Spent a day and evening for works team building. Men played golf ladies had spa and treatments. The facilities at the hotel are very good. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, ample car parking, albeit very small odd placed spaces. Hotel is very big, but there are plenty of staff so we never had to wait for check in, drinks or pool service. The hotel had 2 buildings connected by glass walkway. I stayed in old part. Rooms are fantastic.... beautiful original features, huge, spotlessly clean, have everything you need...tv, iron, hair dryer, safe, toiletries. Bed was very comfy. The communal areas are tastefully decorated and spotless. Restaurant and bar very spacious, but very pricey! Pool area includes jacuzzi, steam room and sauna... all very clean. Towel hire. I had treatments in the spa... they were fabulous... very reasonably priced and again in perfect environment. Food was very good, service excellent. Breakfast is buffet style, with plenty of choice and availability. Loved this hotel and will definitely visit again
I had my wedding reception here on the 8th September and I have to say me, my husband and all of our guests very happy with everything! The service was really amazing, and we felt that the staff were so friendly and helpful, they honestly couldn't do enough for us! Me and my mum had labelled all of the boxes with decorations in to make it easier for the staff with setting up so we were hoping everything was where we wanted it to be- when the toastmaster (who was brilliant by the way) let us into the room to check it all over before the guests I can honestly say on behalf of both my husband and myself we were speechless because everything was where we wanted it to be and looked stunning! we were so happy we chose the Wedding house lights package and light up dance floor also. The food was so prompt and hot when it arrived all of our guests commented on how tasty and nice it was. The same was also said for the evening in regards to the food! A big thank you to Karen Openshaw for being so helpful and friendly, she was so brilliant and as said above the Toastmaster was also brilliant. Everything was perfect and we had a day to remember! The only thing that could be improved on is for there to be baby changing facilities in the toilets. Overall we are very very happy and definitely reccommend Hilton Pickup Hall for wedding receptions!! Sophie and Thomas 8.9.2017
Booking with meal extremely confusing and costly Uninformative, inattentive and unhelpful reception staff. No consideration for disabled people with regards to the leisure centre and the disabled parking facilities
The cellular service of O2-UK is unstable, weak, or absent most of the time. The toilet lever needed 2 or 3 pushes for flushing solid wastes. Perhaps this is the origins of doing a number 1 and a number 2? :) The room was not thoroughly cleaned before I got in. There were small pieces of fabric on the carpet. There was also pieces of clear packing tape on the floor, one of which got stuck on the bottom of my foot when I stepped on it. The above-mentioned are minor, though. Overall, my stay was fine.
Although I was given a full refund by the Manager 2 days after departure. This is the worst Hotel I have ever experienced anywhere! Just not what one has come to expect from Hilton Hotels over many years
A excellent stay with very helpful and polite staff. This hotel is a very clean and extremly well run. The rooms are excellent and well equiped. The bathrooms are well fitted and clean. The breakfast was a mixture of cold and cooked all to a very high standard. A very enjoyable stay.
A really nice relaxing hotel on a golf course. The rooms were fine and the breakfast offering would meet most people's needs. We've been here before and the hotel staff looked after our party of nine people. A hotel worth visiting again
A weekend on dinner bed and breakfast basis with Car Club friends to tour the Cotswolds. Plenty of parking with warm comfortable rooms and lots of hot water in the bathroom. The pool was very relaxing after a day in the car, if a bit crowded at times. Breakfast fine, unhurried with plenty of choice. Dinner (set menu for the group on three evenings): food was excellent, tasty and well presented. Wine ordered with the meal was slow to arrive. Our room was large compared to others' in the group. A wedding disco in the hotel grounds meant it was noisy on Saturday night. But it was a wedding after all........
Stayed at this hotel as the back up van driver for five guys cycling Lands End to John O'Groats. The staff member on reception was brilliant and a credit to the hotel. I also spoke to the Hotel General Manager and it is clear that the staff selection and leadership comes from him. We had an evening meal in the bar and breakfast in the morning both were excellent. The hotel does have a golf course but the grounds are blessed with many beautiful mature trees.
We went for a meal in the restaurant. As mentioned by another reviewer - finding a car parking space was hard work. Narrow approach roads and small spaces (and not many of them). Maybe this soured my start. There was no maitre d'hote etc (or that we could find) and we floundered around to find someone to help us re our booking. Food was ok but not going to set the world on fire. Likewise service ok. Seemed a tad pricey. ...as say maybe the battle with the parking made me unreasonable! Apologies if I am being unreasonable.
