Fantastic staff and a lovely breakfast in executive lounge. Very nice room and well cleaned. I strongly recommend this hotel. Relax area is nice with a little pool but enough. In the middle of Gothenburg and near to everything.
We stayed for 3 night, it's not the first time we stay in a hotel in Goteborg. I must say that the only pro of this hotel would be the centric location and the sandwich and coffee we got when we checked out really early. Cons would be, the out dated decor and feeling you get, the unorganized refurb that is taking place builders leaving the guest areas with mud, builders eating of the breakfast buffet, the bad set up of the breakfast not to establishment standard. We had to move the first morning because I the meeting room where breakfast was being held builders where working we literally had to move because I had a builder on a later right behind me tampering with the lights right next to out table. NO HEALTH AND SAFETY AT ALL. We changed table didn't want to get the builder on top of me or debris in my breakfast there was no supervisors to talk to only waiters that cared about topping up the breakfast nothing else. The shower screen in our room was point less just covered 60% of the area that gets affected by the water so we had a towel on the floor ( to soak up the water)that was constantly wet very unpleasant at the time you step out of the shower. The kettle had to be plugged in by the bed there was no sockets close to tables, so that was the only area to be used. Btw the socket was on an extension cord from the other side of the bed ( one would think there should be a proper socket by the bed). I normally don't leave bad feedback because I see when people make an effort and sometimes honestly things do go wrong, and yes refurb do happen but for the type of hotel this is a lot of these things should not happen in my opinion and yes this is my opinion backed up by facts pure and simple. I do hope this feedback gets looked at and taken in to consideration. I will most likely not be staying here again I don't think it's value for money and I would rather choose an other brand.
We felt like we stayed at half a hotel. It will be lovely when the restaurant and terrace are finished... Until then the facilities aren't great... But location is still spot on and the breakfast was very good. You will only here the building noise if you are close to the ground floor, we stayed on 7th floor at back of building and didn't hear anything (other than at Breakfast) We would stay when finished....I am sure it will be much more expensive too tho...
Read this if you're visiting this hotel in the next few weeks. 1. They are doing maintenance at the main restaurant at they start working around 7.40/8am in the morning. It feels like somebody is drilling above you. 2. There's also construction work at the building next door. As to the hotel, it is very dated and needs a refurbishment asap. Rooms are small and the bathroom is a joke. Grabbing an elevator takes forever and the breakfast buffet is horrible and simple. The only good thing is that it is in the heart of Gothenburg.
Well, I have been sitting in my bed listening to the sounds of a building site outside my bedroom window since 7am this morning. I mean drills, clanging sounds, men talking, the full works. Is this acceptable for 7am at a hotel? I would say not! They are renovating part of this hotel at the moment and you can't avoid it! If by any chance you are an early riser or could sleep through the drills, you will notice that the breakfast room leads into the building site anyway. Oh and my bath had many hairs in when I first arrived, and my TV doesn't work. Overall I will be glad to get out of here!
The staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and the location of the hotel is so accessible to everything you want to see in Göteborg. Great to visit this hotel and definitely will book again.
We stayed at Elite Park for one night and though the first impression was fancy, the hotel didn't meet our expectations as a four star hotel. The room size (juniorsvit) was nice but unfolding the mattress of the extra bed/bed sofa we noticed a big stain partly covered by the sheets (we didn't investigate wether it was vomit or blood - not very nice anyway). We probably should have complained, if we weren't in a hurry to get to a concert. The the next morning we realized the breakfast was very basic. You'd at least wish for the tea, coffee and milk to be ecological, some nice bread and more than two sorts of tasteless cheese. As the hotel seems to have ambitions, judging by the first impression and the price, you'd expect cleanliness and a breakfast of good quality. The staff was friendly though, and the location is good.
The gym looks nice in photos but the aerobic equipment like the bike is broken (only one), pool was closed. Gym closes at 10pm (early!) and the two weight machines are bolted so the seat etc can not be adjusted for a person's size. Disappointing as I choose hotels based on their gyms when traveling.
Love this hotel, both because of its location right on Avenyn (and therefore close to shopping, dining and sights) and its size (cozy lobby, small hotel feel), and I love the suave mellow decor of most Elite hotels. Add comfy beds and a decent breakfast (despite not having a real kitchen as the restaurant is being redone) , and this hotel makes for a great stay. We got a room on the 8th floor to avoid street noise, and my only complaint is that the AC didn't work ( nor did they fix it during the day, when I reported it). Still, enjoyed my stay and would definitely return a fourth time! 💓
Walking distance to most attractions. Clean. Nice staff. Great big breakfast buffet. Room was a bit warm. You could occasionally hear loud traffic. Mini bar is expensive. Parking isn't cheap either. But it is a good hotell that I would certainly recommend.
