saw they change i mark on my pillow to see this and i saw the same mark 2 month ..second one day i was in my room and saw housekeeper she is cleaning my toilet with the towel which i used .....never i find my room is full with amenities sometime toilet roll missing sometime kitchen paper towel some time soap so on everytime i have to go to reception i have to ask in the night when i will come from my job i am so tired and again i have to go to reception only for that . Now lets come to breakfast everyday same breakfast which is really pathetic how someone can eat same food 2 month no change in the menu no vegetarian option and most funny thing is i got lot fat milk which is expired 1 week before when i complaint to staff she told me sorry and told me to take another milk. egg is foul smell i think its not fresh .not a good option management has to take option at least they should have cyclical menu may be managment don't want to take initiative .. mon tue wed social night is good amazing but for vegetarian pathetic in social night all non vegeterian can enjoy food But for vegetarian there is no option except salad when i ask to the staff she told me no we don't have any vegetarian option which is really not acceptable... last thing the social night is from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm i went 7.20 pm to take food and service lady told me sorry we closed and we dont have anything all finished how you can say like that when you are open till 7.30 pm.. very bad experience of my life i tay so many hotels i never seen like this we are paying money than also getting this kind of torture service i left the hotel after 2month and i told my company not to send any employees in this hotel we book another hotel which is far better than this hotel atlist we have good breakfast ........ bad bad bad bad

We had a fifth floor north view, and the suite concept was really comfortable. The inside parking was well lit and safe. The suite had a very large fridge, sinks, cupboards, utensils, dishes, oh ya, a dishwasher. Also a great work station desk, couches, super large comfortable bed. The breakfast was as good as any others we've had. One confusing item is that when you enter from the main street level upon arrival you must go to 2nd floor for the front desk ( elevator for sure). Other than breakfast there isn't a restaurant, however there are plenty nice ones in the near surrounding vicinity. You are next door to Timmy's and a 24 corner convenience. Also, Locke St., is only minutes away and has an eclectic neighbourhood with coffee shops, specialty shops, and nice restaurants. Try Beasley's, we enjoyed it. You are only minutes to the QEW (expressway) which goes to the wineries, and Niagara - on - the -Lake. We would return here for sure. The one downside was the energy-efficient light in the shower/toilet area.

Very good rooms with kitchenette. Everything you need is provided in the kitchens. Room was spacious with a nice clean bathroom. Good onsite laundry with lots of clean machines. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were amazing and very understanding concerning our sudden date changes. A really good hotel that is highly recommended.

From browsing the internet on Staybridge Suite, I was expecting a grand White House looking building . But after driving around Hamilton downtown I realized there is no space for such a grand building. Nonetheless, I had a great time at Staybridge. Underground parkings were limited but there were outdoor parking across the street. The room was clean and very functional. It came with a full kitchen, fridge, stove , dishwasher... etc . The complementary breakfast was more than adequate. Good choice of Wolfgang coffee. There was a waffle maker too. There were lots of comfortable seating and the patio was just adjacent to the restaurant. ( you need your card key to re-enter from the patio). In the evening the restaurant seating area was opened. You can help yourself with coffee and tea. It's a very nice space to gather with friends to play board games and chat. During the week there are socials and food are served. We only stayed for the weekend and did not get to enjoy that. Definitely, I would recommend Staybridge when you come to Hamilton.

First time I have been to Hamilton, so I booked a room downtown at the Staybridge. The original plan was to stay at the Crowne Plaza, however that changed ownership and was no longer part of the IHG family. I had arrived much earlier than expected, around 9:30AM, so my room was not ready. However, the woman at the front desk let me park in their secured lot and advised me breakfast was still going on and I could have some. SInce I had driven for 3 1/2 hours and did not eat, this was very nice. The garage is underground, which is nice, however it is very small and the spaces are very narrow. I nearly clipped a car due to the compact size and the fact my car is a little larger than normal. Luckily, I didn't hit anything. The hotel for some reason has two lobbies. The first floor from the street is very small, and the main lobby, breakfast area, etc is on the second floor, with the rooms on floors 3-6. Odd design, but you get used to it. I grabbed some coffee and walked around Downtown Hamilton while I waited. Nearby is an indoor mall with a great farmer's market. I would advise stopping in if they are open. While taking my walk, it started to rain, so I ran back in. Room wasn't ready yet, so the woman at the desk let me use the business center until it was. Around 11:30 or so, room was ready so I went upstairs, I have never been in a Staybridge, but I was happy what I saw. A mini-kitchen, a living room and a separate bedroom, each with a TV, plus central air. Very nice design. The TV is a bid odd- channels are numbered not in the conventional way and not every channel listed on the card came in. Many were just static. Since I wanted something to do while waiting out the rain, this was a little disappointing, The wi-fi is there, but very spotty, I constantly lost signal the whole stay. This needs to be addressed. Bathroom is small but functional. Shower works great. Rain eventually stopped and I took a walk to Hamilton Harbor, roughly 20 or 30 minutes, you can see some views of the harbor and Lake Ontario. Worth a visit if you like to see ships. Had dinner and a beer then went to a Ti-Cats game, the CFL team in Hamilton. You can walk there, but it's a hike so I would recommend driving, bus, or taxi (stadium is roughly a mile and a half from the hotel). Some of the neighborhoods on the way are not the best either, though I had no issues when I walked. I got back close to midnight and slept well, had a nice strong hot shower then enjoyed the breakfast again. There is a small patio you can sit and enjoy the morning. I can't remember if there is a pool, but if there is I didn't use it. I took a short drive to Upper Hamilton where you can see great views of downtown and the water by looking off a mountain. Overall, service is great, rooms are nice, but wi-fi is terrible and the parking is tight. Part of it is due to being in Downtown Hamilton, which is decent sized and built up, but I wonder if there is another lot or somewhere nearby they can reach an agreement with to use for overflow. Oh, and they have an agreement with the local racetrack/slot casino where you can get $10 in free play. I turned it into $18, so small profit for me! The guards took a couple minutes to make sure my ID was legit, but I understand since I'm sure they don't see many Michigan licenses. I would come back if my travels take me to Hamilton again. Hopefully the wi-fi will be updated.

I can honestly say that this was one of our best hotel experiences ever. We had booked our room months in advance knowing that we would be in town for a concert at First Ontario Place (which is conveniently only a few blocks away). On our way to the hotel we received a call from the hotel and we were in dread that they had overbooked or something and saying that they could no longer accommodate us -- but it was good news. We had originally booked a jacuzzi room which was no longer available but instead they were giving us a room with a private terrace! That overlooked Hess Village no less! Although we were looking forward to the jacuzzi a private terrace on a beautiful day is great too. When we arrived at the hotel we were promptly greeted by the same girl who had talked to us on the phone and she knew who we were. Her name is Natalia and she was amazing. Our room was amazing to say the least. It was like a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and livingroom. Although we were only there for the night and didn't get a chance to use all the facilities they were all there and very well maintained. Our terrace was the highlight of our stay. It allowed us to accommodate our friends both before and after the concert. It was fully stocked with patio furniture. The hotel is located in a convenient downtown spot adjacent to the Hess Village. There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. There is secure parking under the hotel. The hotel does offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning but you have to be there early! One of the best parts was the noon checkout time. I highly recommend this hotel not only for its high level of customer service but its cleanliness and location. Next time I am in Hamilton I will stay here again.
