The property had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The secure garden led directly onto the sand dunes, which provided an extensive and safe place to walk our dog. Access to the sea was good too. The one thing we couldn't get on with was the oven, which in our hands didn't get at all hot.

Nice clean property, comfortable sofas and bed, lovely garden that’s secure for dogs. Fantastic beach behind the property that’s dog friendly.Ended up getting takeout or eating out in the evenings as the oven and hob are very dated, it takes the oven an hour to get up to temperature, all the symbols are worn off so you don’t know which setting to use (there is a instruction sheet on the wall but you still can’t tell which is which). There is no instructions for the microwave so wasn’t sure how to use that either. Kitchen could do with some basic things like food tongs, pizza cutter, a whisk, some roasting tins/trays, salad bowl, pasta bowls, would have made things a bit easier. But saying that, we had a very pleasant stay and really appreciated the lovely welcome pack that was left, thank you! 4 dishwasher tablets and 2 toilet rolls to start us off was also appreciated, maybe a couple of washing pods in case of accidents ( like spilled milkshake!) I had to go out and buy a whole box just for one top! Ample parking for at least 2 cars out the front and you can even leave the front door open if things get too hot in the kitchen as it’s all fenced off and gated to the front so dogs can’t escape. Winterton itself is a lovely place with a pub, a chippy and a shop that sells just about everything! We would definitely go back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cottage. You truly cannot beat the location—it’s just a stone's throw from the beach and the dunes, which made for some incredible morning walks. It is 100% dog-friendly and our dog loved it as much as we did! The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and felt very welcoming from the moment we walked in. We were especially blown away by the amazing welcome goodies left for us, such a thoughtful and delicious surprise! The kitchen was impressively well-equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. The beds were comfy and too. A huge thank you to the hosts for being so generous and making our stay so seamless. If you're looking for a relaxing, high-quality getaway in Winterton-on-Sea (especially if you have a dog), I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!

This is a lovely holiday cottage! Im so glad we have found it and plan to book again as soon as I can.The cottage was perfectly situated to enjoy the coastline - literally open the back gate onto the sand dunes then a 5 min walk down to the beach! Then miles of stunning coast to enjoy. The cottage had everything you needed, sofa's both comfy, good sized TV, wifi, lots of books to read. We bought the table in from the conservatory as it was too chilly to eat out there when we stayed (there were trays to use)The bed was firm but comfortable and plenty of storage - the window above the bed was amazing - just lying there watching the stars!Bathroom is downstairs and had a great shower. Towels provided.Garden was amazing and very dog safe.Kitchen was well stocked with equipment - my only 'niggle' was I couldnt fathom how to use the oven as the labels had pretty much been washed off, thankfully had taken my air fryer so used that (we ended up eating at the pub most nights in the end anyway)There is a Tassimo coffee machine (you need to take pods), dishwasher if you use one, washing machine, fridge/freezer.The welcome pack was MORE than generous (thank you) make sure you take milk with you or get some en-route.The little village it is in is wonderful, everyone very friendly and has everything you need. The local pub is super dog friendly and the food is amazing! Cafe on the beach wonderful! A great stay and we will be back!

Lovely stay at Beachside Cottage
Very nice and comfortable week long stay at the above, 3 adults and 2 border collies. Ideal location for what we wanted, within 1 minute walk through rear gate and amongst the dunes. Although the elder dog is 13.5 years old, soon as we mentioned 'walk' she manages to stand after a spinal injuries 2 years ago, but to see her face light up when she gets onto the sand, with the youngerone tormenting her slightly, they both really enjoyed there holiday as well. May well try to rebook for next year again.

Cottage was comfortable, clean enough, and had everything we needed.Great being next to sand dunes/beach as was easy to take the dog for his walk straight out of the garden.Beach all sandy, and dog friendly. Dunes run for miles.Garden furniture - nice. Conservatory - nice. Dryer listed on website but does not exist. The pub and cafe were both dog friendly and had great food. Plus a fish and chip, and a very well stocked local store. Beach cafe too - presumably not open all year though.Weather was great too.

Clean house and secure garden
We found Beachside Cottage more than adequate for our needs and came up to our expectations although the kitchen is undeniably small. The garden was totally secure which meant we could relax whilst our 2 dogs went outside. What we would have found helpful would have been short notes on how to live in the cottage. The oven dials had been worn off through cleaning and as it was not the same model as ours at home it took a few attempts to fire it up, similarly the stove top.Once mastered it worked well. Ditto the microwave. We didnt even try to work the washing machine or dishwasher. The complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, fudge, PROSECCO was very generous and much enjoyed. The village and location is great and we made use of the Fisherman's Return pub for a few meals and also hearty breakfasts. The sea is only a couple of hundred metres away, but if you have any joint problems, ( I have a knee replacement,) the slither down to the beach is quite steep and a bit concerning. For most people it would be of no consequence at all, but we found we went to the beach at Caister on Sea to exercise the dogs, more often for ease of access. All in all it was a lovely stay and good value. Thank you.

Lovely location
So close to the sea, out of the back gate and onto the dunes. A comfortable and well kitted out property. I think the cleanliness of the accommodation could be better, it’s looking a little grubby unnecessarily. Skirting boards could do with a wipe, black mould on the bathroom ceiling and cobwebs in various corners. A used tissue under a bed from a previous visitor. Despite this, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as Winterton Cottages
