Del Marqués Hotel and Suites

This hotel was home for my dad and I for a week in April 2017 while I was recovering from surgery. We had two bedrooms (each with a king sized bed), kitchenette and living room with two chairs and a desk/chair. Each bedroom had a TV but the living room did not. My only nit-pick is that it was a mini-fridge - a different suite hotel that I stayed at for two weeks prior had the full sized fridge. Other than that, the breakfast was acceptable (limited choice - but good enough for us), the staff were friendly, the suite was clean and the price was more than fair. I prefer staying at smaller, more local establishments than the higher-end hotel chains that just charge for the name. In any event, should I return to Guadalajara I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Great hotel with really nice rooms. The bed are the biggest i ever seen. The breakfast was really really small but nice. The service was really good and quick. In the end its really worth the price we paid.

Whilst the Del Marques doesn't have the charm of Hotel Morales what it does have is very enjoyable suites that include a second room and kitchenette. We found this vital when travelling with our 2 year old. The hotel is clean and tidy, some things are a little tired but I'd recommend staying here for the size of the rooms provided you get yourself a suite. The restaurant and pool were very good and the service was excellent.

We stayed at Del Marques Hotel & Suites for five nights while visiting our sponsored children in Guadalajara. We selected this hotel because they offer suites for four people and because they allow pets, however we ended up leaving one person and the dog back home. Our suite consisted of two rooms (+ bathroom). There was a bedroom with two double beds, then a large, open "sitting room" with a TV, small table, and two comfy chairs. If we'd actually wanted to sit out there and watch television, I'm not sure how four people would do that with only two chairs, but this wasn't an issue for us since we never turned on the TV. However, we were extremely grateful for the space, which we used to store and sort all of the children's gifts we'd brought from home + our purchases from an epic shopping trip to Walmart (where we bought 6 carts full of stuff and broke the cash register). The huge room was exactly what we needed to accommodate everything without cluttering our sleeping area, and for this reason we will likely stay at the this hotel again the next time we visit Guadalajara. This was my fourth trip to visit the sponsored children, and on previous occasions I have booked a second room just to store the gifts. This was not necessary at Del Marques Hotel and Suites. The location of the hotel is good. We were able to get around easily using Uber. The area is quiet - perhaps because there is a police station right on the corner. There is a Sizzler restaurant within walking distance, and we felt safe and comfortable going there after dark. The staff at Del Marques were friendly and helpful. I appreciate the assistance of the men who volunteered and jumped in to help us carry load after load of gifts down the stairs from our room! I suppose if I had one complaint about this hotel, it would be the lack of an elevator. The complimentary breakfast was quite good, and a reasonably priced upgrade is offered for those who desire more than toast and fruit. We all enjoyed drinking the delicious green juice, and we had fun speculating about what fruits and/or vegetables might be in it. There was also orange juice for the less adventurous. I'm writing this review a bit late, but I don't recall there being any issues with the free wifi. All in all, we had an excellent stay at Hotel Marques, and we will very likely return.

Just an average hotel..complimentary breakfast is nothing... Room was just ok... asked for king size bed but got twin bed room.. Internet service was good Cleaniness was also bad...service was also average. .... In terms of locality in mid of industrial area

The service was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable. Everyone was very polite and eager to help. Breakfast delicious and freshly prepared. The hotel in one of Guadalajara's nicest locations, it's not near downtown but there's a bus stop nearby so transportation is easy

This hotel, on a quiet street, is clean, with rooms that live up to the photos. The staff is pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit and I plan to stay there in the future whenever I go to Guadalajara. Booking it through is a real bargain.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and was impressed with the quality of the rooms, especially since I paid less than $50 a night including taxes. My girlfriend liked the clean bathroom and I liked the fast powerful hot shower. It was central to everything we wanted. I highly recommend this hotel. I even left my iPhone in the room all day on accident and was happy to return and see it where I left it charging in the dock the hotel provided;-)

The hotel is clean, quiet and the rooms exactly as described and pictured on the website. Staff is extremely pleasant. Rather than have the complimentary continental breakfast, I had an excellent full breakfast for an additional 40 pesos. I was delighted with my find, thought it was a great bargain and will stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in room 206 for five days. Within that time we went from having no water to only having cold water to having smelly water. My face cream was used and a skirt went missing. Enough said.
