Staff was wonderful. Helpful in every way! Let me start with I'm hard of hearing. That being said, I heard doors slamming all night, water running through pipes and screaming children next door. The curtains can't be pulled to block the light that shines all night in the window. I realize maybe it was just a bad night for noises, but wonder if the walls are paper thin!

In Grand Junction to visit our daughter @ CMU. Staying downtown versus out on Horizon near the interstate is a much better way to experience Grand Junction.

it was a nice stay, no complaints, room was clean, the indor pool is a great idea because it was so cold outside. free breakfast all you can eat lol

Great location in downtown. Close to shops and farmers market.

Overall experience was good but room smelled smokey even though the hotel claimed to be smoke free

The location was wonderful. Love being in the downtown area got there to late to be able to comment about pool exercise room surprised there was no blow dryer. But no big deal

Perfect spot for walking to restaurants, bars etc. There are 3 hotels downtown and this one has tempurapedic beds so it's the obvious choice to me :) Staff is great too and the breakfast isn't bad.

The room was large and very comfortable. I had an excellent night's sleep on the Tempurpedic bed. Great stay overall!

Everything went sooooooooooooo smoothly. Great, comfortable room, nice pool and hot tub, terrific staff - really genuinely a nice experience. No restaurant on site, but lots to choose from within a few blocks. The hotel staff even got milk for the baby the first night we were there. Terrific Experience!

The Hotel was located near the Grand Junction Rockies stadium, clean, accommodating, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definately stay here in the future.

I picked this Hotel for the pool. the bad part was this hotem was remodling and the noise and a lot of the hotel you couldnt get to. We couldnt use the pool because they were laying tile and the whole place was a mess!!!!

My stay was really great. The rooms were large and remodeled (large desk, couch, flat screen, kitchenette). The mattress was one of those postepedic (sp?) and I REALLY liked it. Slept like a log both nights. In the lobby they had a beer and wine tasting both nights with food from a local spot. I will definately stay there next trip to Grand Junction.

Hotel was noisy. We checked out after one night. We didn't sleep well - lumpy pillows and hearing noises and plumbing from other rooms. We moved to the Sheraton next door, and had a nicer and quieter room, soft pillows, and a good night's sleep.

Forget any old bad reviews that might still be out there-- this hotel has had a makeover supreme, and the new, good reviews are the ones you want to believe. BTW, there's been a name change: It's now Main Street Suites, Ltd. We came in on the train, That this hotel is within walking distance of the Amtrak station was the first draw for us. Then, after we walked over and checked in, I realized I'd forgotten my cell phone charger. The lady at the front desk said "no problem" and promptly produced a whole basket of chargers. I was tired, and sat down in a nearby chair, and realized I was right at the area where the free social hour (free drinks and hors deouvers (sp))was underway. BO-NUS! Finally up to the room, and flopped down on the bed and --- WONDERFUL! These are Tempurpedic beds with fluffy duvets-- I'm in heaven here! Pulled out my wireless netbook, and hooked right up to the free internet. Bars of soap 3/4 of an inch thick in the bathroom, Wolfgang Puck coffee with brewer in the room, right next to the fridge, Thin-screen TV. What a great night. The beds alone made us wish we could stay another night! In the morning, the free breakfast was a REAL breakfast. Freshly cut fruit, eggs, corned beef hash, hash browns, french toast, waffles, all the usual bagels, sweet rolls, cereals, juices, coffee etc. The people were great, all the guests were happy and chatting, and individually complimenting the breakfast lady on the great breakfast. A great stay, and we'll be back. Next time we'll be driving, and I was happy to note they have lots of free parking. It will be worth it to find out how to get there from the Interstate!

It took close to 30 minutes to check-in with a prepaid registration. We went out for a few hours and returned just in time to see a family leaving our room - they desk clerk (same as check-in) gave our room to someone else - then our room keys no longer worked and had to be reset. Gee -other than that all was well.

A great location to stay. We were able to walk downtown for meals and activities. Staff was friendly but many housekeepers could not speak English so it was difficult to communicate however they would find help when needed. Very nice people. Since we got our room on [...]we think we were given a smaller room but a great deal money wise. We were there 4 nights and housekeepers spent very little time each day, merely replacing items but not really cleaning. However, wonderful place to stay for location and friendly people. Continental breakfast was okay..not great...so we went out most mornings.

We stayed here on our way to another location and to visit the cemetary where my Grandmother is buried. The only problem we had was someone had a couple of dogs that barked.[...]

I was pleased with my stay at Main Street Suites. I had been there when it was hawthorne suites. Different name but same great hotel. They have a free social hour with local items.Fun! All in all great beds and location and a really friendly staff.

we enjoyed being close to all the great stuff downtown

This hotel has professional desk service that will check you in quickly. The rooms are excellent and roomy and one will feel very comfortable. The bed is wonderful and the pillows very soft.
