Ramada Hotel Hope Harbour

Nice looking hotel on arrival, but for the price the rooms are very basic and poorly stocked with essentials such as tea and sugar etc. I have stayed in much nicer and luxurious hotel rooms for a lot less than they charge here. Won't be going again.

Marlin Bar for a late lunch. Great views to go with a nice meal. I love the relaxed atmosphere of the harbour. Meals were massive. I couldn't eat tge whole burger. I was nice but huge. My partner had the steak sandwich which was smaller but was just as tasty.

This is nicely situated for where I needed to be. Room was a good size, opening out to the courtyard pool area. It is an older hotel, but clean and has been kept up reasonably well. Staff are very obliging and nice. Would I stay again? Yes I would.

The Ramada is a well presented hotel located on Hope Harbour at the northern end of The Gold Coast. The hotel is well presented, our room was clean and opened onto a pool beyond which was the marina. Basic tea and coffee facilities only, no microwave. The foyer was light and bright opening onto the marina, as did the bar and restaurant. The restaurant was ok, the outlook made up for the average fare. It was probably the hotel service staff that truly made our stay though, they were really personable and service orientated.

You definitely need a car if you stay here. It's a long drive to get there and you need a car to get to shops and food places. The hotel is quite isolated. The appeal of the location had been its waterfront setting but it wasn't all that impressive. Maybe when the development across the narrow waterway is complete it might be more attractive. Our room was a long walk from the lifts and required descent of a staircase. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an extremely comfy bed and pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful. I probably wouldn't stay here again though. It doesn't have enough of interest to keep you there and you need to drive quite a distance to do anything.

I booked two rooms here on the 5th of June: one king room and a twin with two queen beds to accomodate four guests in total. The reception concierge was welcoming, and very amiably helped with our luggage as we arrived weary and late at night. The rooms were well presented with modern furnishings. Complimentary films and wifi were a pleasant addition. The view of the marina was lovely to wake to. I was unable to stay for breakfast, however, my family enjoyed the breakfast, which was fresh and plentiful for the $22 it cost per head. My only suggestion - provide a complimentary biscuit with the tea and coffee, or have one available through room service. Sometimes it is the smallest indulgences that enhance the pleasure of any stay.

This is a very nice hotel overlooking the boat marina that offers very large rooms and good soft beds. The staff were extremely pleasant and the presentation of breakfast was excellent. The hotel was a little hard to find if you are driving however, would stay again.

This is a little strange sort of hotel. Nothing bad. Certainly good things. Firstly the reception staff were always super friendly and helpful. I came very early and they could accomodate an early checkin. I asked to change rooms with a nicer view and again were very helpful. I asked for a late check out and again were helpful. (I'm not normally such a demanding guest). The reception staff were bubbly and friendly and that is my main memory of the hotel. The layout of the hotel is plain weird due to the shape of the hotel. Welcome to Te maze of corridors. The hotel rooms are somewhat boxy. They are spotlessly clean and are well furnished. Just with no character or charm. It is what it is. Functional. Nice setting along the harbour. Shame across the narrow harbour seems to be a development site or something. Maybe once that's built will seem more lively area. At moment is a quiet harbour a drive from anything of interest. All up, an ok hotel. Friendly service is the highlight. Handy if you need to be in this area. Not sure what the market here really is. Doesn't seem to be either business or holiday. Great if you need a room in his area.

We were in town on the weekend of the boat show so that meant prices were, well let's say there were no discounts the Ramada is standard Ramada. I find them a no frills alternative the 5 stars and the problem is I like 5 star establishments. The staff were friendly and helpful but when the bags were taken to our Room by the lovely lady on reception it meant one of those cutesey signs saying back in 10 minutes was placed on the desk. We had one meal just after arrival and decided to eat out on every other occasion except for our last night when after a late lunch hubby decided on a meal. Problem was room service was closed and the time was just after 8.30....so it was chips ( the crisp style ) or Doritos. Or we were told that we could order in pizza. Given that I gave away pizza in my teen years particularly the boxed delivered stuff that was just not an option. Rooms here are basic, although the serenity we found overlooking the small marina was very nice. There seemed to be a problem with towels. We were only given 1 so rang down and again the lovely lady from reception delivered to our room and promptly. As we waited for a taxi that evening I noticed other guests departing reception to their rooms with bundles of towels so figured it wasn't just us. The hotel has a seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday nights but we didn't try it so no comment on that. They also have a hair salon and it gets a tick. Lovely lady and she stocks some beautiful non comedogenic products and a small range of gift items.

If you are after a relaxed, 4 star escape, then this hotel has it all. Location to Sanctuary Cove, Curan Cove and the start of the Gold Coast. The staff are friendly, the rooms neat and tidy. This is only a three storey hotel, so if you have a phobia of elevators, this is the hotel for you, as you can walk up the open stairs to every level. However, on Level two, there are stairs down to the outside rooms, so if you are disabled, then ensure you tell the reception when booking.
