Riverfront Cabin: Iconic Mt. Index Views & Hot Tub
Riverfront serenity meets iconic mountain views. At Oxbow Cabin, the Skykomish River is your backyard and Mt. Index is your horizon. Recently updated in 2026 to elevate your stay, the cabin pairs warm, European-inspired design with the rugged beauty of the PNW. From morning coffee on the riverbank to starlit hot tub sessions and cozy fireside evenings, Oxbow is more than a stay—it’s a deep breath of mountain air.
Newly Reimagined for 2026 Oxbow Cabin has been thoughtfully transformed and is now ready to welcome guests. The space has undergone a complete interior refresh with updated finishes, curated furnishings, and warm, elevated design details throughout. Our listing photos now capture the refreshed interiors, highlighting the updated finishes, curated furnishings, and overall feel of the space. After several months of intentional renovation, we’re excited to share the new Oxbow with you. We cannot wait to Welcome you.
The Oxbow Experience
Direct River Access: A short stroll down the bank leads you from the cabin to the edge of the Skykomish River—perfect for morning coffee reflections, dipping your toes in the water, or simply sitting along the shoreline to enjoy the view.
The Mt. Index Backdrop: Enjoy one of the most recognizable mountain views in the Skykomish Valley. On clear days, Mt. Index rises beyond the river and creates an unforgettable backdrop for your stay.
Endless Hiking & Waterfalls: Oxbow Cabin sits in the heart of one of Washington’s most scenic hiking corridors. From Wallace Falls and Bridal Veil Falls to Alpine Lakes and Greider Lake Trail, countless adventures begin just minutes from the cabin.
Stevens Pass Adventures: Just 25 minutes from Stevens Pass, Oxbow Cabin is an ideal home base for skiing, snowboarding, and year-round mountain adventures.
Outdoor Sanctuary: Unwind in the outdoor hot tub, gather around the gas fire pit in Adirondack chairs, or spend quiet mornings watching the river flow by.
Modern Comforts & Design
Heated Bathroom Floors: A touch of luxury for chilly mountain mornings.
Fully Equipped Kitchen: Stocked for cooking and gathering, including a waffle maker, spices, and both Keurig and drip coffee makers.
Inviting Living Space: A beautifully redesigned gathering space featuring a Indoor Gas fireplace, large windows framing the river view, and a curated collection of adventure books to enjoy after a day outdoors.
Peaceful Sleeping Spaces
Main Suite: King bed for a restful night’s sleep.
Guest Room: A quiet, comfortable queen sanctuary.
The Loft: A cozy queen-bed hideaway (note: accessed via steep stairs and may not be suitable for all guests). Open to family room below.
A Note on Mountain Living For added peace of mind, the cabin is equipped with an on-demand backup generator to help keep the lights and heat running in the event of a power outage.
Please Note: Because the cabin is on a community well, the water pump requires external power that is not connected to the generator. In the event of a neighborhood power outage, water will be unavailable until power is restored. We appreciate your understanding of this unique mountain quirk.
Living in Nature Oxbow Cabin is surrounded by forest and riverfront wilderness where nature is part of the experience. We take precautions with regular professional pest control and thorough cleaning, but occasional insects or natural elements can still appear from time to time. It’s simply part of staying in a beautiful mountain setting.
We look forward to welcoming you to Oxbow Cabin and sharing this special corner of the Skykomish Valley with you.
Other Things to Note: * Heads up! The loft bedroom is accessed via a steep ladder, which may not be suitable for everyone. *Just a friendly note: We're part of a private riverfront gated community, so you'll have neighbors nearby. *Embracing Nature: While our pest control company works hard to keep pests away, there's always a chance you might come across one during your stay as we are in the woods in nature. Please note this before booking. *Safety first! Rivers can be unpredictable, so please exercise extreme caution (use at your own risk) when near the water. *Refreshing well: Our well water may have a faint mineral smell, but rest assured, it's absolutely safe. *The cabin does not have AC. We have a quite a few trees that add shade at the cabin as well as extra fans in the family room, bedrooms and loft. *In the winter months our neighborhood roads are well-plowed. But during a storm it can take some time to plow the roads. We recommend All-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive vehicles or bringing chains as we cannot predict snow & ice storms. Given we are in a remote mountain area, these storms can also cause power outages which are out of our control. *We do have an on-demand backup generator for the cabin's electricity, but because we are on a community well if the power goes out there is not water.
The cabin is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

The property was not secluded but was beautiful and very comfortable. The hot tub overlooking the river with decorative lighting was fantastic. The moss covered trees in the deck were my favorite. I'm from Colorado and i have never seen so much green. A great place to stay.
This cabin is absolutely perfect! It was a beautifully crafted getaway for me and a friend with the most perfect patio coffee views of the river and snow capped mountains.. I miss it already! The host has thought of every detail. The chairs, the throw pillows.. the warm bathroom floors. Love love love. Not to mention, the beds and pillows are lush and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back! Alisha has a gem waiting to share with you.
