Room Mate Leo is lodged in an old apartment building in the heart of Granada. Steps away from the Cathedral, the Old Alcacería (market), and the Madrassa, and a short walk from both the base of La Alhambra and the Albayzín mountains, the location is superb. The staff, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the beautiful renovations of the old building, including the comfortable private terraces of the interior fifth floor rooms, the secured elevators, and the breathtaking light tower formed by the interior void of the windows, seen from the base where the reception desk is; the whole place and stay is exquisitely simple and pleasant. Highly enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay at Room mate Leo. It is situated on a pedestrian only shopping walk which was great. Our room faced the back of the hotel on the 5th floor so we didnt have any issues with noise. The room was a little on the smaller side with one window that didnt let in a lot of light so was a bit dark, also our room didnt have a magnifying mirror, hence the 4 star rating i have given it but the bed was comfy and the bathroom spacious. It had a fridge and a safe and i must say the Room mate hotels(we also stayed in one in Madrid) have the best hairdryers i have ever encountered in any hotel. The breakfast was good and the roof top was a great place to sit and chill out with a glass of wine after a big day of sightseeing. Huge shout out to Alex on front desk for always doing his best to help is out. Great stay. Thanks
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Granada. Staff were helpful in making us feel at home in the city and find our way. Everything was in easy walking distance. The hotel is quiet and clean, with good breakfast. Something special and a nice touch, which we had not encountered at other hotels, was provision of a free WiFi dongle to carry while exploring the city, so we would have free access to the internet without using our own mobile phone allowances. We had stayed at another Room Mate hotel in Malaga, and mentioned we would be going to a Room Mate Leo in Granada. The staff there forwarded all our details to the Room Mate Leo, making check-in particularly easy. There are busy streets of restaurants conveniently nearby. They are for tourists, with tourist prices, but we nonetheless had good experiences at all of La Bicicleta, Monje and El Desiro.
Great location on pedestrian street in the heart of the city and at an incredible price. Make sure to take a bottle of wine to the rooftop terrace and enjoy the views and sounds before dinner. The is the perfect place to stay in Granada!
We enjoyed staying here. The room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel made it especially welcoming with little touches such as lollies, coffee in the room, free water. The staff were extremely helpful and willing to assist in any way. Wifi was great but we also had the use of a free pocket wifi when we went exploring. We would definitely come back here!
My husband and I stayed in Room 501, it has its own balcony which had 2 chairs a drinks table and 2 sun loungers, which was perfect for the warmer days especially after sightseeing or you’d eaten too much!!! I read on a previous review that there weren’t any tea/coffee facilities in the room, well there are! The Location is perfect as it’s closer to the nicer eateries aswell as must see places. The official Granada Tourist hop on/off bus stop is a short distance walk away. I recommend you to go and enjoy this wonderful Hotel and wonderful City.
This is a cool hotel. We had a room at the back with a terrace which was nice and quiet. Was great to be right in the middle of the city and be able to enjoy the outside space to chill out. Room was very clean and a good size. Good choice of breakfast food available all of a good standard. Definitely would come back.
Room Mate Leo is a very, very good 3* hotel, perfect for a short break in the wonderful city of Granada. Stayed on a room only basis for 4 nights and found the room very clean and comfortable. As others have already said, the rooms are on the small side but it had everything you need and the bed was lovely. The selection of toiletries in the bathroom was impressive as were the little treats and notes left by the maid. Didn't opt for breakfast at the hotel as we are not big breakfast eaters but the breakfast room looked nice and it's open till noon. What we really likes about the hotel is it's location - slap bang in the heart of the city, a couple of minutes walk from the beautiful cathedral. Nice places to eat in Bib-rambla square a few steps away and really convenient for local buses. We got the airport bus one way for 3 euros each and it drops off at the Cathedral. The reception staff are really helpful and speak good English. On the way back the reception staff kindly booked a taxi for us. The taxi's can't pick up directly outside as it's a pedestrian street but the driver came to the hotel reception and walked us to his taxi parked nearby. Had 4 days in Granada but wish it was longer. Thank you Room Mate Leo, we will return one day soon
We loved the hotel for so many reasons. First, they were so helpful in sending us information about the parking situation before we arrived. The bad thing was that the parking lot was underground parking that was very tight - lots of columns and very hard to manoeuver the car. Would not have wanted to do this all on my own. The reception staff were wonderful. They were positive and helpful - making us feel very welcome at the hotel. The fact that the hotel also supports AIDS research was very important to us. The terrace on the roof was stunning. We enjoyed sitting there and listening the church bells. The room was lovely and modern. However, it lacked shelving in the bathroom and the closets. The room was a bit noisy in the morning with early morning garbage collection leading to a 5 o'clock wake-up. Hard on light sleepers like me. The hotel had a very good breakfast, but there were no fresh eggs. The eggs were often cold and the hot food was not replenished adequately. There was, however, lovely fresh fruit - such as strawberries - to start our morning. We would highly recommend this hotel.
The room was clean and pleasantly appointed. Although breakfast was not included, we were offered a reduced rate of 7,50 Euros per day, if we signed up at check-in. Since we had early morning starts, we agreed. Most other hotel breakfasts were 12,50 Euros. The price was right, and the breakfast buffet included a variety of hot and cold options, juices, coffees, etc. It was well worth the price. The location of the hotel was good, and the reception staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
