The hotel was recently renovated. We stayed in the twelfth floor. The view of Tumon Beach was awesome! Room was nice, could have gotten a high review if sliding doors to balcony were not hard to open and close. AND an additional pillow would have been great. Only one pillow per bed provided. We had breakfast right after a nice morning walk on the beach at the Main Restuarant. The menu is buffet style. Nice view of the pool and beach. All on all a nice experienced.
Stayed one night here. Breakfast was a disappointment to say the least. 22usd for some scrambled egg. Variety very low on drinks and cereals/muesli. Infinity pool was nice and view over beach as well.
The facilities of the hotel were very good. Front desk were efficient for both check, in and check out. The location is very excellent, near shopping and dining. Didn't have a chance to visit their dining outlets as there are a lot of options outside.
First of all the positives about this place, it is in a great location, right in town. The infinity pool is beautiful and a nice spot to relax, kids will need floaters as they cannot touch the ground anywhere. Room were cleaned everyday (if you wanted) and beds made and you never wait long for the elevator. The cleaning staff are so friendly and the staff at the desk were friendly for the most part. Also you could book a mini van ride that takes you from the hotel to the amazing markets on a Wednesday night. This is 8USD pp. However, for the price I thought it was a bit steep AND they do not have breakfast included which I found strange. So on top of the price you pay breakfast which is $22 USD pp. We didn't bother trying the breakfast and found other spots in the area that did it cheaper but still yummy! The other thing is the hotel is really old, the rooms are a bit...well old. My partner and I booked a room with a queen bed but when we arrived there were 2 doubles. I look back now and should have let the staff know but we just dealt with it. Friends of ours who stayed a few floors above had problems with their toilet (overflowing, gross), had to change rooms and there were issues with their air con too. Staff accommodated to this, however it was a pain. I recommend hiring a car as taxis are expensive anywhere you go (even hotel ones) and going exploring areas not in town.
finding parking is a challenge. I think there was no valet parking. parking garage was very dim and I got disoriented. wear and tear of building and equipment were visible. carpets on the hallways has seen better years. the room decor was dated but the view from the balcony overlooking the pool and the beautiful Tumon beach certainly made up for it. the food at the Main was good and over at Waon was just as good. Staff seem friendly at both restaurants and the front desk staff were just fine.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the tourist area where shops abound. It's an older hotel, with some renovations. However, although the hotel is by the beach, it is located higher than beach level. As such, you have to walk down to reach the public beach from the hotel. The hotel has no facilities on the beach itself, so there are no chairs or places to leave your belongings, unlike the other beachfront hotels. Overall, it's a good hotel.
I stayed here for a week on my recent visit to Guam. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel had he perfect location in terms of proximity to restaurants, and access to free shuttles to nearby sites. The room was comfortable and relaxing. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Guam!!
It is my fifth time of visiting Guam. I decide not to visit Guam again due to unfriendly manner as well as bad quality of food at the Main Restraunt in Reef & Olive Spa hotel. I would not go to the restraunt again if my reservation did not include breakfast. For the worse, the female manager at the restraunt showed no flexibility in customer's request. On sixth day, my 6-year old daughter got fever and could not eat out. My wife tried to feed instant steamed rice for my daughter. However, we don't have spoon and therefore, went to the restraunt to ask for a disposable spoon to the female manager. Although I mentioned that we went to the restraunt every morning, the manager rejected my request and said, "I can't give you any spoon. If you insist, go ask front desk." I could not believe her unflexibility and attitude she showed. I can't find anything like feeling of sorry from her. If you stay in Guam, please avoid Reef. If you can not help staying at Reef, please avoid using the Main Restraunt or you will experince hell of taste and manner of the Main Restraunt.
This is our second year staying in Guam while visiting my daughter and son-in-law. Last year we stayed at the Nikko and decided to move to another resort for a change of location. We stayed in a corner room that offered two sided windows. The furniture was getting a little old and a little beat up. The bed was perfect for me. My wife, it was a little hard. The pool was also very good. The staff was very accommodating. There was steps and a trail going down to the beach. (Not sure what to say about that. Maybe I missed something. There was no place to lay out on the beach if you wanted to. It was taken up by merchants who were providing flotation equipment. From my balcony it looked like a WW2 armada of swans, ducks, and kayaks. My wife and I trekked through rocks to a wooden area and spent our time there. (Loved that). Walking into the Resort, one tends to want to have a "Wow" factor. (We did at the Nikko last year). Didn't see that here. Which I guess is ok. So the major pluses were the staff and the room location. The major minus' were the beach or lack there of. Will we stay again? Probably not, we will continue to explore the other resorts in Guam as we come to visit family.
The hotel is located conveniently and within easy walking distance to various shops and restaurants. We had a corner room and the views from it were amazing, and overlooking the sea! The room was more spacious than other hotels we have stayed at in Guam, and at its price point it is a great choice. We'd recommend making use of the infinity pool, or take a sip at the poolside bar before hitting the waters (we were given a -10% coupon for the poolside bar). There's lots of actives available at the beach if you visit in the afternoon, and once you're done, the hotel is just a short walk away!
