Arrived after a short taxi ride from the airport. A friendly reception team with good English provided an efficient check in service. Room was spacious and clean and comfortable. A good standard of fittings as you would expect from this hotel brand. The communal areas of the hotel are stylish and comfortable for meeting or catching up on E mail or just relaxing. Breakfast is very good with a decent selection of hot and cold food accompanied by more friendly service.

Hotel is located in a nice zona, with amazing staff the rooms are very clean and the beds are just perfect. Pool was warm and clean gym was well maintained and the staff in the lounge made our stay quite enjoyable, consistently went above and beyond with every request. Nice massages at the spa. great job overall! I would recommend it to anyone and anytime we're in guatemala city we will definately be staying here. I would reccomend the executive rooms as the view and room was spectacular.

Clean and friendly staff but no heat... Nice executive level. The surprise came when our room was very cool and tinkered with the control on the wall that listed heat, but nothing but cool air blew. Eventually I gave up and called to get an answer which was we will bring a heater. The executive level has a bar and snacks but food selection much better downstairs. Strangely, we had two wake up calls at 6:30 we didnt ask for... Just mentioning.

I used to love the Intercontinental chain... I stayed in great intercontinental hotels across the world.. my honeymoon was in the Tahiti Intercontinental... and, I'm an ambassador member. BUT, I will never stay in an intercontinental again after the last couple experiences I had. I changed rooms a couple times in this hotel.. Clogged tub and sink is standard, the carpet is just a bad choice, A/C wasn't woriking...I complained and they said I would get a drink in my next stay.. I did came back, no drink.

We only had one night in GC between our Antigua and Tikal visits, but this bit of class made it rather special. Hotel is as you’d expect from InterContinental, with a sweeping large main foyer, massive staircases, and large art installations. Staff was highly attentive, even noticing that it was my birthday when verifying my ID. When we returned from dinner there was a nice piece of birthday cheesecake in our room for us to share. A very nice touch! Maya lounge was a lot of fun, and the shuttle to the airport was a great touch as well. Thank you!

Room and facilities as you expect for this level, several good restaurants. Front desk etc not particularly friendly Found airport shuttle very poor. Other hotel shuttles (Westin, Marriott etc.) came several times whilst we waited then just got a taxi. Same in return, they weren’t interested. Spa Massage was amazing if you like deep tissue! Will tryWestin across the road next time.

Modern architecture, safe, clean, friendly staff, good size rooms and well equipped. Did I mention friendly staff... Safe area, plenty of restaurants and other hotels. Sauna, nice pool and 3 or 4 restaurants and excellent pizza too. "The Market" is open all day with a good breakfast and lunch and dinner. Marisa and Irana work at this place being very attentive, making everyone feeling comfortable.

Friendly & efficient stuff, very clean and well maintained rooms, excellent buffet style breakfast, free airport shuttle . The rooms with 2 double beds are very specious and can accommodate a family of 5 (the hotel will provide extra bed if needed). Overall highly recommended & good value for money.

Second stay at the hotel but this time with my partner. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants (Italian, Sushi, and Continental) and excellent service in all three. Overall, service is A+. All transfers worked smoothly and requests for room changes were easily made. Our rooms were small but comfortable. The main problem was the noise generated by the elevator which rumbles along the floor on that side of the building. If you can sleep through anything, you will probably be okay. If you can’t, ask for a room on the other side of the elevator shaft and on down that hallway. Pool was great with lots of lounge chairs and big, fluffy towels. The executive floor lounge has limited offerings and is small. But you can get a glass of wine and a snack before dinner.

The room was wonderful with spectacular city and volcano views. Desk and service staff were completely professional and very helpful with local planning. The true gems are Flávio, Pamela and Alexandra in The Market restaurant.
