The room was fantastic. It’s just about the only thing in the hotel that was. The bar in the restaurant were not open, even though I had called the property to make certain that they were open and available. The elevator in the hallway to the third floor was frigid. The hotel appeared to be shortstaffed, and the breakfast area was very cold. I do not recommend this property as a matter fact I would like to get compensated for this. One of the reasons why I wanted the on site restaurant was because that area of Grand Rapids is dangerous to drive at night and especially in inclement weather. And much to my chagrin it was exactly as advertised busy and hard to navigate. I would not recommend this hotel until they go and get their heating issues fixed and get staffed back up so that they can keep their restaurant bar open.

Staff was great. But the property is old, needs a deep clean. The pool area was perfect for families but they rent out rooms for guest to have birthday parties which is not very relaxing with lots of kids running and not quite after 10pm. I know it’s more of a parent problem but not fun for other guests.
