For some reason after reading all on their website and it being rated 4* we were ecpecting a lovely night sleep and nice pool and gym to use however the reception area was 4* the rooms weer adequate bonus of free movies on tv , pool was awful tiny and freezing and we mainly chose for the gym which consisted of a treadmill and cross trainer and bike not a fitness centre at all so this should be explained think they need pics of this and their fitness centre on their website would certainly out a few peaople off and the snack shop on reception after waiting 20mins at reception consisted of a cardboard box pulled out with some chocolates and sweets in you can buy at around $6 each !! Won't be staying here and certainly not recommending
No TV but you can watch movies in your room. Two days no internet - we are working on it! $9 a bowl of chips and $10 for a wine. Then the lift started playing up. More like the Munsters Household. Staff were good Management need to show concern for clients - this one will never be staying in a Ramada Hotel.
Good price and food was fresh. Service was ok but they only had 2 staff serving, which was ok for the size of the restaurant. It's right on the marina so a good walk around looking at the boats was good after a full tummy of seafood and good desserts.
After staying at the hotel over the recent weekend we have to say we were very disappointed with the hotel, Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable but our room had many issues. we couldn't change channel on the tv , the aircon wouldn't adjust and I had to hit the iron to get it to actually get it to work. The swimming pool which my daughter and I were looking forward to spending the day in was just basically YUCK. We both scrapped our knees as its the weirdest pool in design I have ever come across. We attended at function the Saturday night for a sit down meal and sadly i have to say it was not good at all, the meat both pork and beef everyone was struggling to cut let alone eat, the dessert was undercooked. The waitresses were more then friendly however our table waited over an hour at the start to get a drink served to us, as they obviously needed more staff as the poor girls seems to have way to many people then they could get around to. Breakfast Buffet was less then poor quality, the pancake were basically rubber, and very little to choose from. With so much food available to the Gold Coast I was expecting a far better range of .. The lack of a even a coffee machine even surprised us.
When I booked this hotel I didn't realise that there were 2 marinas... This hotel is a bit far from shopping centres, restaurants & bars and they don't have a courtesy bus or shuttle bus even to the supermarket. The room was ok but compared to Ramada Hervey Bay it was well overpriced. Housekeeping leaves a bit to be desire... same bug lived in the bath and another on the floor near the entry for the 5 days we were there. There was Tea & coffee making facilities but no milk. Had to ask for some amenities to be replenished because housekeeping wasn't up to scratch. Reception staff were very helpful as was the bistro staff. In the booking process They didn't mention that there is a huge construction going on across the Marina with very large machinery starting up & vibrating the ground quite early for those of us on holidays.
Took three rooms for two adults and four kids for a stop over at Dreamworld on the way to Noosa. Decent enough hotel which served its purpose but we both wanted to use the gym. A stepper, treadmill and bike in a pokey room does not constitute a Fitness Centre. No resistance machines, not even a single dumbbell. Please don't mislead people.
Stayed here September just overnight (last minute booking). Reception staff very helpful, obliging and gave us best deal they could, given we were coming in later that night. Room was okay for what we needed and breakfast was adequate - we don't do bacon and eggs, so the fruit, and hot vegetarian options were perfect for us. Lovely outlook over the harbour and imagine it would be really nice for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Foyer is really nice. Free wifi was beneficial.
Really nice hotel with an adjacent marina. Some might think it was out of the way but the drive to Surfers Paradise is not that bad and easily accessible by car. Lunch in their bar/cafe (fish and chips) by the marina was very nice and good value. However, breakfast in the restaurant was most unappetising and not very good value at all. My best tip: if you are able, drive north for about 10 minutes around to Sanctuary Cove where you will find at least 3 excellent places for breakfast and coffee. Apart from breakfast, we enjoyed our stay at Ramada Hope Harbour very much.
Husband and I stayed at the Ramada for two nights. Shane at reception was very friendly and helpful. On arrival my husband and I enjoyed a drink at the bar after checking in. You are given a free drinks voucher. Our room was very modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable and on the first night I wasn't able to stay awake to watch a movie because it was so comfortable. The shower was my favourite thing in the room because it had excellent pressure and heat. Very happy to have stayed and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!
We stayed at the Ramada for 4 nights, the staff were welcoming friendly Room service-the food was terrible, the worst we have ever experienced. Although the rooms were clean the bottom of the shower screen needed a good clean. The bed was hard, and the pillows not very comfortable. A plus free movies!
