Spent three nights at this hotel for business. From the accommodations to the staff and the first notch breakfast, everything was excellent during this stay. I definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again in the future.
New fresh look to an excellent hotel with many dedicated and experienced staff. Renovations were a bit overdue but the pain was worth it. The food is still excellent or better! My wife was very impressed with the food and the service and really enjoyed her stay!
Nice hotel very clean. S little pricey compared to other hotels in the area. They charge 9.95 for breakfast which is the same free breakfast from the best western. They also charge 9.95 for parking compared to free parking at the best western. Just found it over priced
The hotel was redone beautifully. When you walk in you are amazed at how much it has been done over since the Holiday Inn. The rooms are great and you have beautiful walk in showers. The beds are pretty comfortable and you even get complimentary water which most hotels charge you for. The only real problem I had with the hotel is that the revolving door did not work and was hard to push to get in the hotel, that is a minor thing that I am sure they will have fixed shortly, that breakfast was not included in the hotel. The staff was courteous and friendly and very helpful whenever there was a problem, they were quick to solve it for you. All in all great hotel
Stayed at the hotel for one night. Rooms were fresh, newly renovated. The staff were great. We arrived at supper time and wanted a good hot meal. After arriving at the restaurant and waiting about 10-15 mins as the restaurant was quite full, a busy waitress stopped and told us that it was busy with online pre orders and would be at least 30 mins to wait. We also noticed she was the only waitress and that no one was getting their pre ordered food at the same time per table. It was very disorganized. We left and ate else where.
Has to be the best all around hotel I have stayed in ever. All services were flawless and the room was impeccable. Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel! The room service dining was surprisingly fast and the food was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay there again!
My husband and I stayed at the newly renovated Double Tree by Hilton for one night. The new space is lovely. Staff are kind and friendly and I was happy to hear that there is a Starbucks location coming to their lobby. We also ate breakfast at their breakfast buffet - very reasonably priced and good food! We’d stay there again for sure.
What a great stay we had. The rooms are so new and fresh. The bed was so comfortable. The staff are second to none. And that breakfast...wow! We will be back with our extended family just for the breakfast alone. To top it off, parking at $9 and very convenient.
Stayed at this hotel for three weeks for business. This hotel is across the harbour form downtown Halifax which you can get to by either the McDonald bridge of by the Halifax ferry which is a 5-6 min walk from the hotel. The staff here were exceptional as they were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The dining room was clean and daily hot breakfast was typical hotel fare; good but pricey.
Newly renovated, good amenities. Friendly staff. It is a good and feasible option to stay on the Halifax Harbour on Dartmouth side right of the Macdonald Bridge. A bar/restaurant is located in the lobby area and view from 7th floor was beautiful.
