Guys im traveling to the china 10 year but this is my worst experience ever!!!! i experience very arrogant duty manager Joe Zhao on the top of all hotel personal try to cheat me with room rate even i signed contract to stay here for 2 weeks. ones again im very disappointed!!!!!!!
I stayed here for two nights on a personal visit with wife. Rooms are ok and video on demand had good new movies to watch. Bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast was not very good. Need better selection to includes juices and toast. Strangest thing was that we ordered room service and was told to pay cash or card right in the room because our deposit held at checkin was not enough. Not sure of the reason why room service cannot be charged to room at settled at checkout? May be hold more deposit funds per day next time... very inconvenient. Room service food was actually ok.
I have stayed at this property several times, as the scientific lab I visit in Guangzhou has a standing deal with them for their visitors. It's particularly convenient to the Guangzhou East rail station, which is where the trains in and out of Hong Kong come in, so it's quick from there to the hotel. The decor is Chinese decorative (not modern, but elegant) and the rooms are large and well-appointed, if a bit old-style. They have a very generous breakfast buffet, with excellent Chinese offerings, and Western-style options that range from just fine to "just don't" (avoid the sausages...). The staff mostly (kind of) speak English, but generally you can sort things out as needed. Downside this trip was that they were renovating their gym and spa, so that wasn't available (this involved some creativity to get a workout...) Caveats: Don't order room service over the phone and expect anything approximating what you thought you asked for! Better to go down to the bar and point at it in the menu - they'll still deliver it to your room. Perks: They have a good sit-down Chinese place in the hotel if you're so inclined, as well as a number of noodle houses, including a Halal noodle house (uniquely Guangzhou?) a few steps down the road. A few steps further down the road is a grocery/snacks/sundries store that pretty much has whatever you may need but forgot. I'll likely go back because of the lab connections, but I'd do so in any case because of its convenience.
I reached China today on 10 th Msrch for the first time. I reached Hotel Ramada plaza where I had my reservation. It is about 35 kms from International airport. The reception lobby gave a nice feeling of neatness and a sense of friendliness. The staff at reception was very friendly, helpful and quite fast. Lady at reception spoke good english. I entered my room and was impressed with cleanliness. The bed was comfortable and I could relax well. The location of hotel is very close to eastern railway. station. An ATM is available right in hotel for converting currency to Yuan. This is a great convenience. I loved my stay of one day in this hotel.
Very clean room. Good breakfast. Nice location!! Proximity to train station. Connection to downtown and exhibition center is good. It about 30 minute drive. Quite place and helpful staff. Good meeting place for visitors too.
Stayed one night in this hotel. Although it is not that clean, it is above the average standard. There is dust on the bedbug it is acceptable. Some of the hotels in china have bad quality. If you booked another hotel with the same amount of money, you have to use “DUSTY” to describe the environment. The hotel WiFi is quite good. Each of the room owns a WiFi and it does not require extra charge. Moreover, the WiFi is 24 hour non-stop. The hotel provides free buffet breakfast every morning. I wanted to drink milk, but I couldn’t find it, finally I realized that there is NO MILK in the buffet breakfast! Last but not the least, most of the staff there can only communicate in Mandarin. They don’t know English, and even Cantonese. I don’t recommend any foreigner to stay in this hotel.
Stayed here one night only. It was at the tail end of our 21 day tour of China and all hotels seemed to be rolling into one another. This was a clean, comfortable and the staff helpful. We didn't venture far and ate in the dining room, which was fine. Breakfast was good as well.
This hotel deserves 0 star rating. Stayed there for 2 nights during Canton Fair & I've had one of the worst experiences: 1) It appears to be across from the guangzhou east railway station but its actual location is awkward, it actually takes at least 20 mins by foot. 2) Unfriendly service, wifi was a joke & it took 25 minutes to check out. 3) Hotel staff is corrupt! I arranged a cab with the front desk to go to the train station. As I was getting in the cab, the hotel staff was shameless enough to ask me to pay the bellboy RMB20 first when he didn't even do anything, I refused. Then at this point the cab driver trapped my foot in the door trying to prevent me from leaving the scene, I shouted and closed the door and demanded the driver to leave. Then I noticed he took a much longer journey, then I saw he hasn't placed meter, I confronted him he asked for RMB60 - 3 to 4 times higher than usual. That's when I kicked off until he pulled over and I jumped out. He came after me trying to snatch my bag, I pushed him away and quickly ran with my luggage! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEATING HOTEL!
The hotel itself is good.shower head dint work.the service at the breakfast was apalling.....they put bacon in my omlet while I had asked him not to,after confronting them, they said it was a mistake.....which I feel was not the case.generally china is a dicey place.wouldn't want to come back.
The Ramada is very nice, the staff are helpful and the facilities at the hotel are very good. The fitness center is small, but it does have a leg press machine. The hotel is near the Guangzhou East Railway subway, but there is not a lot to do around the hotel. It can be a little tricky to find.
