The room was average and there was a suspect stain on the undersheets of one the beds. For a cheap hotel for a quick stop over it was on par with being quite average. Easy access to the main road and town was ideal.

Was on a budget but expected at least a chair in the room, hangers in the closet and a little hot water. Neither of us felt the hot water when we showered. However it is close to public transport which can take you to the city or Gros Islet in minutes.

Myself and boyfriend was there and I find it was very peaceful and besides the beach was a walk was a bit small and TV very small....air condition Unit, hot and cold shower, nice balcony view and great breakfast not forgetting wifi service........ staffs were friendly.

the mini bar was always refilled we got that cold piton beer and the fresh honey roasted peanuts. the staff were so nice to us from the moment we checked in until we checked out the panaromic view from our varanda was amazing i will definately choose Golden Arrow Inn when i visit st lucia again

I ended up at this motel on a church mission trip. Our whole group of 15 was housed here. The positives are the room was clean and the air conditioner was cold. Most nights I had a hot shower, but their water is heated by solar; when it's gone, it's gone. There were no blankets on the beds and sometimes in the middle of the night people in our group woke up freezing. Getting the AC adjusted correctly solved that issue for me. I slept well and found the bed to be comfortable. I did sweep my own room out a couple of times over a week. The motel staff were helpful and I don't mind keeping my space clean. If you're an American then you have to understand the differences in cultures. Most of the vehicles and houses are not air conditioned. Water for locals is rationed but tourists don't seem to be effected. Paper towels in public bathrooms where scarce. The local food was outside of my liking but luckily there is Burger King, Dominos, KFC, Subway and other none chain locations specifically in the Rodney Bay Area. All of these are within 15 minutes by car from this motel. Some other notable things to mention is the volcano and the hot water running out of the ground. We enjoyed the trip to that though you shouldn't expect to see a rim of a mountain with a big crater. It's more like Yellowstone with bare rock and boiling pools of water. It has a strong sulfer smell. The motel is within walking distance of a private beach area. It was not maintained by anyone but the water is beautiful no matter where you go. The nicest beach we saw was in Rodney Bay which is a 10-15 minute car ride. This beach is well maintained and the environment feels like home. If you come with a mask and snorkel, swim down to the jetties on the north end of the beach by the inflatables. There were thousands of fish of all species and sizes swimming here. It was a real treat to snorkel here. We also enjoyed some ice cream on the boardwalk by the marina at Rodney Bay in the evening time. Finally the driving, it's typical of most the islands in the Caribbean. There are a thousand Toyota minivans and the seating arrangement with jump seats allows 14 passengers to ride in them. A number that those vehicles were never intended to hold. We had the same van and driver we hired for the week which work wonderfully. The van was like an overloaded little donkey that was a sure footed workhorse. They drive on the left side of the road and the vehicles are right side steering. They drive with one hand on the horn and beep, beep is heard every couple of cars like a polite greeting. Some of the roads are very tight and the locals are comfortable driving in close proximity of each other at a rapid pace that many would find disturbing. I, however, loved it and got a lot of car time with our local connection. It was reminiscent of the term, "drive it like you stole it." Finally the people which is what we came for. I found them to be a joy. We worked the first half of everyday with some local churches. They were great hosts and very engaging. Obviously this was not a vacation, it was so much more and the conditions I described above are better than most mission trips. If you love travel and an adventure, this is the best way to really get the local culture and help some people at the same time. A final note on the motel. There is nothing commercial within walking distance but the desolate beach. You'll need a taxi or rental car if you stay here off the beaten path.

I had lunch from this hideaway and it was delicious. As they say good food is hard to find. Keep up the good work. U could do take out or dine in, staff are awesome and pay attention to detail very well. U guys must see on a regular

After staying one out of the two weeks that I booked in February I was ready to go home. The owner (Nigil) wouldn't refund me the total amount for the week but promised me in writing that he would refund me $200 US. That was back in February and to date all I have received are more unrealized promises & still no refund. I will gladly forward his promissory email letter if any wishes to see how deceitful the owner is. As far as the Inn is concerned if you don't have a rental car don't stay here. They call it secluded I call it being trapped in a small Inn with absolutely nothing to do or offer. IT IS CHEAP FOR A REASON!!!!

2nd time staying here. Shower water (even cold) is still pretty iffy. Sometimes no water comes out. Dinners served at GAI this trip were phenomenal! Have been searching the internet to try to find a recipe for the Cole slaw we were served one night. There is a new Indian chef. Water views from private balconies is amazing! There has been some redecorating since last time we were here 2 years ago. AC in the rooms is excellent. Had some problems getting fresh towels on a daily basis. Dorm sized Refrigerators placed in rooms was a great addition.

Stayed 2 years ago in a Virgin Hotel, excellent quality but nearly broke the bank to get there. staying at the Golden Arrow Inn, gave me the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Island without the huge costs. Good friendly staff, quiet tranquil environment. Great for couples and families. perfect location, would advice anyone on a low budget to use the Golden Arrow.
