Excellent hotel service throughout the conference at the hotel. Food was delicious and service extraordinary. Rooms are modern and comfortable. GuangZhou Center is modern with beautiful buildings that light gracefully at night, an old factory modernized to bring the young and beautiful parks to take a stroll. Enjoy!
We stayed for one night and loved our room, especially the bathroom with the plunge bath! The lobby is very grand. Unfortunately the pool and upstairs bar were shut. The staff were lovely but the room service was terrible, I think they might have been short staffed. The hotel is not easy to get to on foot, you have to cross the highway via a footbridge if coming from Guangzhou East station. Overall a lovely experience, I would award it a four star rather than a five. Breakfast is good.
The hotel is comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. I really liked the restaurant and bar as it has a good variety of drinks and food. Breakfast is excellent. Room a little dated in terms of age but very clean en well maintained.
They claimed to provide shuttle service, yet it need to be reserved one day earlier. I had not been informed or reminded anything about this upon the check--in. Breakfast ends at 10:30 and I was reminded to take my last round of food. However, all the counter closed at the same minute. I returned to my table at 10:30am with an empty plate.......
It was overall a good stay. Helpful stuff, beautiful and quiet room. The only thing was the musty smell, so we kept a window open all night. Hotel is in a great location. Ultimately, we enjoyed our visit.
The staff is very friendly and helpful but the room is too dark and the wifi internet in the room doesn't work at all. They have continental and Asian food at the breakfast. Everything in the hotel is clean and new.
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel, and I hope the last. Stayed here this time due to location to the Canton Fair. The hotel do run a shuttle bus, which is relatively efficient, but it's the in-house service that lets it down. Rooms are tired, averagely furnished with bad air con. The lobby lounge has staff that don't speak very good English. The drink service is woefully slow, the bar food is not good at all, and the time it takes to get a tab/chequer is again, so slow and not always right. Breakfast is over crowded, with not much choice of food. As a city centre hotel, that can capitalise on its location to so many things, one would expect much better service but it just does not deliver.
Ich usually stay at a ramada hotel when I travel, and have always had good experiences. Except for this time. Cons: at the breakfast buffet, pure chaos all 3 days that I ate there. On my second day I ordered an omelette which was first forgotten. Then burned. Then forgotten again. Only after calling the manager could said omelette actually be made 30 minutes later, I don't think I have stayed anywhere where breakfast especially a simple task like preparing an omelette was such a fiasco (best way to start the day!) Room service is too expensive for their quality and quantity. The portions of the ordered chicken Caesar salad and ham & cheese sandwich were tiny and not of good quality. (Totally not worth it, order from outside instead or even better go to riccis restaurant which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel near the ikea store, great service and even better food and once again super friendly English speaking staff!!) At dinner the first hotel restaurant at ramada turned me away as it said it was closing for the night (time was 9:20, closing time of restaurant was 10:00) the next hotel restaurant at the hotel (open till 1 am) didn't have many of the items on the menu card + wrong order was served (however at this time I was just too tired to argue). The online description of indoor pool is wrong, this should be updated. The non-smoking room smelt of smoke, which was strange because they said the entire floor was non-smoking (however as there was an ashtray in the room, I'm sure some previous guests might have smoked in the non-smoking room!) Pros. Majority of the staff spoke English, which was nice. Even thou it was all very chaotic the staff was very kind and friendly. The managers when called resolved the issues quickly. (However I don't want to stay at a hotel where I pay for a service and then need to argue with the staff for not delivering such service, it's suppose to be relaxation and not a test for my nerves) If you only have basic Mandarin skills and just want a hotel to rest your head at and not use the facilities this hotel is great because the staff speak English, however when paying the full price I'm sure you would like to enjoy the full service including the breakfast buffet and even thou I'm a ramada hotel fan I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
this hotel deserve the best , the staff is really helpful , buffet breakfast is fantastic , location is too good , just a walking distance from the guangzhou east metro station , one can come from airport to this hotel guangzhou east railway station , only in 7 yuan the metro depart at 6 am from the morning , in china taxi driver make money , do not pay them alot , taxi take around 200 yuan plus , metro take only 7 yuan , the metro fare is very geuine , whether u go anywhere , to malls , beijing road , electronic wholesale market anywhere , very cheaper , be careful in china do not expect english from anyone , google , gmail , facebook , you tube is ban by the govt , you can use baidu.com for search , hotel have everything you need , near have seven eleven store and easy to get train to shenzen or hong kong . rest need anything to ask , ask me thank you
Cons: This is not a new hotel. The rooms are getting a musty smell (our third stay here in as many years) The non smoking floors reek of fresh smoke (not a big surprise in china for those who've lived in china for a while) One hour by taxi from the airport Sauna at gym fee is rmb 198 Pros: Great Dimsum restaurant Nice pool Small yet effective gym Pleasant staff who speak English Centrally located Crib available Spacious enough rooms Bathtub Mini bar actually had stuff in it Breakfast is adequate yet a bit high at rmb 80 when booked online
