We stayed here overnight while up for a funeral ,the hotel was excellent the rooms were really nice and spacious ,we had a meal in the evening which was good value and the breakfast was superb ,all the staff were really pleasant top marks ! Even so a fox sat on the grass next day ,
I recently stayed here while in Greenock and I have to say that the staff made the visit for me. Always a happy hello and all were happy to help. I think her name was Helen (I'm not the best with names) but she helped me with an issue from my first night and resolved it quickly and professionally... but always with a friendly smile. The breakfast was great every morning and the room was clean and tidy.. the housekeeping staff were also so friendly. The only thing was it could be quite noisy as it was close to the main road, but I got used to it after the first 2 nights... I will happily stay again and would happily recommend it to anyone. Thank you to everyone there 😁
Recently spent a week here dealing with family business. The rate paid was very good value and included a cooked breakfast which offered a good variety of hot and cold food in very clean surroundings. The bedroom was comfortable although a little tlc is needed in places. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept well and room heating was easy to control and was cosy. Shower worked well, was powerful and walk in which I prefer. Hotel is very handy for local amenities. Having stayed at all the other hotels locally this would now be my first choice. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Just be careful when booking as oddly they have smoking rooms which is unusual these days.
A 1 night business overnight stay was great value. Rooms are modern and bright, with large TV (Freeview channels). Heating / Cooling system is efficient without being noisy. Friendly attentive staff. Plenty of parking for cars/vans. Nice buffet breakfast in with the room rate covering English/Continental options.
Check in quick and easy. Using card entry to room door was frustrating but after 20 odd attempts door finally unlocked. Room was pretty standard hotel fare, but chair was heavily stained and breeze whistling through badly fitted window. Bed was comfortable and breakfast standard fare but could do with more hot food choice.
Staff was not very nice and a little clumsy, horrible dinner and they couldn't keep our heavy bags for the day until our company taxi came for us. Room was good, although when heavy winds you could hear very strong noises and the windows were not very strong.
First stay at this hotel, arrived 9.40pm due to diversion on A9, friendly reception staff but no food availanle as kitchen closed at 9.30pm was given directions to other restaurants in the area. Room basic but clean and beds very comfortable room cold initially but once room card inserted in slot within 10 minutes room lovely and warm. Ample free parking, hot and cold breakfast included in price. Cereal, fruit, yogurt, bacon, sausage, beans, scrambled eggs, toast, etc. A very reasonable priced hotel with friendly attentive staff and roughly 25 minutes from Glasgow city centre.
We stayed here as a base as visiting family member in hospital, on arrival we were greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome straight away. On going up to our room we were very pleased to see how nice it was , very clean and it had everything you could need. We had our evening meal although nicely cooked just a little bit disappointed that it was frozen chips and packet potato , this is our only small gripe. The staff are definitely a credit to the holiday inn and that includes the cleaning staff. we would most definitely stay again and recommend it to family and friends
Stayed at Hol Inn Warrington night before this visit to Hol Inn Greenock. Our wee dog was fussed over and access all areas (bar and breakfast in restaurant) as they are a "dog friendly hotel". So we arrive at Greenock which is also a "dog friendly hotel" like Warrington. We were bed n breakfast. 1st night we were informed that not only could we not have a drink at the bar with our wee dog and had to sit in the foyer, but, we could not take him in for breakfast or evening meal? So essentially even although it is a holday inn they have different rules in express. I still do not understand and after speaking to the GM the following morning decided to be submissive and just agree to disagree. So if you have a dog in Holiday Inn Express-It is dog friendly but only from front door to room and no other areas of the hotel aka your in a hostel as you cannot use any of the hotel facilities. I think you need to take " dog friendly" off of your Express chain Mr Holiday Inn
I booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay with family as we were all attending a wedding nearby. My initial thoughts were to book at the nearby Premier Inn being a frequent visitor to the hotel group but as other guests were staying here I booked to stay in the same hotel. I was a little apprehensive but I was not disappointed. Indeed I had to blink to remind me I was not staying in a Premier Inn such was the resemblance. Nobody in the group had any adverse comments regarding the hotel. I arrived a little earlier than the 1400hrs check in. The check in done by Gary was smooth informative and friendly. The room had a double bed and a sofa bed with a selection of soft and hard pillows. I was later to find out just how comfortable the bed was when I had one of the best sleeps I have ever had in any hotel. The bathroom was clean, well equipped and everything worked perfectly. The room faced to the rear of the property and was opposite the lift. Despite this it was still very quiet. The bar service was good, apparently until the wee small hours I was later to be informed by relatives. The breakfast buffet had a good hot and cold selection which was constantly topped up. The staff were attentive and as soon as they saw the tables filling up they opened an adjacent room to accommodate other guests arriving. Multitasking was the order of the day and all of the staff worked hard to keep everything running efficiently. The check out was as smooth as the check in. Parking around the hotel is more than adequate. It is hard to think of anything negative to say about the hotel. I would have no hesitation in booking to stay there again.
